It's coming up, what I have even called myself "The Crossdressers High Holy Day"and I know there'll be a freakin ton of posts and threads on it. So I'm taking the initiative to help reduce the number of redundant threads on Halloween related issues.

If you want to post something Halloween related, do it in this thread. Questions, costume ideas, anecdotes of the past Halloween outings, cute costumes you've seen, whatever. Let's see if we can keep it all in one thread.

I actually don't encourage people to do Halloween en femme, though I'm not opposed to it either. I think it's something that needs to be thought about seriously, because "experimentation changes you". It did me. I did an en femme Halloween in 2001, haven't done it since, in part because it feels like I'm being dishonest in a way.

"Ha ha, I'm transgendered/TS who hasn't started transitioning, and you can't say anything because it's Halloween!"

Here's the anecdote from 2001.

Hi everyone, this is the adventure I had today. The day before Halloween I told my best male friend and his wife that I am a CD and guess what: it doesn't matter to them, I'm still their friend, and I'm still their kids "uncle" I did tell them that they might not want to bring the kids over because I might be dressed up, but they said it wouldn't matter to them.

And yes, I did go out. Got off work at 9:00 AM (yes I have kooky hours, sometimes. Headed to Walmart to pick up a few things, headed to K-Mart to pick up some concealer and a foam axe (I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK) Went home, was going to try to balance my checkbook, couldn't find my checkbook. Took a half hour to find it, and write a couple of checks.

Got bathroom ready, hopped in shower used my Victoria's Secret Heavenly body wash. Did the leg/arms/pits/etc.shaving thing (which is an every day thing for me). Toweled off, detangled my hair, used root volumizer, all over volumizer spray, and mousse. Blew it dry, doing the upside down thing to give it more lift.

Did the face shaving, with an electric razor, then went over it again with a Mach 3 (the preferred choice of crossdressers)

I went to my bedroom, moisturized with my Victoria's Secret Luxe creme, put on the various control garments, and hosiery, etc. Put on makeup, including subtle feathery fake lashes.

The outfit I was going to wear, my black and white skirted suit, was out because the jacket had lost a button and I don't know how to sew them back on. (That's on my list of things to learn.) So I went with my second choice, a berry colored cowl neck sweater, black knee lenght skirt and black pointy toed, knee high high heeled boots. Sort of a fall "Mode Girl" look.

Got my purse ready, putting ID, debit card, keys, lip gloss, mirror, brush, cell phone etc into it. Figured out I need a larger purse. Put on One Step press on nails, liked the way they looked but were too much hassle in trying to zip up boots and they were supposed to be a shorter length (they weren't). So I took them off.

I got in the car, and pulled out of the driveway. Discovered that it's difficult to use the pedals in 3.5 inch heels.

Headed to Fashion Bug, got out of the car and wind blew my hair around, fortunately the styling products kept my basic style going. I discovered the difficulty of walking in high heels for longer distances than I'm used to.

Walked into the Bug, holding my head high. Headed straight towards the plus size section. realizing that I need to get me some femme glasses or contacts (I took off my male glasses and put them in my purse). Looked around as best I could in my half blind state. I had looked around a bit a couple of days before so I knew what I was interested in. It took longer to look because I took my time and savored the experience. I also remembered to walk slower and take smaller steps. The sales clerks came around and asked if I needed help, I said, "No thank you." in the softest voice I could do in a minutes notice. There were other shoppers around too.

So I found a couple of sweaters I liked and took them to the counter. The clerk asked if I needed to try them on and I said yes. She led me to the regular dressing rooms. (I've tried on stuff in my normal male clothing there before, but I'm led to a unused bathroom in the back.) So I tried on the sweaters, first putting on my glasses. I only liked one of the sweaters so I put my own sweater back on and as I did I looked in the mirror as I was putting my glasses back in the case. I realized that I had done a pretty good job on my makeup and that I looked nice. I'm not saying I was totally gorgeous or anything, I could see a bit of blue undertone where I had shaved. But I realized that I didn' look half bad. So I took the sweater back out to the clerk and purchased it. I tried to keep my head up and look the clerks in the eyes which is difficult when you can't see.

I left the Bug and my feet were a bit uncomfortable in the boots as it was warmer than usual on this day it hit 70 F. Plus I was getting a bit unsteady in my high heeled boots so I took them off and put a pair of mid heeled pumps on. (I was smart enough to bring them.)

My mother is disabled and works at a sheltered workshop. I am her primary care giver for the most part and I usually pick her up from work. I felt so upbeat that I drove to her workplace. When I got there I started thinking that maybe I shouldn't do it. My sister also works there as a part of the staff. I had warned my Mother that I might show up en femm, and I thought I had warned my sister, but apparently I wasn't clear enough. I made a bad decision and went in.

I'm familiar with the workplace and a familiar sight normally. I needed to use a restroom so I used one of their single occupancy ones. (they have locks on them) I came out of the bathroom and saw my Mother in the entry way. She was a bit surprised, but not angry. We were getting ready to leave when one of the staff saw me.

"Oh my god I can't believe it, look at you." etc. Then the front office staff saw me. Oh my god, it's ...etc. I got lots of questions, "who did your makeup, did you borrow your sisters stuff, Is that a wig, turn around.)

I answered truthfully, but then my sister came up and she was obviously angry (as she later told me), and I had to get store to get groceries, and home to prepare for trick or treaters, so I left.

She later told me she was uncomfortable answering the questions asked of her, and it made her angry. I apolgized to her, I realized I shouldn't have showed up like that, at least without discussing it with her more fully. She did tell me that one of her best friends there didn't recognize me until I was pointed out to her. Her friend said that she was wondering who that woman was at the front counter. One of the front counter ladies said she didn't recognize me and wondered who I was until she heard me talking to the woman in the entryway. One other person said I had better legs than her.

Eventually I made it to the grocery store. I was a bit nervous there, the lighing is good and there's lots of people, but nothing happened. I noticed a few things, like how one woman was walking slowly and gracefully so I tried to walk similarly while I pushed my cart. I remembered how to bend down properly in a skirt while picking up items on the bottom shelf.

I also did the whole "woman searching through a crowded purse for money" thing. And I got maamed as the checker handed me back my discount saver card.

Finally got home, and noticed my hosiery had a run in them, and I just taken them out of the package that morning. I was just getting ready to put on a different pair when my best friend shows up with kids. So I came out greeted him and the kids. They were nonplussed, (I had told my friend and wife, as I said earlier). His daughter said, "Uncle ..., you look like a girl." I said "Yes I do." She then hugged me.

After they left I put on my drab, my feet were throbbing a bit, I ate (Ramen and a sandwich) and watched TV for a bit.

Nope, no pics. I had my camera but I was too chicken to ask anyone to take them.

I'm glad I did it, well except for making my sister angry. But I probably won't be doing it again in my home town, because even though I've said sometimes "I'm all dressed up and nowhere to go", I went out and guess what? There was STILL no fun places to go. My hometown is tiny, so next time I go out I'm heading to college town, they have a human rights ordinance and everything, even upscale department stores, and outlets.

My sister and I did talk some things through and we both understood each others feelings better. I apologized to her for putting her on the spot. She even offered to help take photos, next time she gets some time off. She also mentioned how I didn't look like someone who had just dressed as a lark, my makeup was too good and that my clothes didn't look like the second hand stuff a regulary guy would use dressing up. She said she was proud of me for looking presentable and not like some Monty Python type parody. She said I carried myself differently than a person just crossdressing for fun on Halloween.

She's right too. I'm rather shy and tend to look down. I find it hard to look at people. But when I was out, I held my head up straight and I don't usually do that.

