I respect your position on the telling/hiding question but does she already know absolutely everything else there ever could be to know about you? If not, then you are not deceiving her by introducing it at a later stage in the process of telling her about yourself. Relationships are about learning to know the other person - not about telling it all in one go. It seems to me that you do not know enough about her to decide that it is time for her to know this about you.
