HollyStorm
10-16-2009, 02:18 PM
I originally wanted to be Hannah Storm, but it occured to me that there's a minor celebrity with that name (ESPN Anchor). So i went with Holly, which i think suits me. Storm is kind of an homage to one of my fav comic book characters. I also like the fact that it sounds strong since I'm kind of a big strong girl. That and I fancy myself a bit of a drag queen lol.
I like the girl from this youtube video a lot! : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CH6E_9jJxA4

Holly, mainly because I've always thought it was a pretty name, and I didn't really care for the feminized form of my own name.
Astera
10-17-2009, 04:38 AM
I picked mine because it was simple. I didn't want a bunch of numbers in my name, so it had to be somewhat unique. It's Persian for star.
Kiera79
10-17-2009, 11:03 AM
For me I have always liked that name. Never met a girl or woman by that name so I named myself that. Until I joined this site never really had a name for my femme side. So here I am.
I AM Medoro
10-18-2009, 09:03 AM
I picked this name because I wanted something that sounded a bit femme and also had meaning to it. The name Medoro means Me-Dorothy. The word me and the four letters from Dorothy. I remember the wizard of ox and as a child then loved the dresses she wore in the movie. I wanted one of those so badly that it became a shame I was not a girl to have one. My fantasy was to be able to dress like that and be accepted, never happened.
Now I AM MEDORO. Its a wonderfull feeling .:tongueout:tongueout:love:

The first time i did a complete transformation my girlfriend who was helping me named me. I was thinking of changing it recently but i think im going to stick with it.

I chose mine, Eirinn, because it is an old Gaelic spelling for the name of Ireland, of whose heritage I am descended from. I chose Rose to go with it because it's a beautiful flower, just like me.

Mine name picked up half from my girl friend's name &as she is fat called jadu ,as I love her too much but she lecks behind in anticipation & left me at half of the journey so selfishly.

Hi Girls,
My name is Wendy,
I don't really know why i pick this name,
I think I just liked it

I haven't picked a name yet...I'm still too new to this. I can't get beyond my utter terror at telling my wife (though it's time...it has to be done because I can't keep the secret from her any longer. God willing, this will happen sooner than soon).
That said, I will probably choose something that goes with my initials. I've always liked "Annie" and "Elise". :)

my name is the name i would have had if i was born female.

Illusions Of Amy
10-22-2009, 10:18 PM
Amy's just my favorite female name for no obvious reason. I could have used Nicole (the name closest to my real one) but I don't really like it that much, and it also has a recent evil association to me. Someone who pretty much singlehandedly ended the relationship of one of my friends, specifically.
JenniferRose
10-22-2009, 10:19 PM
My friend I first came out to helped me pick it out, she suggested both and I tried out combining both and liked how it sounded, so I stuck with it

When I was just a teenager there was a beautiful BBW that lived next door to me. I admired her and was mezmerized by her lovelyness. I was not enchanted with her for the same reasons that other boys in the neighborhood were, I wanted to BE her. She was not only beautiful but graceful and tenderhearted. She was beautiful inside and out. I loved everything about her, the way her dresses swished when she walked, her smile, her gentle manner. She seemed to move effortlessly and always had a kind word for anyone she encountered. Her name was Maria. Sometimes I wonder to this day where she is, what she is doing, how her life turned out.
Sigh...
Proud of my name and all it represents to me inside.

DiannaRose
10-29-2009, 04:08 PM
I'm currently thinking the name "Dianne Rose" has a nice ring to it. Dianne was the name of a very good friend of mine who passed away 20 years ago, and "Rose" because I just adore the color pink. ;) (Okay, most roses aren't pink, but "Dianne Pink" just doesn't have the same flair.)
What do you think?
tamarahcd
10-29-2009, 11:13 PM
I picked Tamara as my name due to that I was probably called that by my father when I was a baby. He kidnapped me before I was one and hid me dressed as a little girl until about 3yrs of age and he had to give me back to my Mother. I like the sound of Tamara though :)
Teree
10-29-2009, 11:22 PM
I love telling this story...I happen to have a very clever daughter...we have many stray animals 'dropped' off by misguided owners to fend for themselves in the 'country'...a gorgeous tabby was enjoying food and water, but wouldn't come close enough for clear identification...my daughter decided to name the kitty 'Mystery' since we didn't know if it was a boy or a girl...her thinking was if it is a boy we can change 'Mystery' to Mr. E and if it was a girl it would be Miss Teree...the cat was finally discovered to be a boy...lucky me now became Miss Teree
My name, I created out of necessity. A few years back, I needed to give a name when registering for Southern Comfort so I put my thinking cap on and came up with Amy for my first name as it always had a cute ring to it. then the roxy music song "Avalon" for the last name. They kind of just flow together. Simple cute. Not too pretentious. like me haha.