What a fun tale Veronica!!! I'm sure it's nice to be able to revisit the experience so many years later. Your fashionista tendencies were even showing way back then ;)

As for me and Halloween, I have little interest from a TG perspective. This isn't intended to be a dig on Halloween and what it means to many in the TG community, especially those looking to get out for the first time. I've been there/done that three years in a row back in my college days and those experiences were priceless. But nowadays, Halloween doesn't carry an allure for me. If I were to go "conventional" (ie - guy simply dressed like a girl), I'd be a little too polished not to out myself. If I ever do a Halloween outing someday, it'd be in a costume that any other woman might choose. Pirate girl comes to mind!!!

Many moons ago I was trying to do an Elvira and instead I ended up with this look:

http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm4/TracySchapes/Holloween19882.jpg

This was in 1988! It looks more like a witch and/or sorceress? Nowadays you can get the real thing: wig, dress and all and I'm thinking of doing it again. Only the right way!

What do you guys think? Or has Elvira been done to death?

Snow White this year! My wife's idea because she wanted in on the fun that me a a friend have been having the last few Halloweens. She gets to be the evil Queen/stepmother. I can't wait. I even have plans of slapping a couple of big wet ones on her at our party. Just to shock and dismay some friends (and maybe surprise some others who won't realize that I'm male). My wife is sewing the costumes and is putting enough work into them that she even wants to wear them more than once, so she is suggesting that we not only go to our party which is a week before Halloween, but go out somewhere on Halloween itself. I'm a bit nervous about the bar scene dressed as a Disney Princess, but I'm sure we can find something to do. This would be my first time in a large public setting (other than friends) dressed en-femme, so I'm stoked.

I dress publicly a lot, but Halloween is different. I don't really do a costume, unless a really short skirt and a low cut blouse is a costume. I almost never wear miniskirts. Halloween is the chance to dress a little (a lot!) sexier than I usually do.

If it weren't for Halloween, judging by the reaction I get during my usual cding forays, I'd think I pass about 80% of the time. On Halloween, I find out it's nearly zero! On Halloween, people aren't shy about noticing/commenting on your "costume". It's a GREAT time to get useful advice about how to refine your look, even thogh the people advising you don't realize that's what they're doing.

Example... Last year I was going through the checkout at Wal-Mart. The clerk said, "I knew right away you weren't a woman." I asked her how she knew, and she said, "The leopard print bra". I said, "How'd that give me away? It's obviously made for a woman!" She said," but not with that top."

I'm sure there were many other cues, but she zeroed in on the leopard print bra. I wore that bra because it is the best "cleavage" bra I have. I didn't even realize it was visible through my blouse, although the blouse was rather sheer. I'd checked, and didn't see it in the mirror. It wasn't that the top of it was visible, either. Even though I was showing major (for me) cleavage, that part of the bra is black lace. I'd worn that same top and bra out shopping and to get my hair and nails done the week before and never got a comment, except, "Rhonda, I wee those boobies! They're growing!"

Every year I ask several people who've obviously read me, how they knew. The answers are sometimes surprising.

If you're sensitive about passing, Halloween is not the time to get your confidence boosted. It's the one really honest day of the year. People will not be shy about letting you know you've been read!

I enjoy Halloween very much! This will be my 3rd year going out as Sally on Halloween. Some CD's don't like to go out on Halloween because they don't think of dressing as "a costume". With me, I get dressed as Sally, then put on a fun costume (Sally isn't the costume, get the difference?)

I did a Star Trek yoeman first, then a Playboy Bunny, now I'm going to try for a superheroine Batgirl. Let's hope I can pull it off.

A very dear friend of mine (GG) asked me if I would be Cinderella this year. She and her friend dyed my hair for me awhile ago, they don't know I cd. They are going as the ugly stepsisters. She asked in a way that made me think about doing it. We joked about it for a little while, then I said "If you can find me a white prom dress with sequins, sure I'll do it!" Well the subject changed and now I don't know what I should do. Do I go along with her and just wear " my costume" or do I wear my dress? Also do I tell her I cd? In any case, I'm excited :yippee:.

Hey Latin, how long did it take you to make that costume?

It only took an hour and a half. Most of the time was getting the blood paint all over the place. Makeup and everything else only took around 40 minutes. I was told during the night, that if I went to a couple of clubs that had custome contest, that I would've won.

Halloween has always been a troubling day for me in the past. I always saw it as an oppurtunity to buy a sexy costume without raising many eyebrows. I've seen plenty of guys out and about over the years, most of whom I do not beleive were real CDs. Of course, that was before I came here and thus I always chickened out and felt miserable.

Now that I've bought a complete outfit with shoes and makeup at a local Walmart in broad daylight (thanks to the encouragement this place brings) without incident, this year should be different. I might even walk into a real clothing store and tell the sales people about the "costume" I want to put together. :heehee:

I'm not about to go to a party or anything though, I don't have many friends that I beleive would let it go without question.

Random Halloween musings --

1. TSchapes' Elvira look reminded me of this: Many years back I tried an Elvira-ish look, but on me it was more "Divira" (Elvira's clothes, Divine's body). I decided to start the day early, venturing to my usual diner for breakfast at about 7:30. When I walked in, my waitress (an adorable young woman, who's been serving me 6 mornings a week for several years) was standing near the door. I walked up to her and waited a moment to see if she'd recognize me. Interestingly, she didn't! :) So, in my normal male voice, I just said "trick or treat". Let's just say it was a good thing she hadn't been holding a load of plates -- they would've hit the floor as quickly as her jaw did!
Even odder than that -- I'd decided tot ake the bus to the diner. While I stood as the bus stop, a car pulled up. The passenger window rolled down. A man I'd never seen before (or since) leaned out, looked at me, and said "Sarah?" I told him I wasn't and immediately started to feel bad for Sarah, whoever she was.

2. The photo next to my postings was taken at a local karaoke bar. I think the woman who took it (whom I had never met before) may have just bought a new camera, because she was photographing everyone and everything. Three weeks later, I went to the bar (in men's clothes) and saw her there -- the photos had been developed, and she had them scattered on one of the tables so people could see. I asked her "May I see the one you took of me?" She stepped back, looked at me, and said, "I don't remember taking your picture. Were you here that night?" I reminded her about the blonde on the pool table. She found the picture, looked back and forth a few times between it and me, and finally said, "Get the f*** outta here!" in complete disbelief.

3. This Halloween may be slightly disappointing. Some places in my neighborhood have parties on Halloween proper; others, on the nearest Saturday night. But this year Halloween is a Saturday, so I may have only one night to party. Oh, well.

I went to a party thrown by a co-worker about 7 years ago. While this pic was a different outing, it is the same outfit and hair and so is very close to what I would have looked like that night. The only difference being that my wife would have done my makeup back then and I would have looked a bit better:
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/207/495446457_abfacf5103.jpg

It turned out to be a hugely popular event and there was easily a hundred people there. My wife and I were talking to the hostess, and had been talking to her for about half an hour, when she gets a shocked look on her face and totally interrupts.
"Oh my God! Your a man??!!" she said with this stunned look on her face. My wife and I both just busted out laughing.
"I sure hope so!" I told her "You know since my wife and I have been married for 15 years and have a son and all!"
I swear I'm not kidding, she grabbed my hand and started walking me from room to room, group to group.
"Do you see this beautiful woman? It's a guy!" and off we would trot to the next group.

The thing is, every one at work treated me different after that. Not better, not worse, just different. All in all, I kind of wish I hadn't done it.

Precisely the reason I doubit I'd ever do a feminine Halloween costume with people who know me in my everyday existence, especially given the markers of my being transgendered which people are aware of but haven't likely made the connection yet. Were I to do Halloween, 2 + 2 starts to look a whole lot like 4.

The thing is, every one at work treated me different after that. Not better, not worse, just different. All in all, I kind of wish I hadn't done it.

