Asked wife for help

A few years back my wife took a huge armour from her mother and had me put it in our spare room so I could keep all my fem stuff in one place. I wrote that last week I gathered all my fem stuff that I had scattered around, but it over crowded the armour. Friday night I asked my wife that I need her help, I have to much stuff and I can't find it in me to throw anything out, I need help whenever she has a chance. It seems that it could be I'm part hoarder put I explained a story about my grandmother who for the life of her she couldn't throw out bread. When the bread got hard she would put it in milk and have it for breakfast and when it got really hard she would grade it into bread crumbs. One day she was eating it in hot water with beans and I told her that the war is over she doesn't have to eat like that anymore. She told me when she was young they couldn't afford bread and if they were lucky they would get it twice a year and now that she has as much as she wants of it she just couldn't find it in her heart to throw it out. I told my wife I feel the same way that I could have only dreamed of having an excepting wife and all the stuff I have and now I'm just going to dump it out. She had time yesterday and I believe she had an idea what I had but she didn't believe what I really had. When she counted over 60 pairs of different style pantyhose she asked me if I was planning for some after life situation. When we got to the bras she had me try them on, but there were some that were sentimental, like the first bra she handed down to me that was a DD before her breast reduction and a red bra that was the first bra she actually bought for me. Without another word all my wife said was "it doesn't fit out it goes" and out they went and with almost another half of them that didn't fit but they were so beautiful it was hard to part with them.
With her help and as hard as it was we cleaned out two garbage bags of stuff and the armour was now more usable. My wife made a good suggestion and she asked me to pick two what she called "go to items" the bras or pantyhose and panties the ones that I usually wear that are comfortable and to pick a few small items. She then freed up a drawer in our bedroom so I don't have to always go into the spare room and rummaging in the armour to get everyday things and asked me to keep it neat so someone believes it her stuff. In case I had any withdraws she was going out and took the bags to the donation place before I had a change of heart.
I'm not going to lie it was hard to let that stuff go but I don't understand even the items that didn't fit I still couldn't part with them. But thanks to my wife I'm happy that with the extra room it will be easier to move around the armour when looking for something and I hope I,won't be filing it again.

I have way too much "stuff" that I hang onto. The only way I think I would preen down my stuff or to a purge is, if I got a diagnosis of a terminal illness.

My wife and I go through our clothes once a year and whatever we haven't wore we donate. Great excuse to go shopping.
