OK, I confess... for me, crossdressing without heels would be sort of a letdown... pun intended!
At six feet, I'm already kinda tall. I've noticed most guys are shorter, and even more women. Even so, I absolutely won't wear anything anything less than 2 1/2" heels. I believe they help my posture, keeping my steps shorter, my shoulders back, and my head up.
I just recently bought my first pair of cowboy boots. As a guy, just to look more stylish. My GF liked 'em, as did the saleswoman, who commented, " For a guy in his first pair of boots, you can sure walk in heels!"
I had to refrain from telling her that this wasn't my first rodeo, and that my usual heels had a lot thinner heel than the cowboy boots!