At the company I work for, computer password changes are required every 3 months. Every time I changed mine, I would use a different girls name using names I was fond of. When I finally used Abigail, it stuck and I knew that was my name.

Daniel here going as Danielle. It was the first and most obvious. I like the name but its too much like my own so I'm still thinking I'll change it later. Thinking about a new name is half the fun.
AmberLynn
11-04-2009, 10:02 AM
My name has a story to. I was about 6 year's old playing with a girl friend of mine named AmberLynn. the reason this stick's with me is this.
while we were playing house, she said she hated being the mommy and hated her name. she said she wanted to be a boy,i said i wanted to be a girl so we switched name's and role's i became amber, and she became shaun "my male name at birth" and we had a great time playing house the rest of that day. ever since I have been amber

Wendy is close to my birth name. Holly became Horace. Silly fun.

I chose the name my parents would have named be if I had been born female. For the longest time I never liked the name, but a few years ago it suddenly felt so right and natural that I took it on for my own. And now I love it and identify it with myself.
miss robyn
11-08-2009, 02:56 PM
Like many of you, my mother was going to name Robin if I was born female..but I wasn't. I liked the name, The spelling of it is different from the one I use, cause I didn't know my mom would of spelt it that way and it was too late for me to change a lot of my emails and logins so I just kept it.

ColleenPDX
11-11-2009, 05:42 PM
I went with Colleen because that was the girls name my parents had decided on before I was born. It works out well since it is a common term for girl or woman in Irish and our family is Irish.

11-15-2009, 10:41 PM
The James Taylor lyric, "Suzanne the plans they made for you put an end to you". For some reason I could relate to it.
I have the nickname of Muffy. That is a long story that deserves a post or blog. We will just say that I was given that name by a roomate that caught me dressing in college.

I went with Chloe as it is girly o.O ? ! many other names came to mind but that one was the most appealing, but a name is yet a label... so it may change as time passes by.

Hi Forum:
Reading the original post and all the replies - You're all sweet! No matter what name ya choose have, just remember we're stuck with our birth names thanks to Ben Ladden and loss of our once ability to change/use another name quit freely and easily, Today, November 2009, UNLESS we legally change our names which isn't that easy and sometimes very costly. Moreover, should one change their name, too often anxieety circumstances we don't need come about.
I like the luric "Girls like to have fun", it added a nice touch! Happy holidays to everyone.

I love the name Alison, and I would have given it to one of my children, so I adopted it for my own. The middle name has no significance other than that I like it.

Astrid Star
11-23-2009, 10:05 AM
I chose Astrid because it is a name that appeals to me. For some reason it reminds me of "space". It is nothing like my real name which I quite like and would be happy to use because it is a neutral name, but I use Astrid for anonymity. :heehee:
Astrid
Ailyn
11-23-2009, 04:53 PM
I picked Ailyn because I think it's a beautiful name and I love the way it sounds. I first heard this name when I saw Ailyn Mujica (Avatar pic) she's a beautiful Cuban soap opera actress and i've always had a crush on her. It's also the name that I chose for when I have a daugher.
Gretchenivy
11-23-2009, 10:18 PM
My boy name is quite a girly name really, and I would love to use it. But, that would be a little easy for someone I know to peg me online.
I settled on Gretchen very easily and early on. It was the name of a really wonderful and sexy girl I dated briefly. She made a big impression on me. But, I also have sort of a thing for western European girls. The last name, Ivy, came from another really stunning and interesting girl I knew long ago. Both first and last are slightly unusual which attracted me to them as well.

