Today, I decided to go to do my grocery shopping dressed. It's not the first time, but it has been a while.
I usually visit more than one store because there are some things that we like that are only available in a particular store.
I went to one of the popular German stores and one of the assistants who was refilling shelves said "Good morning, madam" as I walked past.
That is the first time that has ever happened to me. What a boost to my confidence.
I then went to ASDA (one of the big 4 supermarkets in the UK). I often browse their clothing section as there is usually a rack of reduced to clear items. This week was no exception and I found a rail of dresses at half price. I'm always careful to check the tags to make sure they are the right size (never rely on what it says on the hanger). Then I noticed that all these dresses were further reduced to silly prices such as ?1.00, ?1.25, ?1.75. so I managed to get me 5 new dresses for a total of ?6.00.
My wife is at work all day, and my son is going out to meet his friends all afternoon, so guess what I'll be doing, home alone!
