    Jealous

My Wife and Daughter had been out this afternoon and upon returning home I learned that they’d had their nails done in one of the local beauty salons.

The daughter just had a coating of BIAB applied whilst my Wife had a BIAB coating with French Tip. As I admired my Wife’s nails I told her they were really nice and joked that I was jealous. She knows I cross dress but I don’t think she understood just how jealous I really was!

I had never heard of BIAB until today, but according to what I read on Google, a BIAB manicure uses Builder in a Bottle, a gel-like nail polish, which is applied as an overlay on your natural nails. It works very similarly to a normal gel polish, but as it has a thicker consistency and it dries as a strong and durable layer. Therefore you don't have to worry about chipping your brand new nails!

Anyway, jealousy aside, I did treat myself to some goodies for my nails earlier in the day. Whilst out shopping with my daughter, who also knows about my crossdressing, we had a nosey at he makeup section in ASDA and I bought some base coat, top coat and a bottle of Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish in shade 310 Double Decker Red.

The toenails will be getting a treat this coming weekend.

I'm a closet CDer, painted nails and false eyelashes seem to be beyond my scope. I can only fantasize about them. I am very jealous when seeing a woman with beautifully painted nails, both feet and hands. When having a conversation with a woman, e.g a saleswoman in a store I always have problem to refrain from having a delight looking and their fingers from a feminine perspective and a question comes very soon: why not me?
If it makes you happy / It can't be that bad
If it makes you happy / Then why the hell are you so sad?

Many of y'all do things I wouldn't dare. Every now and then the shoe is on the other foot, and I'm the one "doing". Funny when that happens!

I started wearing my nails very long and doing my best at-home manicures and wearing clear polish in high school. When the first stand-alone nail salon opened near me in about 1983, I was there withing a few months and had my first salon mani-pedi (with color) and went sporadically for years after. Starting 20+ years ago I got a mani-pedi every 6 weeks like clockwork, and did that for years. My current girlfriend and I get our nails done together when schedules allow and we're in the mood, though not as often now as we used to. I've worn nail polish in male mode a lot. None of this ever seemed like that big of a deal.

I've had my nails done in dozens of salons, in male and female mode. The nail salon (and other salons, for that matter) has always been kind of a happy place for me. If I was ever even nervous about it, I don't remember it. It has to be one of the easiest, least stressful things we can do that some of us just won't do. It's definitely not that I'm just fearless and have been doing this so long that the fear has just left me. Not at all! Like I said, some of the same people who do things I would NEVER (like fly pretty!) won't, or don't, go get their nails done. At just about any large/busy nail salon I'm often not the only male.

If there's anything I have a lot of experience at, it's this. If you just do it that first time you'll find that you feel unnoticed at worst, included and accepted at best. After you do it that first time, the fear/reluctance/nervousness will be gone and you'll be a regular. It's that easy, and everybody ought to be doing it!

Totally agree. My wife has beautiful nails. Every time she returns from the nail salon, I just smile with envy. I have to add, nails aren?t the only thing for which I have some envy.

Charlotte, just had my nails done with my polite wife by my side. Always a treat to have pampered feet.

After reading Rhonda Jeans comment above I was thinking again "if you don't know it's weird, it doesn't feel weird." A few years ago I remember suddenly realizing that very few guys I see have 4 large earrings and shoulder length hair, and maybe I should feel weird? But I didn't, and still don't. I've even been to Mexico like this, if the natives thought I was odd I didn't notice. I've had earrings for over 2 decades, long hair most of my life since I was a teen, and those things are just normal now.

I imagine it's the same thing for nails, or even skirts (I know a guy who's been wearing kilts all his life, he thinks that's perfectly normal)

I did have a flight instructor ask me if I had problems with my earrings and wearing my headset. I said no, and that was that. Of course the same guy noticed I kicked my shoes off for the flight and mentioned it, I said "of course I do."
    Life is short

I met my friend Michelle because I wanted my nails done for a train trip to Chicago. We hit it off and eight years later we still are going strong.

She's given me a couple of pedicures and my wife is ok with it because otherwise my toenails are often pretty disgusting looking. I've had painted toes at the YMCA and at triathlons and only a few people have noticed.

I am going to Dee-Va Las Vegas in October and Michelle is going to do gel nails for me before I go. I'm not sure how well I will cope with long nails but I am anxiously looking forward to finding out.

    Hi Charlotte,
I can definitely relate, but, also jealous of your situation, must be great that your wife and daughter accept your crossdressing. Whenever I see women in nice outfits I also feel a little jealous that I can't wear that!