I adore the name Astrid.
Pietrina
11-24-2009, 03:29 AM
I just love lots of girls names so it was difficult.
In the end I opted for a name that is not too common. Pietrina is Italian I understand and it sounded right! (Pronounced Pet-Reena)
JennyBaumann
11-25-2009, 05:38 AM
In my youth my name was Jimmy. In the south they pronouncy Jenny "Jinny", so it sounded close enough for me. Later I also took the proper name, Jennifer, which I think really fits me well.
Tina123
11-25-2009, 11:11 AM
I wanted a similar name to my male one, 2 syllables, starting with same letter. Also influenced by a delightful secretary with this name,I used to work with.

Spacey
11-28-2009, 01:20 AM
Spacey Cadet.
Someone once said it sounded like something out of David Bowie's mind. Hmm? Probably a subconscious decision. Anyway, I'm forever looking to the stars and my busy mind seems to wander into daydreaming and I cant focus on the obvious. That makes me a true space cadet really. You can just call me Spacey though.
Avana
11-28-2009, 03:15 AM
I chose Astrid because it is a name that appeals to me. For some reason it reminds me of "space". It is nothing like my real name which I quite like and would be happy to use because it is a neutral name, but I use Astrid for anonymity. :heehee:

i chose my name because my given name also starts with a, and ALANA is short and rolls off of the tongue...it just feels sexy to say.

I took it from a girl I loved some years ago. She was a 5 ft 3in gymnast with dark hair and dark eyes and the most incredibly built body. She absolutely oozed sex appeal when she wore her little mini skirts and heels. Made every woman that saw her(and a few men) green with envy at her lean muscular legs.Sadly, she was killed at the tender age of 23 when she got t-boned by a utility truck in Chicago. I still miss her sometime. She could be a little hellion sometimes, but she could also be sweet as pie.

GeenaCDinMA
11-29-2009, 08:29 PM
My female name has been through several changes over the years. When I first discovered that there were sites out there for us CD/TV gals, it was way back in the Prodigy days. I first chose the name "Honey", but the responses were too forward. I then changed it to Tina, which I kept for several years into AOL. About 10 years ago, I changed it to Geena or GeenaCD, etc. Initially because I just loved Geena Davis, but it also started with the same letter of my guy name. Anyway, I like it because it is very feminine and sweet, and I just love it.

janis murray
12-01-2009, 04:27 AM
My Mum said she would have called me Janice after her older sister if I'd been born a real girl. I shortened it to Janis in my teens, so I've been Janice/Janis most of my life. That's what my family know me as, I would never change it.

TabbyJames
12-05-2009, 11:25 AM
For me I always loved the name Tabitha (the little girl in Bewitched) and when I was young thought that it was befitting. So its Tabitha or Tabby for short.
JD_CD
12-05-2009, 01:29 PM
The way I use to sign my name looked like Jess instead of Jeff so it was just natural to pick Jessica (Jess for short). Makes it easy to sign too :)
MissKara
12-05-2009, 09:41 PM
I picked Karla because my real name is Karl and I always was called Karly at school by my mates (For fun and games). I always hated the name Karly but I loved the name Karla :D Although since I am returning to my crossdressing ways, I am actually consdering changing to Kara.

I picked my name myself, After Wendy in Peter Pan
Bailey_in_Mansfield
12-08-2009, 09:09 PM
I picked the name Bailey because it just has a very gentle, passive ring to it, and just flows gracefully off the tongue. I also know a beautiful young woman named Bailey, so that probably had something to do with it. :)
EDIT: And btw, no, it had nothing to do with that Irish cream! :P
Laura'sCloud
12-09-2009, 05:06 PM
I would have been called laura if i was a born a girl and its a name i have always liked
Emma68
12-09-2009, 08:24 PM
It took me a very long time to make up my mind yet eventually I settled on Emma in a matter of seconds because I needed to create an email account! I just love the name because it sounds very soft, traditional and feminine and ever so slightly classy without being toffee nosed - just like the girl I would like to be!
Jezebella
12-11-2009, 05:37 PM
I've never really picked a femme name for myself, but I have a short list of names I like that I've used over and over again for characters in table-top and online RPGs. I'm "Jezebella" in a couple of other places online already, so now I'm "Jezebella" here, too. Most of the time, though, everyone abbreviates it down to "Jez" in short order... which happens a lot with my real name, too, coincidentally.
karinrochelle

