    Living the dream??

I have been reminded by one of the Aussie members that she had not seen anything from me in a number of weeks.
I have actually picked myself up and been out and about with many new friends.
A trans friend introduced me to a nice GG who I get on well with. She and I recently went to the local museum to see an exhibition of the The Terracotta Warriors. This was pretty impressive.
Her company was very easy and I asked her to go to the ballet this Friday. A first for me. I hope I like it.
The weekend before I attended a Stitch lunch at a pub in our vineyard area. There was about 30 guests and we all had great food service. I was lucky enough to sit next to a woman who I immediately connected with. I said to her after about five minutes "we are going to be good friends" We just get each other. We had lunch this Saturday and she invited me to her birthday party on Sunday to meet the family. Apparently Jayne was singing my praises to her 95 year old mother who then wanted to meet me.
The 3 sons were all around the 30's and two of them were gay. I had a really relaxed and fun time with everyone. The only down side was the house was so cold. The A/C was making very little impact.
    I hate being cold.
I did notice all the guys had kept their jackets on. I didn't think to take a coat as we were going to be inside.

A number of the ladies I know have been calling to find out how I am after a brief visit to the ER. I had been exercising at the gym and experienced sever chest pain. I just could not take a full breath. Rather than go home and just suck it up I went to the ER which was only 3 minutes away.
I spent the next 9 hours hooked up to wires and having blood tests. They found nothing conclusive and I still have to go for a CATC scan next week. I can't be that bad or I would have had it sooner.
The only up side of having chest pains is that you get priority over everyone else in the waiting room and there were a lot of people before me.

Tomorrow is a long day for me as I am sitting (or lying down) while I get a tattoo I have been told it will take about six hours.
If it looks as good as the drawing I will post a picture.

Ballet is beautiful and easy to watch so just enjoy.
So, you're getting a permanent picture on your skin that might not be good enough to share?
I've waited so long for this time. Makeup is so frustrating. Shaking hands and I look so old. This was a mistake.
My new maid's outfit is cute. Sure fits tight.
And then I step into the bedroom and in the mirror, I see a beautiful woman looking back at me.
    Smile, Honey! You look fabulous!

    Hi Philippa

It's so heartwarming to hear you upbeat again and bouncing back from your previous disappointment over a relationship which didn't go as you had hoped.

We all deserve happiness and hopefully something may develop with your newfound friends but please take your time none of us want to hear of you getting hurt again.

Sounds like you were just pushing yourself too hard at the gym I use to go alot when I was a macho jerk and was quite buff that's all changed now of course with our new lifestyle, maybe take that easy as well for a while.

Interested to know what the tattoo is and where it's going to be, 6 hours is quite a torture session.

    Take care Philippa

    Hi Carla.
It was always going to be good enough to share. I posted in the pictures section.
I wanted to cover a port wine birthmark and I have achieved this.
Now I shall buy lots of low cut dresses and tee's.

Thank you Amy. I am guarding my heart now and everyone will just be friends.
My psychologist thinks I may have had a panic attack. The best thing of all is I have no more pain.
Well not from my chest, the back is another story.

How's that about the house being so cold with the AC making so little impact? I know you get a lot of things backwards down there ( as opposed to u s a) but up here. Air conditioning makes it colder, so it sounds like it was having a big impact. Do you have a different meaning down there?

    Hi Jennifer.
Most A/C units here are reverse cycle . One reason for being so cold was the doors to the outside areas were open. Some people like it like that. It was a little warmer when the door was closed but people kept coming in and out. I am always on my own at home so the rooms I live in are always about 26 degrees.

79deg F? Yikes! That guy at the end of indiana jones that melts his face off comes to mind.🤣

I guess you're referring to them becoming what we would call a heat pump and you use them to heat the place as well as cool them.

Apologies Genifer for getting the spelling wrong on your name.
And yes in Tasmania they call them heat pumps as well. Here in the west it just reverse cycle A/C.
If it were 36 C in summer the A/C would be set on 22C. How weird is that.
I seem to feel the cold in the house more as I get older.

The ballet was a non starter.
Marianne and I caught the train into a busy outer suburb to eat at a Tapas restaurant.
The venue was really nice with rustic brick walls and the staff were really on top of their game.
My friend was in charge of ordering the food. I tried but I still don't like Calamari. The other dish she ordered was also a disappointment, Mushrooms in a blue cheeses sauce. All of this did not matter as I was having a good time.
We caught an Uber to the ballet and walked through the grounds of the university. There are some spectacular old buildings which I have never seen before.
At the door to the theatre we were told that the performance had been cancelled due to the lead dancer having had an accident.
It was far too early to go home so we caught the train back towards where we live but went to a pub for a couple of hours.
I was about to order an Uber to take her home (I had offered to drive her earlier) but she asked if I could take her. She is very wary of being in a car with a "date". I had earned her trust which was something special for me.

Philippa, Sounds like you still had a good evening, I would have enjoyed both dishes at the restaurant.
Good on seemingly earning her trust, that is wonderful
