My wife picked my name, including the maid part because originally when I explained my desire to cross dress it was part of a dom/sub game and she thought it appropriate for the scenario. Since then I've used it as part of my femme identity. Had I known what to expect from here when I signed up (I originally thought it was going to be another kinky site) I probably would have dropped the "Maid" portion and just been plain Bridgette, but there is already another here with that name.

My middle name is Terry, and always loved the name, so thought the female version of it would be Teri...Oh, and for those that are wondering, yes I am an older crossdresser and the numbers 50 after my name are the year I was born...(NO, not 1850...lol)

Shortened and cut version of my own name :)

Linda Stockings
02-26-2011, 03:35 PM
Linda is a variation of my unisex middle name, and I just plain like the name Linda. Stockings as a last name - well I love stockings, pantyhose, and tights, on GG's and on me. I wish I had thought of a classier last name though. -Love, Linda

Hi,
I am new to this Forum. I live in San Francisco and have been dressing since 13. I am 46.
I am not passable - but have never stopped indulging in this passion and the feelings it engenders in me.
I go by Evelyn and I am happy to be here.

Jessica because.....may sound weird and twisted, but that's what my sister called me when I was little. She wanted a little sister. Oddly enough, my first girlfriend....was a Jessica....and so was my third. Apparantly, I like the name, so I just said....well...here we go!!!

03-01-2011, 10:40 PM
Cindy was the name of one of my best friends in high school. I had a major crush on her but she had a long-time boyfriend and I didn't want to be "that guy". So I settled for friendship. I used to wonder a lot about what could have been. So that name has always had some mystery and romance to it.

I finally decided on Lennette Lost. Lennette was the front runner when I was taking a poll of names.I chose names that could be considered derivatives of my name. Lost is the English translation of my last name. I finally decided on a name when I was reading post about Facebook pages of alter egos. Haven't had time to put up Lennette's Facebook page yet.

I had been named Bridgette by my wife some 20 or so years ago. I wasn't super happy with it, but when en femme, I'm extremely submissive to my wife, so that's who I was...

A week ago, she said that she didn't like that name any more and was going to give me a new one. Yesterday, she sent me this IM at work: "I need Tatyana to come clean my house and provide other personal services for me." So now I'm Tatyana.

I like it a lot. It sounds kinda classy and has a sense of intrigue to it...

-Tatyana

Well my male name couldn't be feminized and my patents never decided on a name for me if I would have been born a girl so I went with the month I wad born -April. It seemed to fit me. Lynn just seemed like the perfect middle name, so that became my name. I offered to let my wife pick a new name for me after coming out to her, but she said that April was already me and she wouldn't want to change who I was. I'll admit that she is right-April does have her own personality.

I wanted to keep my same initials so I chose Helen because I think it sounds wonderful. It is the music that I want to here when en femme.

I think I just fell into it. I was looking at possible names and was just drawn to LeeAnn. I felt I needed a second name and remembered a girl in high school who was adopted and made Rose her new last name. It just seemed so new, so I went with it.

Hey! The reasoning behind my name is actually pretty simple my first initial is S so I wanted to stay with a name that started with it. And I grew up loving the name sabrina its very pretty to me so of course I decided that I would name myself that if I ever had the chance. :) so while I was looking through different ways of spelling it sabryna got my eye and I instantly fell in love with it. So yea that's it...pretty simple but I think it fits me pretty well

I picked mine because I would frequent a chat room site with my best friend as a girl and my best friend had to big of a mouth to call me by my screen name and would call me by my real initials AJ so in order to avoid having to come up with an excuse as to why she called me AJ instead of Kierra (my favorite name at the time i created the account) she called me Ashley Jones and now that is the name of my alter ego :)

Samantha W
03-12-2011, 12:30 AM
I have loved the name Samantha since I was a kid. I always thought I would name my daughter Samantha, but since I have no children I have taken it for myself.

I think it’s one of the most versatile names out there. It can be formal or playful, sexy or stodgy, masculine or feminine, long or short. All depending on your mood or situation.