I picked this name because it sounded femine and could not be a male name at any strech

:rose2:When i got my divorce.my first mission was to find a name,an exciting first step for us all,im sure you'll agree,i wanted to pick a pretty name, that couldnt be shortened, esp to anything resembling male e.g. jo.At that time (early 2000s)there was a royal marriage,i thought Sophie sounded nice and girly, and also there was two gorgeous models,Anderton and Dahl, well that was it Sophie was born, much later my wife thougfht i should have a middle name,so here i am today.Sophie Louise :)

I picked mine cause it's a take off of my real name and something that my SO can use on me anywhere--especially in stores when I'm 'browsing' the aisle or at family stuff if she knows I've got something on under my regular clothes!
Dee Model
12-13-2009, 10:11 PM
Mine's from a book by Ken MacLeod called The Stone Canal.
The character is Dee Model and is me all over. She is a gynoid; a female simulacrum, so not a GG, which fits, cos I'm not either. She is a machine that wants to break her programming...'information wants to be free' is the rallying call of the book.
It's (naturally) my favourite book.

I am on my third name in 30 years or so. I picked Janis as my first female name. She was a girl I had the hots for in junior high. Next came Bridget. That was chosen for me by my wife when I came out to her in 1988. My present name was picked by my present girlfriend. It came from sharing a bottle of brandy when we stayed on the beach when we first met in person in 2006. We met on-line and fell in love almost immediately since we were both what the other was looking for. She flew here to meet me after 3 months of communicating via the phone. That bottle of brandy was symbolic for us. So she chose my name...Brandy

I think I'm probably going to go with Amy, since it would have been my name had I been born a girl. My fiance doesn't think it fits me well, but I'm terrible at comming up with names.

Elle44
12-16-2009, 12:30 PM
I got my name from the french magazine Elle which I subscribe to many years ago. I saw the magazine in a food supermarket and the title sent bells and whistles off in my whole being, I bought the magazine and I've been hooked on it ever since. The "Woman Within" is very happy with it! Hugs, Elle
Elle was already taken when I joined here so the the reason for Elle 44 the year I was born, in my youth as a young teenager all the boys called me "Stella" and of course to compliment and tease me for my "uh hum" girly ways, especially when I changed my clothes in gym class and they saw my silky girly unmentionables, my panties.

I picked my femme name after a very feminine girl I knew.
Daniela76
12-19-2009, 01:34 AM
Daniela was pretty easy and is just an a added on to my name Daniel. I like the sound of Dani also, even though I hated being called Danny after the age of 12.
Daniela seems like a good fit since I feel like my personality isn't split between m/f but just one person.
However there are some other names I really like. Natasha is one, but Tasha even more. I'll see where my journey leads me and if some beautiful GG comes up with something better for me.
Raychel
12-19-2009, 01:59 AM
I tried several differant names for a while, None of them I realy liked, Then I just starting going by Raychel, It just kinda stuck. And just so happens is an extension of my true name Ray-chel. As for a last name again I have been playing witha few. For now it is Drescher. Not totally sure if that is my final answer on that though.
Raychel Drescher Hmmm maybe

I know I dont post here very often, but today is a good day.
last night, my wife and I came up with a name for the girl in our lives.
When dressed, from now on I will be Katie it will make shopping easier too.
Thanks wife.
I'm not sure why it is Katie but it is.
Why or how did you choose your name?
Katie

12-22-2009, 06:46 AM
Since I met my wife she had been calling me "Kitty", so it was kinda natural to start carrying that name officially as it was already daily use anyway. Not to forget that my wife would insist on calling me that no matter what name I took. Besides I simply love the name.

linnea
12-22-2009, 08:45 AM
I think that there is often a lot feeling and meaning to a name; a name is expressive too.
My name comes from the Swedish botanist/taxonomist Linneaus. One of the reasons is that he came up with a way of naming and classifying plants and animals that was basically two parts (then it can be expanded for making finer distinctions). I've felt that my life included two very closely related "parts," so I thought that I would take the name Linnea Carol (the botanist was Charles Linneaus).
That's part of the story.
If I go 24/7 at some time, I'm not sure that I will continue to use this name, but who knows.
Angie G

She said, I will you Tiffany. And Tiffany it has been since then.

