I too, have DVT but don't consider it "novel" by ANY stretch. It's a HUGE PITA. I wear flesh colored knee high compression socks and don't hide it. No one has ever questioned the what for or why fors. It's just an every day part of getting dressed nowadays. Yes, I wear shorts to work.