And let’s not forget Samantha Stevens. That character is definitely one of my very early influences. :)

Byron
03-16-2011, 10:32 AM
Byron was the nickname a gf went by, she died in an auto accident almost 10 years ago.
She had a profound effect on my life, and her passing had a even more profound effect on my life.
Though I was a CD prior to ever meeting her, I had never thought to give the girl in me a name.
I took on her nickname as a sort of tribute after that.

Dianna_Mac
03-16-2011, 06:17 PM
Although I chose to spell it differently my name Dianna was taken after Queen Hippolyta who disguises herself as Diana Prince (Wonder Woman). I was 16 and decided I wanted an identity for my second self and Lynda Carter was absolutely amazing to me. Intelligent, athletic, strong but sensitive, and obviously beautiful (devine), everything I wanted myself to be. Amelia, my middle name was chosen many years later and whose meaning is “striving and industrious”. It symbolizes how I’ve survived and how I am now striving to understand and better myself by embracing who I am. On a lighter note, it doesn’t hurt their initials match my male name.

My mum always said that if I had been born a girl, I would have been called Alicia, so I guess that's the one. I seem to flit between a number of names though, I like Alison, I like a lot of other names too many to mention also. One day I may fix on a preference but for now anyway, Alicia seems to be a nice name to have....

Jannine
03-19-2011, 08:09 AM
Hi girls.

I chose my name because I had a small and Illegal crush on her once, I may have subconsciously dedicated my name to her. But I have always liked that name anyway. I think I am a Jannine! Another possibility was going to be Nerida, - after another (failed) relationship many years ago.
Gosh,...if you feel feminine, then you should chose a name that has a feminine charm, and chose carefully, because you really should'nt change it later on.

My wifes brother had called me Denise from the day he met me. I think he had a 6th sence about me but I never told and he never asked. He has passed on so I carry the name from him. The second part is what i have called myself as long as I can remember.

Amelia
03-22-2011, 12:36 AM
I thought about a name for a long time. I was tempted to go with a feminization of my boy name, but it didn't feel right. For the longest time I searched name websites, used name generators, and still nothing. Recently I was brainstorming with someone via email and came up with Amelia, which I really liked. I was told I should go for something more exotic, so I decided on Olivia. I was registering for a website and Olivia was taken, so I reverted to Amelia. I'm very happy with it.

I've always been in admiration of Amelia Earhart, so that's the inspiration for the name officially.

I don't really like the feminisations of my 'real' name; Andrea/Anne - not for me.

I've always felt Beth has a beautiful femine sound to it.

Cathy38c
03-26-2011, 03:38 PM
My mother's middle name was Catherine, and I like the name, so I chose Cathy38c, 38c being the bra size that I was 1st fitted with in Victoria's Secret.

Hi everyone,
My first name, Brynn, is a Welsh name meaning hill. It remkinds me that we all have I have a journey ahead and that one day, I will look down into the valley and finally see the sunrise. My last name, Ametza, is from the Basque, meaning Oak. It serves to give me the strength to conitue the journey. Both also combine for a slightly exotic feet, which appeals to me.

Duana
04-02-2011, 12:33 PM
I'm Duana because it is a modification of my middle name, Duane. I knew a Duana in 3rd grade. I like it because it is part of me, just like my feminine self, I think it is beautiful, very uncommon and sounds great rolling off my Latin girlfriends tongue with a Spanish pronunciation.

I always loved the name Alexandra but that was already taken when I joined CD.com. My second choice, Alex was also taken so I used alexs as my user name. The "s" stands for Santora. Alex Santora. Kind of has a ring to it. But truth be known I tend to refer to myself as Alex or Alexandra

Nia Hush
04-10-2011, 01:08 AM
I chose Nia partly because it was an anagram of my actual name, but also because it bears the meaning of "radiance" in Gaelic and Welsh along with "purpose" in Swahli, though it also shares roots in Celtic culture which suits me better. The character in my avatar is a Nia, from a Nintendo DS game called Infinite Space.

The "Hush" part is just pulled from a Batman villain's name. I just thought it sounded nice at the end.

I chose Jessica from a good friend of mine that I first "came out" to. Porter just sounded good on the end.