12-22-2009, 06:37 PM
Suzanne comes from the James Taylor song Fire and Rain.
"Suzanne the plans they made for you put and end to you". I picked the name a few years ago when I felt that I had been swept along by fate and lock into an en drab life. Luckily that was not that case, but I love the name and never want to change it.

I can't really answer the question. I have called myself Sherry from when I first put on one of my Mom's hugely oversized bra. That's a long time ago but at the same time it's something I'll never forget or want to for that matter. Maybe it was a song or maybe I'm just Sherry.
Leslie Langford
12-22-2009, 09:02 PM
...it is androgynous and works equally well in male or female mode. I don't really know where the "Langford" part came from - it just sort of popped into my head, but I do like the flow of the two names together and the alliteration of the "L" sounds.

Becky10
12-23-2009, 09:30 AM
This is something I have been thinking about just recently. The creation of a persona has been as exciting as applying perfume for the first time, or putting on earrings; those things beyond clothes and shoes (...and make up...and wig...and stockings...and... and...). My first name (Melanie Anne) - a long time ago - was chosen because it shared the same initials as my real name. I still occasionally use this just in case I can one day get a credit card that doesn't show 'Mr' at the front!! I am now Rebecca Susan (Becky) but I'm not entirely sure where these names came from; they were just there and fitted! But building up the persona behind this - birthday, likes, dislikes, style, background - has been a fulfilling thing to do. I would simply love for someone to call me by that name (thinking of another thread about dating a guy...) and for me to live with this persona whilst en femme. Hope that makes sense... Becky xx

I had a hard time chosing a name and still don't feel committed to this one. I chose it because it was the name of the proverbial "one that got away." I feel like it's somewhat symbolic of embracing myself and not letting the girl inside of me get away. :)

Karin9
12-25-2009, 03:56 AM
I'm having trouble sticking to a name. I always thought Karin would be good, somehow exotic yet girl-next-door-y (that probably doesn't make any sense) but it doesn't seem feminine enough now. Then I tried Britney/Brittany as it's very similar to my actual name but... too daft. I need a schoolgirl sounding name that doesn't sound daft.
Anita1day
12-25-2009, 07:20 PM
I originally morphed an Arnold Schwarzenegger line from "I need a vacation" to "I need a holiday" to "Anita Holiday"... when I decided to experience a full transition it morphed again to "Anita Marie", Marie being the middle name of each of my three sisters... at this time I am uncertain as to whether I will retain my family surname or morph my given name at birth from "Edward" to "Edwards" to give a final name of "Anita Marie Edwards". I think it flows... any comments or suggestions? lol! Merry Christma ladies! XOXO

I started off just using the female spelling of my male name - but that got confusing because in the US, I discovered, the convention was the other way round - ie that the female spelling in the UK was more usually the male way in the US.
So - I pondered, as you do.
Then I went to my first social group event, and it was such an enlightening experience. I thought, then, about my religious journey, and the fact that I was confirmed on the day celebrating the conversion of St Paul.
Hence - Paula D'Amascus. Geddit? Never mind if you don't. You did ask, though!

Sonia was the name of an imaginery lady friend when I was a teen and so lonely. I made up stories of adventures while day dreaming or falling asleep, where she was my companion, we would be spies or something and had great times saving the day and getting along sooo well.
When I looked for a female name to register to this forum, I realized that Sonia looked a lot like the girl inside that showed up in the mirror one day...
D'argency was the last name of the first girlfriend (this one was real) I ever had sex with

After finding out I was transgebdered, and not perverted [as she previously thought], through therapy, my wife came to understand my need to be me. it was then that she helped me to be the best me i could. Part of that was to give me a female name. She chose Nicole, as nicholas was my middle name... i have never wanted anything else. She is looking down from heaven now, but i still remain nicole.

