    I received my first F

Today when the door bell rang and, even though I was in a mini-skirt, I answered the door. Low and behold there was my mailman. He had an envelope and needed my signature. When I opened it I found my new passport, with my first F!!!!!

Needless to say I am very excited about it.

    Good for you!

It is delightful, breathtaking even to get that official recognition of one's identity.

Let it go to your head!

    Thank you everyone.

And yes I am letting it go to my head.

I am now waiting to see what the state will do on my DL now. They couldn't tell me when I had my name change if the gender would be change. I should be receiving my DL in the next few days also. I guess I can only pray for the best.

You get it in the mail? Here in Florida, you need to go to the DMV and stand in line for several hours (even with an appointment) but you walk out with your new DL.

Did they give you the 10 year full validity passport or the two-year limited validity passport? If you got the latter, it is not difficult to get the former just by the wording of one sentence from your accepted doctor.

They gave the ten year with full validity. In which I am hoping I will use next month.

That's great Kristy. I remember being on cloud nine when I got mine.

It really is such a huge weight off your shoulders when you no longer have to carry a man around in your purse.

Congratulation on this first of many steps to affirming your true gender identity & I hope you relish in freedom.
