Even if not en femme it is nerve racking to have a law enforcement officer riding your bumper. Thursday I had a motorcycle officer on my bumper for five miles through a single lane winding and hilly road with increase and decrease in speed limits. It was a total distraction to watch the rearview mirror for anyone while trying not to go over the center line by an inch.
The officer was probably covering his bases by telling you you were going over the center line. Good pretense for a stop. One of my long time family friends, who is a state trooper, told me, if an officer wants some reason to stop anyone all he has to do is stay behind you. Sooner or later you'll do something. He used that method before using a cell phone was a primary reason for a stop. Give the driver a ticket for an illegal lane change (no signalling) and also give them a ticket for cell phone usage.
I guess a useful hint for riding en femme is take along a pair of flats to change into if you have to walk the center line on a DUI stop. Or risk tearing up your hose.