After I told my best friend( a ftm cder:hugs:) we some how came up with the name Paige Axel Valtieri because Paige is an asexual name and I am soon to be adopted by my Aunt and Uncle for legal reasons, so we decided that if my name is going to change anyway might as well make it one I like.

My wife too chose the name with me, when she decided if she were to live with me on occasions en femme, she wanted it to be as if I were another female, not her husband in female clothes.
MarinaKirax
01-02-2010, 02:04 PM
My first return to my feminine side after not dressing, and denying this for about a decade, was Second Life. I created a female avatar, (and, BOY!, you can sure find some clothes and shoes on SL!) and Marina K was the name the computer popped up for me. I liked the sound of it. I got to know other people, and they knew me as Marina, and I got used to having people chat with Hey, Marina! or signing my posts as Marina, and so when I decided recently to begin dressing again (with no more clothes at all...) I became Marina K. I feel know her, she has a history for me (or a HERstory). MK
PaperDoll

jadzia-lynne
01-02-2010, 06:44 PM
I chose Jadzia from the actress in Deep Space Nine, I loved her beauty and wish I could have done my face as well. Lynne is from the first girl I kissed when I was 8 or 9 while we were playing house and I was dressed as the mommy :daydreaming: I do not think I will ever forget that.

Thinn - Derived from the language of ancient hebrew descending from the word 'thinnion' meaning: angel like, divine, magical, spiritualy uplifting. Also a term for ecstacy :) . Or ..... a girl of the promiscuous nature .
Thera ... a beautiful greek island in Aegean Sea also known as Santorini .

MarcyRex
01-04-2010, 10:31 PM
While I have been always been partial to "Sue", I settled with Marcy because that was a name I was "mocked" with as a child at grade school. Everyone got a laugh but for different reasons. Clearly the moniker did not affect me as they had hoped and it soon was dropped. I was a bit sad in a way, missed it. It took all 6 years of grade school to develop a masculine facade. Been lurking one this board for a VERY long time. Wife is finally comfortable with me outside closet and previous employment no longer has impact on activities. Can you say WHHEEEEEE? or is it SQUEEEEE!?

Dont know if this is a common thing amongst you gals, but I dont particularly want a female name.
Not that I like to be known by my real name when im dressed.
For some reason Ive become more comfy with the name, Smile. Obviously this is an abrev. of smile in secret, but I can never help but do what my name suggests when Im dressed.
It's a little non-specific as far as gender goes, and as I have no intention of being a woman, I find it doesn't blur the lines so badly. Im not dressed as a guy, but I am a guy, and yet I still get to retain some femininity from the name.
Is this making sense to anyone?
Feeling pretty and sexy, for me, is delightful... so smile!

What's in a name? A couple of things... first was my male name begins with 'R' so I wanted to have an association to that initial and secondly Renee always seemed to be a pretty name to me. I just added the '2Fun' because while I'm dressed I'm always having too much fun!
Lady Davida

Jessica13
01-16-2010, 01:52 AM
I picked mine because my mohter would have named me that if I would have been born female
Very interesting, this is the exact same reason I chose my name.
I was the last of three boys, so she never did get a girl (or at least the one she was expecting) :heehee:
Oddly enough, I was very petite and small through most of my childhood (up until my senior year in high school) so I always though Jessica fit me more. I always liked it, and it has stuck with me. I think it suits me very well, and shortened "Jes" pretty much works both ways.

Cute. Made me laugh... (Just because how one letter so drastically changed the word). I've done that so many times text messaging. Then when I txt a correction the other person will usually go "i knew what you meant"... like, why did I think they wouldn't or something. But not me, when I get mispelled words in a txt from someone I'm like... what does THAT mean? (duh).

