    New found admiration

It's in the low 30c's in the UK at the moment, unusually warm. Something we Brits aren't accustomed to other than on foreign holidays.

I had some home alone time and dressed in a skirt, wide shouldered tee, bra and forms. It didn't take long before a phrase, a colloquialism we Brits use to denote we're hot, sprang to mind. "I'm sweating my t*ts off here". And in my case it was literal. The back of my forms were covered in sweat and sliding about. And this was after only a short while. Coping all day would have been a nightmare. Plus I was sans wig so how I'd managed if wearing one I hate to think.

And this is were my new found admiration sprang from. There are lots of members here for whom 30c is a cool day yet they somehow dress, forms and all, and don't melt while going about their daily lives.

Is there a trick, a coping mechanism we Brits should know about? A trick of the trade so to speak?

And what's the hottest temperature you've ever experienced while dressing and how did you cope?

Hellen, If I am not glueing my forms on, I put antiperspirant on my chest.

I always carry a collapsible fan in my handbag. It has been a used so many times that the first one made from paper and bamboo fell apart.
I now have fabric ones. Most places that I frequent will have A/C so it is not a huge issue .

Altho I perspire when I dress in silicone suits in very warm weather and/or when I'm doing a very strenuous shoot!

I don't enjoy it but it doesn't stop me from dressing. Because I have a shower and a washing machine!

And, my silicone plates and suits can't slide around even if I'm in the pool!
U can't keep doing the same things over and over and expect to enjoy life to the max. When u try new things, even if they r out of your comfort zone, u may experience new excitement and growth that u never expected.

Challenge yourself and pursue your passions! When your life clock runs out, you'll have few or NO REGRETS!

Definitely a need for air conditioning or fans in warmer weather. My house is so hot in the summer, dressing used to be a nightmare at times. I don’t have air conditioning myself but have a few fans which help with keeping at least one room cool.

What we need is a layer of fabric to absorb sweat and to reduce the amount of sweat generated. The best fabric for the task that I have found is cotton terry cloth. Choose a color close to your breast form color. They make towels from it. If you have seamstress skills, make a pad from a piece of it, stitch up the edges to prevent fraying, and slip it between your chest and the breast form. If I you lack seamstress skills, find a wash cloth, fold it into a triangle, fold is down again until its size covers nearly the same area as the back of the breast form, and slip it between your chest and the breast form. It may slip around a little but not a lot.

Using adhesive behind a breast form to hold it in place can become a sweaty, sticky mess. Glueing breast form to bra, not to chest, holds things in place and is not nearly as messy.

The management of the storage facility where I dress claims to regulate heat and cool in their storage units. Before a recent change in management, temperatures sometimes were as high as 60C, too hot to even enter. The new management keeps things below 30C. Outdoors, the warmest that I have been dressed is 30C. My problem is more often cold temperatures. The old management at my storage unit routinely let temperatures fall to nearly 0C but the new management keeps the low end near 15C. No sweating at those low end temperatures. I warm my breast forms on my thigh for a few seconds, less sensitive to cold, before inserting on my chest. Breast forms warm quickly to near body temperature after insertion even when I use the same terry cloth buffer.

I love that phase you made me laugh. Just the other day I was outside doing some chores with just shorts with silky boxer style panties and t shirt with a sports bra with no forms. I couldn’t believe the sweat just wearing that sports bra produced and the silk panties didn’t help. My wife made a comment about why do I torture myself like that. I could just imagine if I was wearing forms.

Sweating when dressed is something I always struggled with. It is not just the temp, but the humidity that has caused me problems. This morning the humidity is 91 percent. It is the main reason I never wanted to use a breast plate.

Just thought I would mention that the stuff they sell at thebreastformstore called Stay Dry actually works when used behind forms. It is not 100 percent effective but quite good. I guess it acts like an anti perspirant. The only down side is you have to spray a couple of coats on your chest and let it dry first. This is time consuming unfortunately but it does work.

It was 36.6666666666c (98F) yesterday and I went out to the garden center.
Have to wear a tighter bra next time cuz my boobies almost slid out the bottom.
I've waited so long for this time. Makeup is so frustrating. Shaking hands and I look so old. This was a mistake.
My new maid's outfit is cute. Sure fits tight.
And then I step into the bedroom and in the mirror, I see a beautiful woman looking back at me.
    Smile, Honey! You look fabulous!

Having lived in Houston for years, I endured many a day of high temps and high humidity. My main strategies involved light weight/colored garments, staying in the shade and AC whenever possible.

I bought a long sleeve light peach colored crop top made out of terry cloth without having the slightest idea when it would be appropriate to wear! I can wear it outside in the sun, heat, and humidity.
It would be perfect for covering up a wet bikini top at the beach.

The hottest I’ve experienced was in Las Vegas where it was 121 Degrees Fahrenheit, which is about 50 degrees Celsius. How does one handle this? STAY INSIDE. That kind of heat can bring you to your knees in just a couple minutes.
What do I do on days when I don't crossdress? I have no idea.

You should get a T-shirt made with a temperature marker for the position of your boobs.

We went to a meetup at a trans friends house yesterday. It was hot, (high 80s)and I had to sit in the car in the town center for about 15 minutes while my wife did an errand. Then about an hours drive. The A/C in my old car has quit. I was soon thinking, " my outfit(Long wig, boat neck tee and denim skirt) looks cool, but maybe I shouldn't have gone with the high waist padded panty girdle...
