Far be it from me to judge other people's personal tastes. Into public humiliation? OK. Your humiliation is to manifest itself through crossdressing? Your business.

On the other hand, this forum is by and large for and about people learning to claim - and demand - their dignity and self-respect as crossdressers notwithstanding horrible social pressures and taboos that would leave us closeted, ostracized or worse. If you had troubled yourself to do some reading here, you probably would have learned that making a public joke of crossdressing would rub most of the people here the wrong way.

Oh...and if item number 31 on your list was "brag to a bunch of crossdressers about public activities that would make it harder for the rest of them to gain honest acceptance", then well done and you and your mistress should both jump in a lake.

I think the "horrible social pressure and taboos" are largely misconceptions at this point. I have progressed a LONG way in my 20+ years of crossdressing and now have relatively no qualms about this. That is how I am able to do these things.

My motivations are not to make a public joke. Rather, to 1) prove that I can do this, 2) prove that it's often a bigger deal for me than for the "public" 3) challenge my own perceptions about the acceptibility in the world with this. If you had bothered to read my stories, you would see this. As I've said, I've been registered here 2 years and have read here longer than that.

There is a law of diminishing returns with this too, but that's another discussion.

I again understand but the difference between being a sissy and this is the general aspect without definition of being grouped in the crossdress genre is, we each have a degree of responsibility to help the public become more understanding and its not by freaking out the kids and moms at the mall while wearing Britney Spears wannabe outfit dressing in DD bras. One of the things that really annoys me about this thread is that, in my opinion, the OP is not a crossdresser. He's a fetishist who is getting off on being publicly humiliated, the crossdressing is just something that his "mistress" uses to humiliate him.

Your opinion is wrong. I am a crossdresser, been diagnosed so by 4 different therapists throughout the years. I've never been a transvestic fetishist.

Your task is a difficult one Sharon. Keeper of the peace and preserver of standards. Clearly the original post falls into a grey area but one that I don't see as part of this group.

I distinquish between the group and the poster by way of motive. I'm here because I have feminine qualities that I like to fully express and I don't need to be forced to dress. It is the reward from the humiliation that the poster seeks (and is promised?) whereas for me the reward is in the dressing itself and participating in the community.

The grey area though is for those who have similar needs but who can't accept themselves in this way and must feel they are "forced" to dress to feel better about themselves. I could well understand that some in this group would feel this way but hopefully they will benefit from the positive experiences in the group to accept themselves.

I try my hardest when en femme to honour crossdressers by appearance, attitude and honesty. It is disappointing that the reaction to a negative image will far exceed that of a positive image setting our cause back.

Michelle, it seems to me as though you are more transgendered than crossdresser. I have no genuine desire to be a female. I am feminine and I am a male. I prefer to wear and enjoy wearing women's clothes. I am comfortable in the duality of these roles.

This blurring of the gender lines is what many in this TG/TV/TS/CD community struggle with. The TVs question the CDs for not enjoying the sexual aspect of it. The CDs can be repulsed by the thought that TVs "get off" on this. The TS folks dislike it when CDs and TVs want to retain their male gender or body hair or physical appearance. The TVs and TGs can be repulsed by those who try to live and pass as genetic women 24/7.

I'm a CD, not a TG/TV or TS. Seems I'm in the minority here though this is a CD site...hmm...

You've mentioned wives finding out about their CD'ing husbands 2x now.
