    Showing off on webcam

So I've been out a couple of times and it was great, but there's something else I do that I'm not sure some of you girls do as well and I want to know what you think about it.

Being in the closet allows me to dress only when I travel, which is often because my work requires me to do so. When I'm on business trips I take all my stuff with me and get dressed as much as possible and when I do this, I love plugging in my webcam and broadcast live so online friends (or strangers) can see me. I often go to this chat site and "advertise" what I'm doing so I usually end up putting on a show for a few guys (and also girls - GGs and CDs).

Most of the times I do close-ups so viewers can see my make-up, walk in the room (catwalk style), change outfits (if possible) according to viewers' requests, dance and do a nice striptease and end up feeling very well about it. Often I take pictures in the process and I take opinion of my viewers and grant wishes of poses or places where I take the pics.

As I said before, this I do for friends and strangers because it makes me feel sexy, builds up my confidence and is the way I have to "get out" safely since several occasions I don't know how dangerous it could be out there (in the real life).

Do you think this is weird? (considering "weird" something different from what we usually do/talk in here)
Do you think I should keep doing this?
Anyone thinks this could be dangerous for some reason?
Do you think I could turn this activity into a business??? (hey, I could charge for putting on a show! - not sure if that's possible)
Someone does this or something similar?

If anyone is interested in catching the next show, I'll most probably do one tomorrow night (Friday August 8th) since I'm on the road.
(I use yahoo messenger and you can find my id in my profile)
I'll be ready when I'm ready

Is it any more weird than posting still photos on this website? Many of us do that. (I'm sure I will too, as soon as I get a camera and stuff.) Sounds like innocent fun with modern digital media to me!

I'm concerned about that striptease at the end, though. You could possibly run afoul of the laws relating to online pornography. If I were you, I would trot off to a lawyer and discuss exactly where you need to hold the fans while doing a fan-dance, if you see what I mean.

On-line porn? Never thought about that. Should I put a disclaimer or what? Now that I think of it, it's not actually porn because only a couple of times I've shown something that could be considered suitable for a 18+ audience. I'll try to find something out there that helps me decide whether it's risky or not. Thanks for your input.

Well, I agree that when you go out regularly, things change a lot but for us that can't go that way yet, this is the closest experience we can find AND this way I feel I have everything under control, reducing the stress of being out there so I really enjoy how it works, at least for me, for the moment

I would never cam with anyone I hadn't met face to face and trusted completely. I'm not an ultra tech head, but I know this much:

    1) Anything someone can receive via computer can be recorded.

    2) Anyone with enough time and willpower can pinpoint your location exactly. Ever visited a site that offered "single people in your area" and then there's a picture of some "single" in a tiny town next to you?

Weird? No. Anyone that says they are normal is weird to me. Normal to what?

Yes, you're right about that, but what for? Unless that person already knows me, it's useful I think. And if that person knows me, then I'm already in trouble (or have an admirer!)

The advantage for me is I do this while traveling, so my location is never the same and it's nowhere near home, so this is perfect since that person would locate a place that has nothing to do with me.

I don't mind posting still photos of myself on the net, even in some slightly naughty poses, but they're all fully clothed and 99% fairly vanilla. Just me in a dress. Nothing the store clerks downtown, random shoppers, some people on the sidewalk, and my girl haven't seen a bunch of times. The way I look at it is once I put something on the net it's out there forever, and I don't want to wind up on Attack of the Show as an "epic fail" after my peep-show winds up on YouTube.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to do it, I think it would be great fun and pretty sexy with the right person, but it's beyond my comfort level. As long as you stick within your own comfort boundaries I think it's all roses.

I have thought about this issue at length. And, I hate to say this, and please don't think this is a personal attack or anything (it is most certainly not) but is it a form of self-flattery to think that someone would invest the time and energy to find you?

I mean, unless you are involved with some pretty serious criminal activities, are the target of media-thirsty papparazi, or have some truly terrible enemies, who the heck would go through that trouble?

yes there is a hard core of cammers that use the transgendered rooms on yahoo. what a bunch of self obsessed attention seeking prima donnas. The one thing they have in common is that they have no saving graces whatsoever. I really dont mind people having fun with it, but they turn what is intended to be a transgendered chat room into some dirty peep show, dragging the cyber seekers in with them.
sorry to the original poster, but you know its true...besides, youve only used this thread to promote your show havnt you.

There are enough nut case stalkers out there that you do have to be a little careful, in person or on-line. They are not rational and can be quite determined. Granted, they are rare, but still be careful!

There are those who go on dating and regular sites with the intention of trying to trick someone into meeting up only to commit a hate crime. Some will simply attempt to track you down in an effort to "teach you a lesson". The odds? Not that high but yes, it could and does happen.

You girls have no idea how right you are. I've known extreme case of stalking (think "Sleeping with the Enemy" type stuff) and doing something as "minor" as tracking down your location at any given point is just a small portion of the extremes they will go through.

People get obsessed over little things. Someone you may not know at all, who's never messaged you, might have a copy of every webcam broadcast you've ever done. Might have a map that marks out the locations you've sent them from. Might have even visited them in an effort to get "closer" to you. Think its flattering? Wait until that person decides you are either with them or no one.

Again, the odds? Not extremely high. Just know they also aren't impossible.

Besides... how do you know you aren't webcamming some little kid?!

No offense taken. Here's an example: A GG friend of mine on another site put a program on her page that would list the locations of people who visited her site. A very simple program she found for fun. Some people were a little unnerved that it was that easy. The software that a few nuts use now may be simple tools tomorrow.

One time at a club, even after I had told a guy I was taken, he tried to follow me home. It definitely raised my paranoia meter. Sometimes saying no can turn a stranger into an enemy.

I have friends who cam and let me see them, I have no problem with it. Hell, if I could make decent money doing it on my own terms, I would.

Disregarding the safety issues, the number of people who "hang up" on me because I don't chat with a cam tells me I wouldn't have wanted to anyways.

I don't remember saying I used the transgendered rooms on yahoo... that's because I don't.

Since I don't use the yahoo transgendered chat rooms, you can't blame me for dragging the cyber seekers in, and believe me, that kind of people don't need to follow anyone, they can find those chatrooms on their own.

These are all good points, I wonder if anyone would actually try to find your location? I guess just the crazies.

Gina ever think you might find yourself on YOU TUBE or someplace like that, put there by someone other than yourself.
once you put it online, you no longer have control, if it matters to you.
