Most of the older people here will remember the Victor Victoria movie where Julie Andrews played a woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman.
That felt like that was my mode today as I went grocery shopping. I had the usual bra and panties but my outer wear was from the men's department. I wore joggers that are pretty much unisex and an oversized button up shirt which reminds me very much of stylish women in men's wear. I wore moderate eyeshadow and mascara a a necklace with a single pearl on a black cord.
I was not overtly feminine and I've seen men's streetwear that was similar, but the vibe definitely felt Victor Victoria. I interacted with the cashier and sacker close enough that they couldn't miss the makeup but it was business as usual and totally comfortable. I had a couple of young women giggling behind me at one point and they seemed embarrassed when I turned around. I don't think that the outline of my bra would show but perhaps... Even that didn't phase me.
My wife had already warned me that my makeup was dark and I just acknowledged what she said and went about my business. One more step...