Kim's story reminded me of a Halloween Party at work where I dressed quite a while back. Her assessment that she was treated differently rang true with me. Here is my story copied from another recent thread with a pic from that party....

About 18 years ago, I got daring and dressed for a company Halloween party.
Later in the evening in front of several other employees, a female co-worker walked up to me and almost hissed: "You make a better looking woman than you do a man!"
turned on her heel, and walked away. No one said anything, but everyone looked at me. All I could manage was: "Bet you say that to all the boys!"
Never was quite sure why she reacted the way she did, but it was weird because of the mixed feelings I had about it- part of me was flattered.... of course, I couldn't admit that, because everyone thought it was just a costume.
Several months later a male friend of my boss "Bill" was visiting our offices. He noticed a picture someone had taken at that Halloween party of me sitting on Bill's lap that I had tacked to my bulletin board. "Who's SHE?" He asked. Bill pointed at me and said, "You're looking at her!" The guy got red and sputtered out a "nice to meet you" and he and Bill left.
Of course Bill told everyone in the office about it, and it was all I heard about for months afterward. Again, very weird because of the mixed emotions it generated.
Have often wondered if anyone had suspicions about me afterward....

Just found another old photo, which brought back interesting memories. This was a year or 2 BEFORE the Office party. 2 TG friends and I went to a Restaurant/Bar on Halloween night where they were having a costume party. This would not on any other night have necessarily been a T-friendly place. But that night was AMAZING!
The 3 of us had people buying us drinks- coming up to us (particularly GG's) asking questions such as "What are you wearing under that?" And "Can I touch your boobs?" And each of us was asked if we'd like to dance by several great-looking GG's. I will never forget that evening!

You can go out dressed any night, but Halloween is the night to relive your youth and go out dressed in a costume and get away with it.
Get yourself a red outfit and go to Vegas on the 24th for the Glamour Boutique Halloween Party. You can get a makeover at the store. Then go to SF on Halloween.
I'll be traveling to Vegas again this year - was Mae West last year. Past costumes have been as a vampire nurse, Cleopatra, 50's poodle skirt, Buxom beauty queen, and Minnie Mouse. Still thinking about this year's outfit for home.

You should go out anyway. There must be something fun to do.

On the plus side, anyone who is normally too shy to go out shopping for fem clothes can totally get away with it around Halloween, so go for it!
:bs:

One year I noticed that my long salt 'n' pepper hair looked suspiciously similar to a witch wig -- oh, cool. I've got a built-in costume. Last year I wore a Halloween t-shirt with a skeleton ribcage on it... I was a skinny chick! :roflmao:

I was going to go in the women's starfleet uniform from the new Star Trek, but the costumes I'm finding online are close but not quite the same as the one gals like Uhura were wearing in the new movie. I found here a picture of the actual dress from the movie, compared to the costume being sold. I'm no where near talented enough to make the dress myself btw, which is why I was just planning on buying the costume.

I like the one above from the actual movie because it kind of flares out a little bit and is cute, but the halloween costume version is just designed to be sexy so it's a form fitting mini dress instead of the slightly flared one. Given the choice between the two, I actually prefer the classic one.

But sadly both dresses seem to only go up to a women's medium which is too small for me. Curse my upper body!

EDIT: After posting this entry, I saw a commercial for target where there was a dress that I think *could* be good for my starfleet costume. I went to their website and found these two dresses and I think either of them when paired with the right turtle neck and a starfleet pin could have some potential. What do you ladies think?

Halloween 08 was my first time dressing in forever and got me back into dressing. I went to my workplace and no one recognized me. However, Kimberly is right, they have since treated me just a lil different. Oh well.

This year, I'm going out twice. Oct 30 I'm going out as Sophie. Just me being me. I'll proably wear something new. :D

The next night I'm going to the huge Henri party in Philly. I'm spending $300 on a custom superheroine costume: Mary Marvel. I always loved her look. :battingeyelashes:

In any case there will be lots of pics of both outfits on my flickr site.

So long as you get the right color, Alyssa. Should be fine.

I'm going as Blind Mag from Repo! The Genetic Opera. I can't wait, it's gonna be a fun costume. I get to practice a bit of my special effects (I haven't been able to practice it like I thought I would :( ). The dress I'm gonna have to wear is very low cut, so I gotta make me a set of latex breasts. Word to the wise,if you're doing the same thing, I hope you kept the box your forms came in. That plastic mold that holds the form? Perfect as a latex mold as well. Granted, latex is a lot harder to color. You have to use a make-up made for latex to get the color right. Hopefully I can pull it off :). Once I start making stuff, I'll post how-to's on here (no promises though, but I'll try).

Last year (Halloween 2008) was the first time I went to a club dressed. Really the first time I had been in public fully dressed. I had went to a private costume party before but thats it. I was Sandy from Grease. There were people that said I looked good. I was glad to as my costumes are always on a tight budget. I wish I could go all out and spend lots of money but unfortuantley that wont happen anytime soon. I didnt win anything that night but it was lots of fun. If I can I plan on going out again this Halloween.

I cannot wait for Halloween!!! It's always been my favorite holiday, but now even more so ;)

As many of you may know I haven't been out much as Samantha. I've taken a couple of solo drives late at night and that drive through NYC with my girl (I got outta the car for a second!) So I haven't really gone out as Samantha, walkin around, dealin with people, etc.

Well this Halloween we are NOT FXXXen around! I'm going full Samantha, with big hair, red fishnets, black knee boots and a new outfit that should be arriving from Hot Topic any day now! Not really dressing up as anything except a sexy girl! :battingeyelashes: I have never been so excited for Halloween EVER! :D

Plus my friend is coming to visit us in our new home and he's always wanted to take photos of me dressed as Samantha, sooo bonus!!! :cheer:

BTW all you girl's Halloween outfits have been just fabulous! Joanne!! WOW! Just awesome outfits, you know what you're doin' girl!

EDIT!: TSchapes! Great idea aaaand beehive wig!!! Ooooooohhh fun! Wish I had a beehive wig! :p

Twenty years ago, I went to the Halloween dance of a local singles group as Queen Kong - rubber gorilla head/hands over a knee length red & black knit dress, offblack pantihose and black pumps. After costume judging, I retired to the men's room to fix my hair and makeup and had a humorous encounter with a gent who thought he had entered the lady's room. The rest of the evening, I was a man in a nice dress and danced with the ladies as usual. One woman danced with me several times. We both enjoyed exploring options to position our breasts for optimum closeness when slow dancing.

I plan to go back (without gorilla accessories) this year.

my girlfriend and I have been invited to a halloween party which seems to be known for its great costumes. we looked on line, but couldn't find any really creative costumes, then my girlfriend actually suggested that we go as hannah montana (her) and miley cyrus (me) even though she has no idea i love dressing in womens clothes. should i go all out and shave legs, etc? any other thoughts on what i should wear or do for my appearance? would there be any better crossdressing costumes i could wear?

Halloween is like Christmas and Birthday Party and Special Wish Granted Day for tgirls who are still kind of in the closet, all rolled up into one.

Go for it, girl. And heck yeah, I would go the whole nine yards and shave and all that, if I were you. You want to do a good job, don't you? And not be a caricature, right? Just a guy in a dress? You know you don't want to be that guy.<g>

If your gf asks why you shaved, just say you wanted to do it right but you're going to let it grow back right away. (Unless you like it sooo much you just can't.) Or, as the other girls suggested, you can tell her the truth and see how it goes. Only you can be the judge of that and how understanding and accepting you feel she is. Even if you choose not to come out then, you can always use it down the road. "Umm, hon, remember last Halloween when we dressed up and I shaved my legs? Well...I have something to tell you...."

Have fun. Take pix.

