As several ladies have said, use the one for the gender you are presenting. Going out as two girls with my wife, I naturally used the ladies restroom. Since I always sit to go anyway, never had a problem there. Now that my iwfe has passed on, I use the men's room even though I frequently am dressed in feminine clothing. But, I am a man in feminine clothing! No wig and no makeup! Never have had a problem!!

If dressed only woman's restroom. But never linger in toilets, not men or women. I check my make up during washing the hands like other women do, then I leave. I never had any problem. For sure, be carefull with children.

Umm - then I've broken the law loads, then... Nobody ever seemed to have a problem with it, indeed I can report the natives were pretty friendly?

    Wink Great self discipline

I had a nice lady in my boat last fall and when I offered hydration she declined and we agreed that it is awkward for ladies in that situation. She sipped a single DP all day and only went when we went in to shore. Great self discipline. She was Army and knew how to deal with that kind of thing.

Charlene, can you tell me where you found this info

If there are no unisex available I definately use the ladies room, and that is anywhere I might be. Restaurants, malls etc. Just do your business, wash hands, check hair or makeup and out you go.

I asked my wife about this. She said when dressed en femme, use the ladies loo. Simple.

I use the womans of coruse. I just don't walk in and then rush out, that can make you look like you have something to feel gulty about. I go in there to ether to go pee (most women won't go number 2 in public stalls) then wash my hands , Oh make sure your pee hits the water not the side , I have found the most of the time it hits the wate, then I touch up my makeup. I don't have problems doing that. And no women Has ever said boo. SO when you use the ladys room don't rush , just respect the other ladys , don't do anything dumb or disrespectfull. Just act like it the most normal thing you do. With kids in there just be lady like and you should be ok. They don't know if your a gg or a cd or a TS , or just a ugly woman.lol . I would rather look like a ulgy woman then look like a man in a dress. LOL. so have fun out dressed and just use your common sence in the Ladys room. Oh don't ever use the mens room , you just might find out what a tenderized stake feels like, or worse. SO be safe out there ladys. HUGGS

Lorileah, your information is inaccurate. Please click this link for a discussion of the restroom laws in Las Vegas and Nevada in general. This link also has several thoughts and suggestions for having a successful experience anywhere. As for you conclusion that it is frowned upon to enter a casino dressed, I have no idea where that thought would come from. I have been in literally every major hotel casion in the city and have never had a single negative experience. In fact, several casions have issued players cards to me in my femme name.

I would never even contemplate going to the men's room dressed en femme! I always use the ladies restroom but I never hang around in there any longer than is absolutely necessary. I do what I went in there to do, wash my hands and leave. Applying makeup, brushing my hair etc .... no, not in a public restroom I don't ... unless I'm with my wife then I seem to have more confidence.

The two sex bathrooms are very arbitrary in my view. Like anything in life, if you behave yourself and are kind, there should be no problems using the women's bathroom.

Yep. What she said. Think about it for too long and the logic suggests you don't use either. And nor should most other people!

    I use the men's bathroom.

There's nothing sweeter than doing my business in the urinal in heels and a short skirt. It really freaks out guys entering the bathroom. lol

Obviously, I'm joking. I've never been out as Gabrielle, and when the time comes, I would never do anything like that. Not unless it was a place filled with cders and would not be a problem.

This is one question I won't face for some time. If I went out today and had to go, I'd probably just try to hold it or have my wife accompany me to the ladies room and hope for the best. I believe that can get you arrested around here (being a male, regardless of attire, and going in to the women's room).

I just heard about this resource http://www.safe2pee.org/beta/ for finding safe bathrooms!

It doesn't cover Australia yet though, but maybe others will find it useful.

    Unisex/family toilets first

Then, use womens toilets. At least in the women's we are dressed for the occasion. I don't expect the men would be too happy at all for us to be in theirs, no matter if we sat down, stood up, or what. Personally, I am very calculating when going to the restroom, trying to time it just right, if possible. When i was out at the theater one night, I waited a few moments extra after intermission, then went. So sweet, no one in there!!!!

Ok girls, here is the worst case scenario. Ok - maybe not the worst case scenario, but plenty squirrelly.

Many many years ago I was on vacation with my family in Atlanta Georgia, and we found ourselves in a mall. I'm not sure why any more. Anyway, I was alone (in teenage boy clothes), and I needed to pee. I went to the restroom. The public restrooms were one of these affairs that are down a long hallway that then branches out, men’s on the left, lady’s on the right.

Well I was being absent minded, and walked down the hallway and into the ladies room. The place was empty, and I was looking for a urinal, so when I just saw stalls I walked to the other end of the stalls to find the urinal (still thinking I was in the men’s room). When I didn't find a urinal, the light went on. Unfortunately for me, the instant the light went on, the door to the ladies room opened again. In an attempt to hide, I ducked into the closest stall and sat, figuring any lady walking past would at least see my sneakers pointing the right way. The woman who came in took a stall one away from the one I was in. Then another woman came in. She took the stall next to mine. (it was a 3 stall affair) The first one left, and a pair came in. The first obviously took the available stall - the second patrolled the front of the stalls, and then started peering in at me through the gap in the door! As unfathomably rude as it was, (imagine if I had been a girl doing her business) she made eye contact with me, looked me over, then bolted for the door without saying anything. Well, I knew the gig was up, and thankfully the place cleared out, and shortly thereafter, so did I.

When I got back out among the general population and my heartbeat started to return to normal, I spotted the woman I had seen peering at me in the stall door who was talking with a rent-a-cop who was radioing (I assume for backup). But while I recognized her, she did not recognize me.

Then of course - I still had to pee.

Here is the moral of the story:

When you are out dressed, you are much less likely to be made by an angry woman than a teen-aged boy is... and even if you are made, chances are fair she won't be able to recognize you from the glimpse she got through the crack in the door, and failing that - there is plenty of get-away time. Though admittedly, get-a-way time is low on the list of things I want to be in need of.

I just had this hilarious image of going out dressed and going into the women's room when GGs are in there too. You pass without incident, do your thing in the stall and come out to wash your hands, notice the cute lady next to you and boom out "Hiya sweet thing, I'm Ralph. Want to come over to my place and look at my pantyhose collection?"

I have always used the ladies room when presenting femme. Never had an issue with it, either. I usually look for a restroom that's not very busy. As everyone else has mentioned, don't do things to bring attention to yourself. I'll do what I need to, then leave.

I have never used a family rest room, but it's an option if you are nervous. Or go someplace that as single-stall bathrooms where you have to lock the exterior door. Starbucks for instance have rest rooms like this.

    ladies room

I always use the ladies room, even though I am over 6 ft. I try to make sure it is relatively unoccupied and sit down when I am in there. Quick hand wash and out.

Good topic. I try to use the universal restrooms. The ones for handycapped & has the baby changing station. I look at it this way. If I go to the ladies room & get caught...I would get arrested. If I use the mens room I could get in trouble for trying to pick up guys or whatever they would dream up that I was trying to do. So I look for the uni rr or just go outside somewhere.

A side note here...when I am at the clubs,I always use the ladies rr. I make sure it's okay with the bar staff first. Never had an issue yet. It's odd because most of the women at the alternative bars are straight women. Most smile & say hi or we exchange small talk.
