    Close Call!

So I was doing the wash the other day and decided to wash my femme stuff. After I had finished, I put everything back in my hiding place and went on with my day.

I had a few moments in my day and decided I would organize my things again. I was taking an inventory of my stuff when I noticed I had a panty missing!

A momentary panic set in. I scrambled, looking in my bag, under the bed, everywhere. I thought it was lost to be found by someone else but me. I went back to the washer and saw that it was still in there! omg!! if I hadn't had the time to do my inventory the panty would no doubt have been discovered!

    Kimmy,

    We've all been there.

It's an iconic phrase from a reporter during the Falklands war, " I counted them all out, I counted them all back" referring to Harrier aircraft.

I apply it to my femme washing. Count them into the washer, count them out. One way to avoid losing an odd knicker is to put them all in a washbag together. One bag in, one bag out. I do the same with bras partly to stop hooks catching on other items and causing damage. Hose get their own bag too so they don't get damaged by a stray button, clasp or zip.
Who dares wears Get in, get out without being noticed

Kimmy, It's been decades since I had to hide anything. But I do remember that fear.

kind of sad, isn't it? we have to hide things in our own homes. I still do it since we're in one of those 'I don't want to see it" relationships. it no longer would be a deal breaker for her to find some of my femme things in the wash or even for her to come home unexpectedly and find me dressed but I try to avoid such things pretending it's 'to protect her feelings.' I suppose its just as much about avoiding getting the stink eye and a couple of days of tension between us. But its still sad that for so many of us that a frankly pretty benign activity has to be such a hot button issue.

I used to live with that fear. My adult son lives with me and he knows about me and has come home early a time or two and has seen me. No big deal..I don’t flaunt it , but it is what it is. He was getting ready to do some of his laundry recently, opened the washing machine and yelled upstairs to me…Dad..your panties are still in the washer!!! Oops! Haha

Had that in the past and still do to some degree. I?m like Audrey. Knows about it, but doesn?t want to see it. Some things would be a bigger issue however, like leaving a breast form out.

Krissy, your son?s finding your panties in the washer. Pretty funny. That I don?t have happen yet, but is great you are out that much.

Good for you Kimmy for being so careful. I also went through years of hiding but thankfully no more. I think my closest almost was forgetting I left a bra in my car glove department. Luckily I found it before wife - otherwise it would have been the classic - no, not having an affair, it?s mine conversation.

I have mentioned before that my wife knew of my desires, but had limits. One day I was at work, when it dawned on me that I left a "Fit and Flare" dress hanging on the towel bar in the bathroom. I was chilled to the bone. Dresses were not part of the accepted items. I got home from work to find the dress laid out on the bed. Fortunately, she did not make an issue of it, she merely asked if I found my clothes.

My wife is not appreciative of my femme wardrobe. I do my best to not rub it in her face, but on occasion I have slipped up and have left a garment out. At least twice: once a panty and once a bra. All she did was to fold them and place them on top of the washing machine, so a visitor who not find them.

I?ve spent so many years being paranoid about leaving clothing out. I?d often dress before going to work and then afterwards drive 3/4 of the way there to only have a panic attack and return home to do a double check. Glad those days are over!

You lucked out. That's how my marriage ended; leaving out that one item, giving myself away, starting the snowball rolling down the hill becoming bigger and bigger as it goes, until it hits something and explodes!

There's an addendum at post # 82 on that thread, too. It's about a ten minute read.
Why don't we understand our desire to dress, behave and feel like a girl? Because from childhood, boys are told that the worst possible thing we can be, is a sissy. This feeling is so ingrained into our psyche, that we will suppress any thoughts that connect us to being or wanting to be feminine, even to the point of creating separate personalities to assign those female feelings into.

Had that in my college years once, left a pair of panties in the dryer and a college roommate was with me. This was at a laundry mat. Luckily he did not see them and got them out. He was a nosey roommate at times and luckily I moved out of that apartment before it got worse

I'm fortunate that I've never had to deal with that fear. Since my wife hasn't laundered any underwear for me for nearly 5 years, and knows I only wear lace panties, if I ever left a pair in the washer or dryer, she'd simply tell me, "I think you missed something when you washed your underwear." We recently had to have a complete home inspection by our pest control company. The gent doing the inspection was going to look in every closet, nook, and cranny of the house. My wife thought I should box up all my dresses that were hanging in the guest bedroom closet. I told her there was no need as the dresses could easily be hers and the guy isn't going to be checking size labels. She agreed that I was right and there were no issues. She is very understanding of my cross dressing.

I'm finding the more feminine side of me...and I ❤️ this adventure.

Keep an eye on the dryer too. I almost got caught when a pair of my pretty panties got hung up inside the dryer. We have a front loading dryer, so its quite uncommon, but per Murphy's Law, the only thing that would hang up is a pair of panties..

When I have finished doing the washing, I always use a cloth around the inside of the machine. This to primarily to dry out any water that might be left in the door seal and also to ensure that no clothing has been left in it

So far, so good, but my biggest fear is losing track of a pair of panties

Back when I was getting my masters, I rented a room in a professor’s house. I was only on campus two days a week. After an evening class, I always went to the fitness center for a workout then back to the house for a shower before getting homework done.
Back home later one week, I was unpacking my duffel bag to launder my workout clothes and discovered my black, lacy, panties were missing. It took me about one second to picture them hanging on the hook in the professor’s bathroom! The blood rushed from my head and I almost fainted.

The following week when I entered my rented room on campus, my panties had been washed, folded, and were sitting on the bed. The professor didn’t say a word, but her smile and the twinkling in her eye as she greeted me told me all I needed to know.

    Kari,
One of those situations where one has to wonder .. what would your life look like today, if you had gone to the professor and said: "Well, you might as well know the whole story!!"

"Old Timer's" disease must be kicking-in for me, as I've done the pair of panties left in the washer or dryer 3 times in the last year. Fortunately for Deborah, there are multiple females in the home, and no one gives a second thought (well, at least I don't believe so!)