Hugs...Joni Mari

Go for it, maybe you can turn every day into Halloween. :battingeyelashes: Just kidding, well sought of, but as previously suggested, this might be a wonderful opportunity to let her know of your desire to dress up. These opportunities don't come along very often and it would be a terrible sham to loose it.

Went out twice in San Francisco, first time publically too, with two girls, two gay guys (who had gotten us into this) and two straight guys. Both the girls were dressed as men, and one each of the straights and gays, plus myself. Well! I went the full lingerie route -- bra, snappy flowered panties, garter belt and sweet sheer nylons. Heck, it feels great at home, so let's dare to go out in it! I had had the foresight to get two of each piece, so when the time came for us to dress (in one of the girls' large apartment) I offered the set. Who passed on it? The gay guy. Who took me up on it? Well...

So there we all were, out on the town... me feeling fabulously great and sexy, the girls talking in deep voices (which broke us up)... both gay guys a little uncomfortable I think... and me and Jimmy flouncing along together! I never had THE CONVERSATION with him about whether this may not have been his first time en femme, but as we walked along beside each other I liked to imagine that his body was responding to the sexy clothing the same way mine was. Also we both did girly voices, and giggled a lot.

What had I gotten him into?!

Later, in a club, a fellow of indeterminate sexuality asked me to dance. I did. When it was over I asked him, to ask Jimmy. Jimmy danced too.

Good times, good times.

I have actually seen Hannah Montana Wigs orderable online but have very high doubts that they look even half as decent as they do on the box pictures they show. As far as other costumes don't be shy about going into retail stores or even halloween specific temporary stores and scout out costumes.

I dress on a very limited budget and have had my eye on a fairly decent look french maid costume for 20 bucks in the Halloween section of Kmart. Halloween is the most relaxing time to pick up a few naughty looking outfits.

Today I bought my Halloween costume off of ebay. It is an authentic cheerleading uniform. I made sure to buy it early just in case I had to slim down a few pounds to fit into it. Now I need to head to Dick's Sporting Goods. I know they happen to sell women's bodysuits with a turtleneck collar. And if I can find them, maybe a pair of cheap white tennis shoes. Also a wig.

So, this is going to be my biggest step forward as I will be donning this outfit at my brother and sister-in-law's Halloween party this year. It will be the first time anybody will see me wearing female clothing. I figure this will be the best way to at least partly come out. And if I'm a nervous wreck when I get there, I know they will have some drinks on hand to help me unwind.

The picture I posted is only their stock photo of the uniform. They use the same one for every listing, but it should be identical to it. I rather like it. Purple is one of my favorite colors and I love when it's combined with black in an outfit.

I missed Halloween last year because I was housebound because of neck surgery. Honestly I had nothing to wear that would go with the neck brace. So I'm hoping to make up for it this year.

I've ordered a "Gothic Lolita" dress from E-Bay, Bought new forms, got a different underbust corset that actually fits, went to the wig shop and bought the keyutest black pageboy. So I'm going all out for this one.
Wish me luck.

Last year I was a gothic cow with nipple rings on each of my udders and a sign on my chest that said "goth milk" and my girlfriend was a seniorita. This year I'd like to come out and dress as a female with my girlfriend dressed as a male; some kind of couple thing like wonder woman and superman or something like that, but so far nothing is really catching our attention and time is drawing near.

I've been looking around for a star trek uniform, like the ones from the 60's version of the show. I've only seen medium ones. I'd rather have a large one but will probably order the M and see how it fits. I just hope it's not too short and the arms are long enough.

I used to work at my local NBC affailiate. We had a bunch of reporters/anchors who weren't the brightest bulbs in the chandilere, so I would impersonate them. Some of them consiterd it an honer to be impersonated by a "drag queen" not realising I was that I was actualy making fun of them. Yea, a couple got ofended, but who cares, they would be gone in a year or so anyway. (Small station, in a small town. we had lots of airstaf turnover) Of course one time, I did an anchor to piss off a guy in production who #1, didn't like me, and #2 worshiped and stalked the anchor in question.
For this year, I was thinking Elvria, but after reading this thread, I feel like I would be lost in a sea of Elviras!

Here's your chance to make this years Halloween a two week-end event!
Last year Amy had 72 people show up. Glamour Boutique will reserve a time to do a make-over for you (small charge-space is filling fast), then a get together pre-party at the shop before the bus takes you to (and from) lounge that has been reserved just for us! Buffet dinner, dancing , entertainment, karaoke , gift bags, group photos and award ceremony. A perfect venue for those of you that are a little (or lot) shy about getting out in public.
Hope to meet you there!

Received my Halloween costume today in the mail. It's the cheerleading uniform in my previous post.

What can I say? I love it! It's a little snug at the moment, but I have well over a month to shed a few pounds so it'll fit more comfortably.

The skirt? It's uber-short!! Was debating on whether or not to shave my legs, but it's a no-brainer now.

When I first took it out and looked at it, I was a bit scared to wear it in front of other people. But I have to keep telling myself that it's a COSTUME party! Everybody is supposed to have a good time at a party, especially a costume party. I'm sure I'll be seeing other outrageous costumes there so I shouldn't be scared. In fact if I do this I'm positive it'll give me more confidence in life. :)

Actually, that would be fairly easy to make without ordering. A white sweater and a white pleated skirt, some burgundy/yellow ribbon and some felt.

If you're not good with a sewing machine, then just cut the USC out of the felt and use hotglue to stick them to the sweater. (cute sweater sacrilege!) Same goes for the trim on the skirt, although for the trim you'd almost have to sew it.

I love halloween! Unfortuntely I think I'm stuck going as Dumbledore this year... maybe he'll have on some panties under those robes! I bet he did anyway, you can tell he had feminine style with those flashy robes! ;)

I have it down to three different costumes. Any advice on these would be great :)

First is Alice in Wonderland (this is carried over from last year idea from my girlfriend).

http://aplusaccessadvantage.com/love_my_size/auction/t116_a.jpg

My second idea is a femime type of jester. I think I found a nice mix of colors (purple and black) for the tunic and a nice pair of tights to go with it:

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I have used it to gradually become more and more comfortable with my dressing. If you haven't been out before, please consider taking advantage of Halloween. You can even take baby steps like I did.

In 1997, I wore a jester costume, not unlike the one bostonjensen shows above. This costume is labeled as unisex, so I was still dressed like a guy, but seeing as it consists of a tunic (just a way of saying minidress without scaring off the guys) and tights, I was basically crossdressing in public for the first time. I was very nervous stepping out of the door in it. I got some funny looks at the gas station when I stopped to fill up my car. In the elevator ride up to my friend's apartment, a young woman who was in the elevator with me said "That is so cool!" although her boyfriend looked a little uncomfortable. Then at the party itself (at the place of a friend of my friend) I received so many nice comments from the ladies. I got more attention than I ever got at parties before. They all thought I was very brave to dress like that and thought my legs were cute. It was a great boost to my confidence. In fact, it was so great that the next year I wore the same costume when I attended a Halloween party with my girlfriend. That same girl later became my wife.

In 2002, I wanted to be able to have a similar experience, but still didn't have the courage to do drag. I soon fixated on the idea of Spiderman. I bought a red unitard from a dance store and drew in the blue and the webbing with fabric paints and markers. From the same store, I got a red lycra full face mask, and cut out eye holes to which I glued white netting. The costume was a huge hit at a party my wife and I threw, especially after everyone learned that it wasn't store bought.

Finally in 2003 was my coup de grace. Since Halloween 2002, I had come out to my wife and she had gotten over her initial anger at being kept in the dark for so long. We decided it was time for me to do a drag costume for Halloween. I went as Christina Aguilera. The costume was more inspired by early-era Chistina than anything she actually wore: a form-fitting tank, mini skirt, white fishnets, black heeled boots, and fishnet gloves. I had a blond wig with black worked into it, and wore two stick-on stones to represent her face piercings. My wife bought most of the clothes for me and did my makeup. There's a picture in the album associated with my profile for those who want to see.

