Question re: breast growth
I hope that this question is not out of line for this forum. If so, my apologies. I've recently been prescribed medicine that, among other side effects is a chance of causing gynecomastia. Since I've started taking it I've noticed that I often have a strange sensation in my breasts. My nipples become very sensitive, almost irritated for no apparent reason. It hurts to have them rub on my shirt. I've not seen any changes in the size or shape of my breasts but I wondered if the sensations that I am experiencing are the beginnings of some breast development? In the past my blood work has shown my testosterone to be on the low side of the spectrum for a male and my estrogen has historically been on the high side of the spectrum. For any of you that are on HRT, am I experiencing the symptoms associated with breast development?

Your symptoms are similar to what some young males experience around puberty when estrogen and testosterone are beginning to sort out their roles. These symptoms do reflect breast tissue stimulation. Don’t hold your breath waiting for significant growth. You may experience slight growth, some growth, rare case lot of growth, or just sore nipples.

I constantly had sore nipples when cycling which I put down to a shirt rubbing.
It then happened after the boob job when I was wearing a sports bra. So not chafing.
Sore nipples are common, better get used to it. If they get really bad see a doctor just to make sure it is nothing sinister.

Early ln in my HRT regimen, I noted that I was developing lactation glands - confirmed by mammograms, not very much later. Change to hormonal levels can definitely cause changes in body aspects repressed by prior hormonal balances.