Marissa
01-21-2010, 09:39 PM
Hope the mods are okay with this as I believe this is the place to post..
Since I joined this site, my name (Ms Cassey, like i have to state that..duhhh..) was based more on my daughters having names beginning with a C. As I've made my debut and other outings at clubs, I feel ackward in saying the name as it doesn't feel as its who I portray..
So last weekend as I finally honored my ex with a pic of me and she was quite surprised on how nice I looked (that was sooo great to get her reaction..anyway)..
She finally asked what my name was..after telling her, she felt the same.. so she suggested some names..and later said "what about Marissa?"
I thought about it..and even asked one of my daughters who thought it was such a pretty name.. well i was more looking to see if it fits me..
So my ex and daughter think it does..
So now i'm asking my sisters..
What do you think about the name Marissa for me?????
I'll consider other names and see if it strikes me.. but I don't want to make a name change and then have to reconsider it.. think its easier to go to the DMV (license place..lol) and get that change then it is to change a site name and emails, etc.. okay that was just me kidding..
Hope to get some nice feedback..
Thank you..
Hugs,

My girlfriend gave me my name Elvira because we both enjoy bondage and she is usualy the submissive and i am the misstress! We usualy have our fun and games at nightime, and that's where i get my name! Elvira "misstress of the dark"

I stole my name 'Jane' from one of my favourite rock bands - 'Jane's Addiction'. Seemed appropriate, and I like the name.

There's no reason other than I find Jessica to be a beautiful name.

In my case, Madilyn was a classmate of mine in 5th grade, the short story is I would go over her home to help her do her homework. She had few friends so we became very close. She already wore lipstick and stockings to school, I was in love ! Long story short, I became her little sister when no one was home. I so wanted to be her !! So I took her name. Thank you Madilyn where ever you are, your little sister..........Madilyn

I borrowed my femme name from a women I admired. She died many years ago doing what she loved. She was a powerful individual, who did not accept what society in the 60's and 70's felt a woman should be. She was a medical doctor when it was rare for a woman to be one, she was a boat captain of her own yacht, and she was a very competent Scuba instructor. She died from an air embolism after a scuba dive. She was one of the medical diving officers on the early saturation diving experiments by the USNavy. I borrowed her name as a way of honouring her.

I picked the name Alexis because it just sounded like a girl that has a lot of fun. It also sounds like a girl that is hot sultery. I am still trying to come up with a last name for my self.

I picked my name years ago, quite by accident. My middle name is Terry. I love to dress in miniskirts and see through blouses, looking rather ****ty. I equated ****ty as being shady? Thus Shadyterri.

My name is a tender subject with me. I first picked a different name for myself a few years ago. But it never really felt right. So I asked my mother what my name would have been, she told me Carrie Ann. I have been using it ever since and it feels so right and natural to me. I have filed with the State for a name change as well....:2c:

No special origin or meaning. It's just one of those funny names, but less obvious than a name like "Jim Shu". It doesn't exactly look funny when you read it, it's funny when you say it.
Don't believe me? Ask my brother Ben.
Bunny Girl Zoe

Never realy had one but as my female feelings are getting stronger I kind of going with Zoe. Do you lot think I am a Zoe.

Zoe is a nice name, and if you're comfortable with it then us lot will get used to it. So :welcom: Zoe
Gillian
01-29-2010, 02:23 PM
I chose Gillian, reason one after the most beautifully perfect woman I ever knew and the one who has left an influence on my femme persona, an Air Hostess by profession and if you met her, you WOULD remember her, and second, quirky enough, one that flows with my real second name so looked good in sound and on paper ha ha ha.

Ha! That's a good question!
First and foremost, I wanted to avoid the easy way out of feminizing my male name. I wanted something as far away from that as possible.
Plus, I guess I always liked Gabriella, it's fun, young, hip, glam, happy-go-lucky, kind of reflects my femme personality!

I was also aiming for this, but somehow my ideas of getting a name of Victoria, Samantha or such didn't really feel fitting for some reason.
So I chose Erica. My (male) name is not Eric, and it's not actually even that close, but still I consider that it was a bit leading.

It was a spur of the moment thing -- literally the first thing that popped in my head when I started on the MSN chat rooms a long time ago and someone asked me my name.
I remember it was very exhilarating to have a femme name.
Sara Q

Sara Q is actually the name of my ex girlfriend. So I simply took the name from her !

I went out with a dominant girl who gave me a girly name a different way. We put on a random porn and I was to get the first name that came up. Candi was the name she gave me. Anyone know if a good name to make from the name Ken besides the obvious of course...Kendra etc. This girl would often call me Kim if friends where around because it sounded like Ken so she could get away with it.