We went to a friend's costume party, and many of the people who attended our party the previous year were there. I was very nervous on the way to the party. However, everybody there was wowed. I got very comfortable quickly and had a great time (the beer helped). Some of the girls were impressed that I could walk well in the heels. People still talk about that costume, but I never once got asked if I was a crossdresser. I think having my wife do the makeup, and trying to look not too good probably have something to do with it. I haven't worn drag for Halloween since, mostly because my wife was worried that people will begin to suspect if I do it too soon. However, a lot of time has passed, and if we get invited to another party it may be time to do it again.

I got my black bodysuit with turtleneck collar in the mail today for my cheerleading costume. I tried on the whole get up and I'm now psyched! I've never been one to feel comfortable showing a lot of skin. It has nothing to do with being shy or anything, I just love the feel of fabric on my skin. The bodysuit is made of 100% nylon and it just feels great! I'm now more confident that I'll have a great time at my brother's Halloween party!

I'm going to buy a wig soon and shave my legs when the party is around the corner. Then I'll break through my fears and finally post a picture of myself. I really can't wait! :)

Tracy,

Thanks so much for writing that list out. It jogged my memory that I always wanted to dress up like a flight attendant for Halloween.

I think this is the one I like the best. Will go great with my new blue heels!

All u maskers out there! OMG, the stadium's EMPTY now!

Well, just in case anyone's interested, CVS Pharmacy has the masks I wear all the time in stock now! Every store only gets about 4. So, hurry in if u want those "pretty lady" faces for $2 each!:D

DON'T go to the Newport Beach stores, tho! I know, for a fact, they're sold out!:o

I've seen her wear both black leather and patent leather High heel pumps. I would suggest these High Heel Patent Pumps (http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?skuId=068641120&productId=64506&subCatId=cat10270&catId=cat10088&lotId=068641&catdisplayName=Womens+).

OK, I was going for authenticity and not comfort. Here is a pair that is close to the style. It is in a crock pattern and 2" heels and Nine West. And they are $69! You can find them here: Oaks (http://www.ninewest.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-ninewest-Site/default/Search-Advanced?SearchSource=Advanced+Search&q=&cgid=7006&pmin=&pmax=75.0&prefn1=variantSize&prefv1=12&prefn2=variantWidth&prefv2=&prefn3=variantColorValue&prefv3=BLACK&prefn4=variantMaterialValue&prefv4=&prefn5=toeType&prefv5=&prefn6=heelHeight&prefv6=Medium+-+1+3%2F4%22+-+2+1%2F2%22&x=68&y=9).

My VERY first time out in public was to a friend's party on Halloween.
I was so nervous, but for no reason.
As I entered I did so with a male friend who was wearing a mask and of course no one recognized him. Also, he's about 5'6" and with my heels I was 6'3" so most eyes were on me.
As I waved to the guys I heard, "Who is that chick?", then "That's no chick, that's a guy?", then "Who is that guy?"
Even though they knew they still didn't know who. That made me feel great that even my best friends didn't recognize me and at first thought I was a girl.

They don't know about me...and it's probably for the best, but if they only had a clue....:heehee:
Just wish I had been better with makeup then and had more inner drive to be me and go out more.

I plan to do ALBERT EINSTIEN this year for my adult sunday school Halloween party. I have the baggy sweater, the white wig and fake hair and spirit gum to make the moustashe.----Im gonna pin a card to my chest with E=Mc2 written on it, just in case some folks need a hint. I did Colonwl Sanders last year and WON the contest. I DID do a FEMALE gypsy fortune teller in '04 which was a big hit too. I'll do her again if someone in the party asks me to, but guys gota be careful with female costumes or else some folks might think you are "funny" in an odd way. ;)

It's coming up again!! I am going to ask the question this way because I know most of us, if not all of us have dressed as a girl for halloween. So how many time have you dressed? For me I was a girl the past 3 halloweens. The first one was a gymnast. Yea, I ordered online a leotard and put that on. the other two times it was a group of us and my friend and I were the girls and my other friend was the pimp. Pimps and hos. Just the guys or the boys were the hos. I tryed suggesting we do that again but they said no. Don't want to push it as I do not know how they would react.

Oh my the excitement of going to a party while dressed, I wish. Unfortunately I don't know of anyone throughing a party where I could go dressed as a girl. the last time I dress as a girl for Halloween was way back when I was around seven and my mother dressed me and my brother in some of her old clothes. We were very poor and she thought it would be cute, little did she know I liked it. I guess the joke is on her LOL.

My red mini dress arrived today for my trip to Vegas and the Glamour Boutique Party on 10/24. I bought it on ebay from "Mary and Nora" , and it is awesome - full of ruffles and feathers. Check out their store for some fabulous gowns, which they make, and will make to your size if you ask - tell them Denise from FL sent you.
Now I need to get the accessories - red feather eyelashes, red stockings, shoes, and purse, and maybe a red feather wig. Can you imagine a Party with 50+ ladies in red - photos will be posted on the GB site.
Vegas has many events on 10/31 including the annual Fetish and Fantasy Ball. Anyone can easily blend in. Unfortunately, I will be back home then, out with my wife as Dr and Nurse - guess which one I will be.

If you have a bunch of GG friends, maybe suggest that they (and you) should all go as a cheerleader troupe.. As you chatter about it, mention that they're the lucky ones for getting to wear the sexy outfits as girls, and that all the guys get is that lousy jumpsuit.. if they bite on that, and start complementing you, just try some things like 'I WISH I could look as good as some of you do in those outfits..' :sigh:

I'm sure you could think of similar combinations.. vampires, zombies, group costumes will create a buffer for you to express yourself without being completely segregated. I do have to say though, as you mentioned, if you're seriously in a bible school, it might not be in your best health interests to start toying with the idea in public.

Just my .02$ though, take it 'er leave it. :)

---------------------------------------

Now, for my costume: Violet Song jat Shariff :D
(Better known as Ultraviolet)

This version of the outfit in particular: zippered half sweater, blue minivest, basically spandex leggings with just-over-the-knee heeled boots, but I'm keeping the purple hair. he he

Boots, Check.
Pants, Check.
Purple Wig, Check.
Half shirt and vest, hunting.
Sunglasses, Check.
Weapons, I'd love that flat etched sword, but I'll just have a fake one likely.

Sounds like you had a flash of courage and I think that is commendable. I hope your sister does help with pictures and more. How wonderful it must feel to be accepted in the home. I hope I can be as brave as you some day.

Try using Television crossdressers as character Ideas. Tell the friends you loved the movie Tootsie and would like to dress as Dustin Hoffman did. they may even come up with some of their own ideas as to who you should be.

Could you throw your own costume party and you could be the "hostess with the Mostess"

Just act like you're doing it for shock/comedic value. I was a playboy bunny a few years ago and everyone thought it was awesome. This year I have another great costume planned, as I mentioned above. I won't ruin the surprise though :tongueout:

I had posted in another thread, that while I would love to go out dressed fem for Halloween, it probably wouldn't happen. Well, an opportunity presented itself, and now I will be able to do it. I'm going to be going out as a French maid, and while the costume is kinda comical looking, not cute or sexy as I would have liked, I will be able to go out!!

This thread got me thinking about all the halloweens I've done enfem. I should be an expert by now or so obviously out... but I'm not. I've done:
Club chick sort of like what Kelly always wore on married with children
Miss piggy
Just a girl in a sun dress
Witch
Carrot top/clown woman
Sarah Palin
Biker Chick
The most fun was the biker chick because you can get big hair, find denim or leather at thrift stores and fake tatoos..heavy makeup etc.etc. and if you can get your partner to do a biker dude you have a really cool couples costume. I've always wanted to try a half man half woman, Xena or burlesque dancer.

