    Fate sometimes takes a hand.

I have spoken about a group called Stitch. It is aimed at middle ages and upwards who want to form new friendships or just to go out somewhere.
Males and females and others who just want to fit in. (Moi)

I had gone along to a brunch for 12 people in an outdoor cafe. When ever I can I sit in the middle (center of attention) and usually it seems it is all GG's. On this day I sat opposite and to the right of a Greek lady with lots of curly hair. We spoke a little and she may have been curious.
At the end of the brunch (about 2 hours from memory) we were the last to leave and walked to the car park together. Here is where we parted company but with her asking me if I hugged.
Well you could have knocked me over with a feather.
"Yes I do". And we did.

The next week she asked to meet me again at the same cafe but just the two of us this time. I was over the moon and once again spent what I thought to be just a two hour brunch. No it was two and a half hours and then we went back to my house for another three hours.

This is where fate has come in. It seems that she is quite spiritual and believes things happen for a reason.
    We were meant to meet.
She had not intended going to the first meeting as she had cancelled her membership with Stitch and thought she might have been uninvited.
She had looked at my bio and wanted to meet me.
She is a Taurus and I am a Pisces which apparently are well suited.
The third time I met her was at her house for lunch on Good Friday. I arrived at midday (12) and did not leave until 11.30.
It seems we cannot get enough of each other.
Ah but here is the kicker.
We are just friends at her insistence and I have to be satisfied with that.

Since then we have spent hours and hours together and not ever been stuck for conversation.
She is very artistic with her drawing skills. Has a love of making things from forays on the beach and has green fingers.
Heavens there must be something that she is not good at that I can help with.

She has read my life story so know so much about me and I now wonder if that was wise. I think it is Blue Orchid who says "you can't un ring the bell". Perhaps I should have kept some mystery.

This woman has had such a profound and positive effect on me.
Recently after some bad experiences with those who are close to me (they lied to me) I crashed in a terrible way. My mood was really dark.
For the first time ever I reached out to someone and that was Despie. I just texted that I needed to talk to someone and that was her.
She called; I talked and came out of my dark place.
And here is the next part of fate for me.
Previously she and I had talked about feelings and emotions. What she had spoken about was the book I have written about in another section.
This book came up again and it piqued my interest enough to look at it online and decided to download it.
I read about one third of the text that night and could see so many things that applied to me that I was doing wrong and holding onto.

I am now taking a new look at the way I do things and I hope it helps my mood swings.
Ha ha all it really needs is a good woman.
There is more to come but I shall keep that for the next installment.

    Hi Philippa

You know I am a great supporter of you and it has made me happy to hear you so enthusiastic and positive.

Who knows how it will develop but if not romantically at least it sounds like you have made a great new friend

Ah Liz Jones. That is so true, patience is the key.
As to our weather I live on the West Coast and yes we see bush fires and huge flooding in the North of the state but where I am is mostly sand. The water rarely sits to form a flood even though at times it hoses it down.

One thing I had intended to expand upon was the hug.
Most of us will give a perfunctory hug to an acquaintance and maybe something warmer to a friend.
This woman hugs like a second skin and moulds herself into my body. Nothing sexual but sensual one the less.
OMG I can't get enough of that.

Thank you Amy, Connie and Lana for your kind words.

There is a power in (non-perfunctory) hugs. As humans, we need touch.

I?m so happy for you. There?s nothing like a close relationship. Mine is with my wife. My best friend. I also totally agree with your friend?s philosophy of things happen for a reason. How I met my wife is a perfect example. Enjoy all your activities. Looking forward to chapter two.
