Wow, thanks for everyone's reply! Seems like a lot of you girls are saying "it was 10 years ago, you have no problem"...but I still feel like I've used up my "family and friends" free pass- they might forget a cowboy costume or a goblin costume or something, but a 5lutted-out hooker in a leather micro, stiletto heels, and a feather boa? One time out as a female and it just looks quirky and fun. The second time it begins to look like a TREND.
I think I will do as was suggested, and just not let the family see me this time. The great part is I still have the same sweet girlfriend, and she would play along and have fun doing it. (I know for a fact what she really wants to do is a "Sonny and Cher" combo. I'll let you guess who is Sonny and who is Cher.)
As far as "doing it too well"- it's like this- IF I do it, I'm doing it right. The whole idea is to use the holiday to let my normally closeted expressions out! I just have to decide to either DO it or NOT do it. I agree that a super-polished presentation might make me look a little too comfortable, but I still think the fact that I would wear a female costume more than once is more incriminating.