The comments about people treating you differently...I don't think work is a good place to do any costume that is unusual...too many weird coworkers and their is usually some sort of power game going on. But, I can tell you some of my usual male friends were jealous because my costumes were 'so good'. Most people, however, just had a lot of fun with it. One male friend who thinks of himself as god's gift to woman was very nervous so I made a point of joking with him until he warmed up to it a bit. I don't think anyone treated me differently after, but I hear jokes about my halloween costumes 10 years later...if anything they say it is cool. I've never had any negative experience doing it.

Last Halloween I went to work at Marshalls as a pregnant woman. I had a book on pregnancy and a clipboard with paternity forms sitting on the counter. Also had a button about a tax deduction. I worked an 8 hour shift in the fitting room, but I had to take my heels off half way through the day.
The pain we go through to look pretty!
The year before I dressed just like the rest of the women to blend in, if you can call 6 ft., 225 lbs blending in. I figure that I would "pass" quite well on a dark foggy night!!??!!

Since the actual day of Halloween is on a Saturday this year, I was debating on walking into the public section of my place of employment, like an ordinary customer, enfemme, just for the heck of it. I don't work weekends generally, so it would give me time to get dressed and get out there and not have to stick around. Granted, for this walk-in, I'd go for the blending girl look, jeans and a cute shirt, forms, etc. A few people know about me at work, though they're mostly back office folks, so it might be a hoot to just walk in and say 'whatta think of my costume this year, I'm going as a woman! ;) '. I know, if anything, it'll just stir up a little more of the rumor mill and make the obviousness of my coming out just that much closer or at least let people know /why/ I've not worked for Hallows all these years. I don't want to think of a worse-case scenario, because I plan to come out relatively soon enough, why not break them in on a day when you get to dress as you like without /much/ consequence. :D

Our TriEss group is having our Halloween party on the 24th and the following week a local restaurant/bar is throwing us girls a Halloween party and all the locals are invited and must also wear costumes :-)

We'd all love to see your costumes for this year!

Becky,

I need a incredible amount of courage before I shave as much as you may have---maybe a pass from my SO as well. I would love to find something like you have found but it is difficult if you can't remove hair.

BTW---you look terrific!

This is my second time donning a female costume for Halloween. A few years ago I went as a Playboy Bunny, and this year it's Hannah Montana. I know structurally (build, posture, pose) I'm far from convincing, but I think on the actual outfit I did ok...

I think that I have my wife convinced that on Halloween we are either going to go to a haunted farm, or of to wet for that then hit the new movie "Vampires apprentice" and dinner out, in costume. Snow White and the Evil Queen hit the town!

Hi Becky,

That's very cute!

Last weekend, I went on a little Halloween shopping spree at a local costume shop. Everything was 40% off!
I couldn't pass up on that deal so I ended getting 5 different costumes all for a sweet deal that didn't break my wallet. :)

Sexy Candy Striper

99458

Pilot girl

99459

Sexy school girl

99460

Dallas Cowboys cheerleader

99463

Hot police girl

99461

I know I won't be wearing all of them, but I know I'll be wearing at least two. I'm definitely the sexy Candy Striper at a big party on Halloween.
And, I'll be wearing one of the others at my Tri-Ess meeting this coming weekend.
I haven't decided which one I want to wear yet.

Hugs!

Sorry to be a rerun but this was my last years Holloween post. I wanted to tell everyone about my desires for this holloween!
2008 post
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

God this is our time of year--at least mine! My wife and I hosted a holloween party last year. Although she didnt support or approve, I gathered enough courage to do the Piriate girl thing--suade knee high boots, black pleated skirt, fishnet hose, striped top, big hoop earings, silk scarf and a cute hat. I thought that it what I was wearing would be considered playful until I walked in from the grill and found out my wife told the oher wives that I bought 2 outfits that week! She played it off like I was a profectionest. As soon as I entered the room they wanted me to discribe the other outfits. I resisted and said that I had halloween outfits for 2 more years. Teri, my wife's best freiend, said that since I had already considering keeping them, that said that I liked them more than my current outfit. I was embarrased. My wife went on to dirscribe the business suit I bought--glen plaid suit with pants and a skirt in a soft pattern and the formal dress wth the hammered silk jacket in lilac to the other woman--they all expressed their approval. The woman turned into a mob--demanding that I change into one of the other outfits or they would parade them arround the house--all of the men were down playing darts. I agreed to change into the busienss suit, changing my blouse, hose and heels to complement the suit. I had been with the women so long and they convinced me that it would be just for them that it acutally felt natural. Coming down the stairs to greet them in my second outfit created so much excitement that the men came up from the basement. Here I was in my second outfit of the night and hair and makeup to match--yea everyone noticed. From that point on I iknew that it didnt make any difference to wear pants versus a skirt--I had crossed the line so far that everyone knew that this was not my first time. This year I'm going as a bride--not one of my second choice outfits from last year--might as well jump over the line than step over it!

October 2009!

I got lots of comments after last Holloween throughout the year but the neighborhood was anticipating our Holloween party which has become a neighborhood tradition. My wife asked me how I was going to upstage last years event and I told her that we need to clebrate our anniversity which is in November and we would hit a mile stone this year. She asked, what are you thinking and I explained that I have been crawling thru the local thrift stores looking for a wedding gown! I asked if she wanted to be my bridemade or husband. She choose the husband to help deflect any more neighborhood discussion about my last Holloween appearence. I told her that I would really need her help to be the bride and she just smerked!

I found the most wonderful 80's brides dress with long satin and lace sleaves and a billowing skirt of satin and lace at a local goodwill store. I explained that I scouted at least 3 dresses that would be perfect for me. She asked if I had found her a thrift store tux which made me blush because I never made it to the mens side.

We went last saturday early hoping to not find anyone else that we knew looking for a costume. She helped me with in the changing room to try on two wedding dresses at our first stop. The second dress was a must have! It was so pretty and I wanted everyone at the party to see me in this dress. My wife knew instantly that I was not going to leave this dress behind.

With mine in the car, we actually found a harder time finding her a tux. The good will stores produced nothing so we went to a formal wear company to by her a used tux. She told me that she was so self consious as we entered the store and I told her that she was experiencing the same feelings that I experince every time I walk into a Womans department of a store. I told her to realx--it is holloween--no one cares. She found thie most amazing morning jacket with tails and tuxedo pants! I think she was actually turned on trying on the tux with a ruffle shirt and matching bow tie from the same era as my dress.

So we have spent countless hours talking about the party that we will host and that I will be the bride and be attentive to our guest and she will be the groom and hang with the guys! I cant wait for this years party! I think of it almost every waking minute!

Thank you Anne! I'd have to admit that it gnaws at me. This is the one time a year where I could actually be "me" in front of everyone and my wife absolutely detests the idea. I even KNOW it's a bad idea because people still look at me sideways after the only other time I did this, several years ago. Even knowing it's a bad idea, and knowing that my wife has tolerated so much from me, I still can't help resenting her attitude on this a bit. What can I say - I've always freely admitted that I'm screwed up in the head . . .

I won't be going to any parties as I'm currently dressed any time soon but I did finally acheive a goal I've had for the better part of a decade: using the Halloween excuse to get all sorts of things I always wanted. Halloween superstores are gold mines and you don't get so many raised eyebrows.

It turns out school girls apparently can't go over a size 10 but after a little research on the company website, a 2nd trip to the store, an exchange and a bit more money, I found something that does the job quite nicely. Long story short, this is the third time I've worked up the courage to buy something and at long last, I finally have a plaid mini skirt and I can't get enough of it!

