Just a little update on my previous post.
I spoke of seeing a surgeon who specialises in breast cancer patients.
I saw him today and he had a completely different view to a plastic surgeon I saw about six weeks ago.
He saw the scar tissue as something he could help me with.
The implant will be removed and replaced while the scar tissue will be removed.
What was music to my ears was that because this will be remedial surgery for a medical problem I will be covered by my insurance and Medicare. I thought that because it was cosmetic surgery originally that there would be no cover for this. There will still be a small gap to pay by me but that I think is acceptable.
I am expecting to be in surgery in November.
