Josie, I am on HRT but probably will not ever fully transition. I hope to move to South Florida once I retire so that I can live more fully as Robyn but I have to conceal Robyn from my kids and family.

In my mid 30s I did a 3 month "expiriment". I determined that hrt = boobs = transition. It wasn't much that quickly, but it was enough to start being noticeable under a t shirt from people that didn't have any idea what might be going on. I stopped because I decided it wasn't one hundred percent necessary to transition. Life was going to be tough whether I did or didn't. Everything was sort of working the way it was, so I left it be. Twenty years later, I don't think it would have mattered. It may have been the right choice at the time. I could easily wonder how life would have turned out differently. I don't really regret my decision. It was right at the time.

Here in the uk, to get HRT you have to jump through several hoops and have to be transitioning, otherwise you cant have it

While I'm not on HRT per se, I recently consulted with my cardiologist and have changed my blood pressure medication to one that is also a commonly prescribed anti-androgen which is frequently used in HRT. My dosage is about one third of what it would be for HRT. I would pursue a full HRT regiment in a heartbeat if it only affected me but I have a wife and adult children to consider as well, so I find myself in an odd middle ground.

I'm on a testosterone blocker for my prostate. I've been on it for 9 years.
Recently started wondering why I have NO leg hair. Looked it up, it was that med. (I was wondering why my urologist had been asking if I'd grown boobs.)
Appparently I've been micro dosing myself into a mini transition for years. Everything I've read says if I could get my hands on estrogen, I'd have boobs quickly.

If that's the case, I'm glad I live in the US. I was able to start HRT by simply asking for it. I have been on injectable estradiol valerate for over 13 years, and it's one of the best decisions I have made.

I have been on HRT for 5 years off and on mostly on. I knew I could never transition but wanted breasts and other benefits. Stopped about three months ago and don?t plan to go back on. I did get my breasts 38 full d cup look good. But my only advice is if you are thinking about you really need to be sure really sure you will not be able to hide them, I haven?t been shirtless in 5 years now.

I was on HRT since March of 2016 until earlier this year. An EKG in prep for a knee replacement and subsequent cardiac follow up found that I had 100% blockage in 2 heart arteries and 75% in one other. I stopped HRT immediately on medical recommendation and had triple bypass surgery on April 3 of this year. I?m doing ok except for atrial flutter which will be treated on June 12. HRT is out for me.

The takeaway? If you do HRT, realize that there is a possibility of cardiac issues and urge your primary doctor to do yearly EKGs.

I don't contribute much anymore but I've been trying to tell people here this for over 6 years . This is how my fiance died Jan 2018 . I'm grateful you survived because it has been absolutely devastating and life changing for me and if I am honest is why I am no longer in the life . I've been yelled at and cursed by all means of trans/cd people when I try to tell what happened so I am glad at least you believe me .
It absolutely annihilated his cardiac system and he was 6'4+ 180 lbs pro skier and it got him .
I'm not for this at all , its not candy and wont turn you into anyone/thing else . If you (not you Charla) need it in order to behave/curb aggression then you have more problems than HRT will help .
    Peace out .

In my case HRT was really beneficial, as I'm a lot calmer and no longer drink to excess. My blood pressure is also lower. Before HRT my blood pressure was 160/100 mm Hg, and now it is around 125/60. By the grace of God I didn't suffer a stroke when I had the high blood pressure.

I had a 5 way bypass open heart surgery 2 1/2 years ago they removed five stints and used a vein from my left leg to put into heart. Since then about 6 months ago I quit taking my blood pressure medication as my blood pressure was getting so low I felt like passing out. Blood pressure then was 90/60 and even after quitting my blood pressure is still like 127/65. I?ve ask about going on get again and they still say no. Anyway guess I?ll just keep going on my own as I have only one teste now other dissolved and one I have left is small like marble. I have no hair on my legs whatsoever I have breasts 38C and very feminine looking already. I assume it?s due to very low testosterone and high estrogen on my own. I was chatting with someone on tinder earlier and the guy got really pissed off at me. I said what?s up with this. He said I thought you was a genuine female. I said I use my female name and my profile picture is me. He said but you?re a man and I?m straight and all kinds of other comments. Anyway I said I?m sorry you feel like you were deceived wasn?t my intention we finally came to a good conversation and alls ok now. I said you need to watch closely before going off like that. It?s not my fault I didn?t make my profile to deceive and besides tinder is mainly gay or is my understanding anyway

i was on HRT for a year but i decided it wasn't for me... it was causing a lot of side effects that were affecting my health, it was too much of an expense and it caused a lot of mental health problems for me when i forgot to take the estradiol pills every day... i also wasn't very smart about it and i was drinking/and other things while on HRT and it caused me to have a schizophrenic episode so i wound up in the hospital for a couple months... i don't regret taking HRT but if you're prone to mental illness I would be very very careful... i'm a lot happier without being on HRT but that's just me

I?ve been looking into it as I want the benefits from it like softer skin and lighter body hair.

Is it possible to achieve this with hrt?

Can someone do HRT without others finding out about it?

Folks, please pay attention to the cautionary real life stories and truly assess weather the real impact that hrt has on your overall health is worth the needful things you desire.
If you are so inclined, seek out good medical assistance and not just a way to get it.
I've waited so long for this time. Makeup is so frustrating. Shaking hands and I look so old. This was a mistake.
My new maid's outfit is cute. Sure fits tight.
And then I step into the bedroom and in the mirror, I see a beautiful woman looking back at me.
    Smile, Honey! You look fabulous!

I have a hormone imbalance that increases my level of estrogen without medication. My boobs have gotten slightly bigger, my skin has gotten softer, and my body hair has all but disappeared. I’m thinking it might be time to start medication. I’ll have to discuss it with my doctor.
What do I do on days when I don't crossdress? I have no idea.

I was surprised by the response!

I am still, despite my age, hovering around the possibility of starting HRT. I am not concerned about possible visible indicators?.honestly, those would be welcome. I remain wary of physiological consequences for a person of my age. That being said, I also believe that adverse side effects are likely to be manageable under appropriate medical supervision!

    Hi Laura,
You say you haven't transitioned, so I presume you still present as male, but, how do you conceal 38d breasts and have you noticed people irl
treating you differently or comment on your breasts?

First, I did HRT on my own for 2 yrs. Then I read about the side effects of it I stopped. Now I'm transitioning I'm on them again under doctor's care. I get blood work every 3 months. See my heart doctor twice a year. Don't do HRT without a doctor helping you. There are problems that can hurt your health or kill you.

It is very hard to conceal I don?t wear anything tight up there usually a darker shirt, I don?t go shirtless in public at all. I am sure people have noticed and just don?t say anything. I have never seen anyone steering at me probably because I don?t care what other think. The only one I care about is my wife and she loves them.