Hun, if you KNOW it's a bad idea, then I suppose it's in everyone's best interests to stifle the thought, even as much as it may hurt/frustrate. I mentioned to my GF last night that I was thinking about walking into my office / living Halloween dressed this year as a prelude to my coming out in the distance, and she chuckled. Yes, it's a risk, and even if I go back to wearing guy clothing for the next 6-mo+ or so, I expect the 'sideways' looks to occur, and hopefully break the ice (or stir the boiling pot). Hallows is supposed to be a fun be-yourself kind of day. If you can't be yourself on any other day, when /are/ you, really?

As devil's advocate to my own opinion though, kudos to you for showing respect to your wife, for the time being at least. Just don't let the (wo)man get you down too much. We don't want to see some news article someday like: 'Crazy Texan Crossdresser goes on mad armed shopping spree, shoots mannequin, takes shoes' or something. ;)

Every Halloween I hope the door of opportunity will open and I can go out dressed, this year may be the year. I am probably going to just hang out with some friends but it just so happens that it stands a very good chance that I will be the only guy in the group. Just me and a bunch of girls, so I thought it would be funny if I surprised them and showed up dressed as a woman. You know, so I can be "one of the girls."

Anyway, I want to get someone to do my makeup. 1. So it will look better then if I did it and 2. so that they won't wonder where I got makeup and where I learned to do it. I thought about maybe going to one of those makeup counters in a department store like MAC I know they will do your makeup but do they also expect you to buy something? Will they be willing to just do my makeup? Does anyone know a place I can go to possibly get my makeup done without having to splurge and buy some?

Furthermore, does anyone have any suggestions for good bra stuffers? I don't want to use my breast forms, that would totally give me away.

geri-tg.
10-17-2009, 02:02 PM
If I was going to dress I would dress as a hooker 5" heels and all. If you don't want to wear your breast form try small water ballons. I did before I bought breast forms.and they worked well.:o

Sally2005

For a costume, just plain old balloons filled with air work. If worried about popping bring a spare. For makeup, just call up your local MAC and ask them... maybe if you just walk in and do it in the store front they will help you out. I know if you book an appointment and private room it costs something... but don't expect it for free from anyone....at least give them a very generous tip. Another idea...get one of the girls you are going out with to help with the makeup.

Here's my costume for this year. Not sure if it will be worn to a public party, but it might. Would like to try and talk the wife into going clubbing on Halloween, so I could wear this out. I bought a cute mini petticoat, which really fluffs it out, I need to find some pink heels to match, but if not, I have black ones already.

Jill, I'd also try to get one of the girls you'll be out with to help do the make up. If nothing else that will throw them off a little bit more. Remember that you'll have shaved legs and will walk in high heels fairly well, not to mention how much you'll 'have spent' on your clothes for a one-time costume. As for boobies, just roll up a couple of socks and stuff 'em in. That works fine and you won't worry about popping them if someone gropes (and somebody will!).

You should also expect to get your bra strap snapped in a bit of revenge. My wife still does that and it sucks. Now I understand what the fuss was! :)

On the Makeover at MAC aspect, I had a friend who used to work at the MAC counter at Nordstroms and I had asked her about doing my makeup for halloween if I came in one year and she told me that tons of girls go in there before halloween parties to get makeovers so it really isn't a great time to just do a walk-in, or to schedule an appointment for the places that do complimentary ones if aren't planning on actually buying anything.

Think of it this way, you're basically taking a half hour or so of her time at work when she could be helping customers who could actually be spending some money.

I wanted to go somewhere to have it done because I wanted to surprise all the girls but also because it won't give any of them the opportunity to shoot down the idea or discourage me. If I show up already completely dressed then they can't do that.

I'm also not that really worried about that other stuff, if I wear a long skirt or opaque hose they won't notice my legs are shaved. I'll just say I got the clothes at a thrift store, there are a lot of quality items at a thrift store for cheap. I don't walk in heels that well and it's easy to act like I'm really terrible at it. I intend to chalk up the fine details to really getting into my costume.

Ok, so my wife has always known and accepted my feminine side, She does have a few rules she is firm about.

1. I don't dress around our friends or grown children and now grandchildren.
2. No posting pictures on the internet, she doesn't trust the net.

Sounds simple, but 2 years ago she relented and let me dress as a woman for a Halloween party. I wore a sexy maroon dress, 4"heels and spent hours getting ready with perfect makeup and glue on nails. I made a very convincing woman but as people realized who I was, there were many comments on how well I pulled off the whole image,TO WELL!!!

Ever since that Halloween I get the "sideways look" as Kimberly stated, some of the people that were there have said that a guy who walks in heels as effortlessly as I did, re-applies his makeup and has feminine gestures must have been practicing a very long time (again with the sideways look).

So my wife has told me that I will NOT dress as a woman this Halloween, she has also heard some comments. Yes I know it's a bad idea to dress again but I kinda resent that I have been told I can't. I loved the attention!!!

I've been going in drab to a weekly singles dance for the last 3 months. I've met some nice ladies but still have the anxiety of outing myself as I get to know them.

SO, for their Halloween dance last night, I waxed/plucked my beard, removed all visible hair south of my chin, trimmed/plucked my eyebrows, painted all 20 nails a bright red. Then a red bubble dress that hid a lot of figure flaws, off-black hose and black 3" wedge sandals. I added some bright red bobby pins and red claw clip to my shoulder-length greying hair. Then packed my evening bag with lipstick, driver's license, car key and cash. Put the big stuff in a tote bag, put on a leather coat and off I went.

I was very well-received by the ladies and the gents. Comments from the ladies included:
"you look just like a woman"
"you remind me of my grandmother"
"you're sexy"
"are those real?"
"you have great legs"
"now you know how us tall gals feel on the dance floor"
"those shoes look so comfy, where did you get them"

Then the standard stuff with the girls: having my breasts felt, legs touched, comparing nail colors, makeup tips, arranging breasts when slow dancing (over/under or in between).

One sister in drab outed herself to me. Several other guys asked where I got the 13W shoes (Avenue). One very drunk guy danced with me for a few seconds. No one hinted at homosexuality.

A lady I've been dancing with a lot for the last month continued to dance with me last night.

After the costume parade, I heard buzz that I was going to finish toward the top. Then I was announced as the winner of the $50 1st prize. I got to blow kisses to the crowd and do my impression of a curtsy.

All in all, a wonderful night. It will be interesting to see how I'm received next week in drab. Maybe they'll have a Mardi Gras dance.

One wonders what to wear for a Halloween Party. Last year at a straight singles club dance, I dressed all in blue, including carrying a blue purse, and went with a woman friend who also wore a skirt. I just wish she could have stopped calling me by my male name when were there!
This year at a trans-club supper, I ventured into more daring ground. I wore a mini-skort with black hose, pink jersey top, atomic raspberrry wig and tall, white go-go boots. But I was in good company. Someone remarked, what a bunch of ****s were were. (Or at least dressed like.)
Now I am thinking of going back to the straight singles club Halloween dance, but this time alone. I hate to cross-dress going as a man, now I have transitioned, but I really don't know what to wear. Any suggestions?

Locally there a lot of halloween super stores that have a wide variety of sizes.... I bought a nice flapper costume at Walmart... but it's a woman's large..... Think the bigest they had was extra large and I have no clue what size that equates to... A large is probably a 10-12 and an extra large a 14-16?

You purchasing a flapper costume proves the old saying " Great Minds Think Alike ". My costume, from Fredericks arrived last week, as I plan to attend a CD Halloween party on Saturday. Karren is the one with the great mind, and sharp wit. Me I just have a mind - maybe. A half wit ?

Been gone for a couple of years, sorry. Just thought I would pop in to see what has been going on.

I am getting all dressed up...I like the hippie costume this year. I went as a witch last year.