Yeah Kim's a nice name. And honestly I like it way more than Candi. Kim is more realistic

When I was thinking about it one time when I was dressed, I thought I wanted to look like this girl I used to have a crush on Amy, and the last name came from this girl who sits next to me in class, and she is amazing, last name Harper, so that's were I got Amy Harper from.
Leslie Mary S

I find that the name selction process very interesting. Many say the now have the name of the girl that got away, or inspired them,
Many of you feminize your male name, (I partly did too)
Then there are those who go to a totally different name for assorted reasons.
All and in all it has been very interesting.
For me Leslie is both a feminized version of my name and also my half-sisters name.
My middle name used to be Ann but I changed it to Mary in memory of a lady friend who passed away last year.
The last name of Shy is how I am. I tend to be an extrovert in public to hide my shyness.
But I have never used any of my two wives names.
Janet Louise (wife of 36 years - now deceased) or Joyce Louses - Divorced.
So keep telling all of us the source of the inspiration for your names.

I chose mine from a cousin I have. She often talked to me about my feminine side when we were young.
Mandy Burgundy
02-05-2010, 03:55 PM
I chose mandy cause it was convenient. (Just throw an M before my real name). However, someone at a botique just told me it doesnt fit and cause I have more of an exotic look and should go for a more exotic name.

I picked Lindsay because that's what my mother would've named me if I was born a girl. And I picked Clark as my last name because that was my first girlfriend's last name. My real name is Lance Churchill.
Tonya Stolenski
02-08-2010, 08:31 PM
well my male name is Tony, so i added an a. weird tho... when i was still REALLY young (like 12-14) i liked that name as well. i don't know what my mom would have named me if i was born female...lol maybe i will ask her one day for sheets and gigles. it's kinda hard tho cause sometimes i'll write Tony and start to put the a at the end and realize what i'm doing...opps lol. maybe it a good thing tho???

When I first started posting online, the name Felicity just felt right. Not really sure why. I didn't watch the tv show, but it may have somehow been an inspiration. Can't say. But I like it :)

I went decades without a girl's name. Every once in a while I would try out a name, let it roll around in my head for a time, but nothing ever seemed to fit. I tried the typical feminine form of my givin name, names of girls I had crushes on, etc. Then one day this past fall it just hit me, a bolt out of the blue. I tried it on and it fit perfectly. It bears no relationship to my given name or that of anyone I know or have known, but I'm really happy with my choice.:)

I took Alice in honor of my mother, I was her only child. She impressed me with her feminity and confess I experimented with her lingerie , undetected I assume. Until i had to ask for her help with a college fraternity task, dressing like a girl for a pledge party. She smiled and said shed help get me some things of my own as hers seem to strech out and move about her drawers lately. Off we went to her favorite dress shop owned by our neighbor. They went to town and in no time I had a corset, hose and black skirt&top. Stopped at Macys for a pair of pumps and on the day of the party, she took over and transformed me. Hair in curlers , painted nails for the first time. Styled my hair and had bought clip on earrings
Had a blast at the party and was by far the most overdressed pledge

I might have to ask for some advice. I've got a few possible names but I can't decide which one. I've tossed around the names Anastasia and Elizabeth. Anastasia after The Baroness from Gi Joe mythologies, of which I am still a fan some 20 years later. Elizabeth is after Elizabeth Hulette who was known simply as Miss Elizabeth from the World Wrestling Federation in the 1980's. Elizabeth was the epitome of class and The Baroness is the epitome of sexiness.

Karen Smith

it's similar to my real name, feminine in a genuine sort of way. There were a few particularly gorgeous Karens I've known in real life--perhaps I was going for bombeshell-by-association or something.

NatalieM
02-15-2010, 02:00 AM
I was originally thinking of using Natalya(always loved the name), but kind of implies being Russian, and I have no trace of it in my background, even though I'm eventually wanting to learn Russian. So closest name I could think of to that was Natalie, then I guess i had to choose a middle name so went with Marie, was another name I liked and it seemed to fit with Natalie, and I found out the other day(which is kind of awkward), my straight male friend(the one i came out to the other day), personally loves that name, so we thought that was pretty funny when I told him.