The problem I have is I'll be all dressed up and no where to go. I am near Las Vegas. Is Nora and her bunch still around? Anyone know of any good parties. I don't drink or really party hard, I just like to dance and listen to good music (Classic rock) and have good conversation and food with friendly people.

Oh, would like to be safe too.

Reading all of this leads me to the conclusion that Halloween in the U.K. isn't the big event that it appears to be in the U.S. and certainly I believe the event I'm going to will be rather low key so I'll be in drab

I would've preferred to post these in the photo section because I spent too much time on these to have it sit in the Halloween thread, but I will be good...

I will be going to a Halloween party this coming Friday and had to test my makeup and costume. I could not get the stupid nails to stick, so I went without them.

Here is me as Elvira:

Maybe I'll be able to improve on this for the party. What do you think?

The social club thats in my neighborhood I belong to is having a big Halloween bash this year and there are prizes for best male and female costumes. My wife came with the idea why don't I go as Felicity? She said I should wear my nice red sheath dress, put on my make.up and blonde wig and black pumps. She also said since I look real good all dolled up(better than some GG's she said) I should be a shoo in for 1st prize. I told her I liked to but I think I'll decline on it since I'm pretty well known in our neighborhood and it might throw up some red flags because they'll notice my shaved arms, arm pits and legs. Plus another thing, when I'm all dolled up to the nines and start having a few beers and wines, I really start acting feminine and girly and let my female side out and if the guys see that, surely that will throw every red flag up.

Back in 2001, we went to a party and went as Mayor Guiliani, bought the mask and wore a 3 piece suit and I won 1st prize, 200 dollars.

She is Right about the Hooters as I just went to watch a DVD that I have and Elvira was well endowed for sure and a simple trick for the nails is a very small drop of krazy Glue in the center of your nail and you can find a bottle of nail remover at the Drugstore for removeing artificial nails just soak the nail in a cup and vola it comes off try if first, By theWay the picture of you the first time as Elvira is so great my daughter had agreed and said you look like The Beautiful Mortcia Addams and if Gomez was around he would definitely be kissing up your arm. I'm using a Diva from Classic Curves and unfortunately the dress I have doesn't plunge as deep as Elvira's! There's an old interview of Elvira on YouTube by Jay Leno and she said that her boobs would pop out so much on the set that the crew just got used to it! LOL I'm going to try and get more umph from better makeup.

The nail thing has been a problem for me because of my shaking. I'm going to just paint the nails I have black. For some reason it's easier for me to paint than to struggle with the glue. ???

With Halloween just a week away, how many of you plan to get out for parties that do no go out the rest of the year. There is nothing wrong with waiting for Halloween to get out I did that for many years before finally getting out past the high "HOLY" day. Those that do go out do you go out for Halloween parties and do you go out dressed as a woman or a Feminine costume.

Myself will be out in a feminine costume both Friday and Saturday.

When Halloween is over don't go back into the closet, I am out with a group of Jersey girls all year, weekdays as well as weekends, we go to many different places, from Triangles in CT, to NYC, New Hope, Phila, as well as many NJ Restaurants and clubs. Check out the goings on at

I am stuck in a tuff place. I really want to go out as a pretty witch in stead of the typical witch from the wizard of oz. The only problem is, if I do this it could be really stupid and screw up alot of thing's as far as perception is concerned. I haven't had a girl friend for the last couple of year's and I think some people are begining to wonder why I am still single. The truth is I loved my old girl friend alot and I just haven't found anybody that I like so there is the problem. PLEASE VOTE NOW. I just don't know what to do.

I've got this lovely pair of black and red feathered wings that I've been trying to figure out what to make a costume out of. Found them while doing some cleaning, and no one claimed them so they are now mine! Thinking of maybe a modern take on an angel - skirt and top combo, maybe.

So, I was invited to go to a crossdresser's Halloween bash here in Houston this weekend by a couple I know. I was thrilled, as this would be my first time going out.

Now, my wife has a rule that I can shave whatever I wish, except for my chest. That's her pillow, so she gets veto power. So, it limits my options a tad. A good friend of mine suggested Captain Shakespeare from the movie Startdust. For those who don't know, the role is played by Robert DeNiro who is a pirate ship captain and also a closet CDer. The scene is fantastically humorous. I have DeNiro's basic build and face, so it was a great idea.

I had a corset made, and an under chemise, all in pink. White tights and a pair of cute black boots. The makeup was simple, just whitening my face, and putting a cute black heart on my cheek. I added some mascara even though the character didn't wear it. I was going out, damnit, and I wanted to wear makeup!

So, we were supposed to get a hotel room close and dress there. Unfortunately, we were unable to. So, we dressed at the house and drove all the way into Houston. What a thrill to be in a cute little skirt and high heeled boots going 70 down the freeway!

The party was fantastic. So many pretty gurls there. I was truly jealous of just about everyone. I was well received, which was a relief. I was worried that anyone not familiar with the movie would think I was making fun of CDers rather than celebrating those of us still in the closet. In fact, one person who had never seen the movie asked if I was dressed as a closet CDer. I'm so glad they got it.

I had the best time, and enjoyed the company of so many others who enjoy the feel of women's clothing. The TGs all got up and performed their best numbers, and we all danced until the wee hours. When I left, I walked out of there into the parking lot far more confident than when I walked in.

I even stopped for a drink at a corner store on the way home. I didn't care that I was obviously a man in a dress. I walked in confidently, got my drink, and winked at the boy behind the counter as I sashayed out the door.

What a fun night!

Tia

Hi Girls,

The big Halloween Street Party in Dallas was this past Saturday night. If you ever get a chance you need to come see it...at least once before you die. It is the most amazing party I've ever been too. There were literally thousands of people there.

I walked the gauntlet and had dozens of people stop me for pictures. It was so much fun.

We went with about a dozen girls that are members of my meetup group. We rented a hotel suite and Limo to drive us to and from the event. We stopped in downtown Dallas and took pictures too. It was just awesome.

Here are some of the pictures from the event...

I just got off the phone with one of my old friends from college and we're going to go to some crazy Halloween parties dressed as Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton.

Now this is by no means a "coming out" for me because it's Halloween - everything is all for fun right? And he wouldn't miss a chance to make fun of a political figure.
And I know this sounds a tiny bit gay - it's not that way, it's a funny joke for a party.

Anyway, this will be my first time wearing a whole outfit of women's clothing. I'm going to portray this in a non-serious kind of way; I intend to look like a dude in drag, not like a real crossdresser.
I want to wear pantyhose with this - because that's what I'm into if you've read any of my other posts - so I'm going to be Clinton in a skirt.
It is supposed to be scary isn't it, sounds like a pretty scary costume Hillary Clinton in a skirt.

Not only that, I'm also getting another person to willingly crossdress. I've sort of thought that men don't think about women's clothes only because they've never had the chance.

But it's good to have a forum like this where I can tell like-minded people about things like this.
What are your thoughts? Any suggestions or comments?

My previous post (#204) I posted that my social club is having a halloween party and prizes for best costumes and wasn't going to go dressed femme, well I changed my mind and I'm going to go out femme and be Farrah Fawcett. My wife came up with the idea that if I go as a female celebrity, people won't give it a thought at all. One couple that we know told me the other night that he is going as Cher and his girlfriend is going as Sonny and when i told my wife, thats when she came up with the idea. It was my decision to go as Farrah since I adored her when I was 12-13 years old and she was on Charlies's Angels. I googled Farrah Fawcett wigs and found a site that was selling them, bought one and it arrived yesterday and it looks great. I have a white halter dress that I'm going to wear, my tan sweater coat and black pumps. I'm excited about doing it but also a little nervous, but maybe before we go,I'll have a few glasses of wine to calm my nerves, since the club is a block away from our house and don't have to worry about driving. I told my wife if I start to act girly and feminine, just take me aside and let me know.

Anyway,wish me luck ladies.