Misti
04-10-2011, 07:07 PM
I just want my inside and my outside to match. The real challenge is freeing ourselves from the brainwashing of society and our past. But to finally get a taste of letting our true inner self out to be free to come out and skip around, makes me want it that much more. I love getting high on life now, no other drugs feel so good.
---Myself
I love your saying, so, "Thank you" and "Amen to that," plus, welcome to, and enjoy, the forum, Jessica. Hugs,

Alyssa Marie
04-11-2011, 06:00 AM
I just wanted something very feminine that made me feel like a girl. I looked through name books until I came across Alyssa. I think it is unmistakably feminine. I've always liked the girls names that attach the first and middle name. so i tried matching a lot of middle names to Alyssa until I found Marie. I always introduce myself as Alyssa marie. not just Alyssa.

Well, I chose my name (which isn't shown as my name here) as Heather Nicole Blake. I chose Heather because I have always found it to be a beautiful name and Nicole, because I have a transsexual friend that I came out to who was very supportive and chose that as her first name and Blake to stay with my Celtic heritage.

Rebecca Cross Bracer
04-20-2011, 04:05 PM
Hello Everyone. I chose the various parts of my name for different reasons. I chose Rebecca because in college I lived with a girl that had the most amazing legs and always had on great footwear. Bracer is because I also enjoy wearing leg braces when I'm dressed. No real explanation for that, just something I like.
Rebecca

Julie Rose
04-25-2011, 08:34 PM
When she first was encouraged to dress and express herself, Julie was the first choice. That was in the mid '80s.
Julie never blossomed until 2002 when she first went out, then the choice was Miss Rose. (Natasha called me Missy, she calls all her girls Missy.)
It became Rose over the past five years, until just recently.
Julie is back, Julie Rose. Unless, she finally writes her novel, then it'll be Juiiette LaFleur.

Is it weird that I just use my regular name? Shannon. It goes both ways! And everyone already knows me by that name. So they just have to get use to my appearance only and not a name change!

Jennabug
04-25-2011, 09:30 PM
My female name is my female name, Jennifer. My screen name/handle Jennabug is an old family nick name. My mother's dad called me Jenna and my dad's dad called me Ladybug and someone when I was too young to remember combined the two into Jennabug.

Karenxd_melb

Like all other transgendered people I have a name for my female self – Karen. During my teen years I referred to myself as Julie. But from my mid 20’s I have been Karen. I named myself after a beautiful girl I fell in love with at college. She was young and sweet and beautiful and I do believe that was the closest I have ever been to being in love. We dated for nearly two years and she showed me tenderness and physical love that I still embrace today. Unfortunately I could see the writing on the wall. Where could this relationship ever go but down the toilet when she found out about me. How much pain did I want to give this young beautiful girl who was about to embark on her life’s journey. So being me, I took the option of pushing her away. I never told her that I loved her even though I desperately wanted to and I knew she desperately wanted to hear it. I dismissed it in a macho bullshit way but inside I was dying of shame and guilt. I pushed her away when she wanted to discuss the future- what future could I offer her? She didn’t really want much out of life, just a good husband and father when it was all said and done. Ultimately I pushed her away physically and emotionally until she could take no more and would break it off with me. I felt that giving her the power to break up would make it somehow less painful for her. Looking back I was cruel and thoughtless and was also demeaning to myself. She was engaged 9 months after we split up and has since gone on to live her life. I often wonder if she ever thinks of me, I know that I do of her constantly. So the end result of it was that I took her name in memory. Pathetic really but that is the truth of it.

Marsha Clark
04-27-2011, 05:47 AM
When I was Growing up at home my older brother would tease me and call me "Marsha" instaed of "Mark".
I liked the name... so I kept it.

Then when I was older and serving as the President of the Erie Sisters TG Group, a member asked if I was ever going to add a last name.

So, I ran a contest for the group to help me to pick a last name.
I wrote a short Bio about myself, my likes, dislikes and hobbies.

My main hobby is that I collect "Superman Memorabilia" and one of the member of the Group came up with the last name "Clark" for "Clark Kent".

I liked that name and I awarded a set of Avon Make up brushes to the Winner that suggested the name. That's how my name "Marsha Clark" originated.

By the way..
there are some that think I chose the name after the District Prosectuter "Marcia Clark" from the O.J. Simpson trial.
Although she was a "Little Hottie" I do set the record straight on this Question.

Hope you enjoyed my story...Marsha Clark

After revealing my inner feminine side to my wife, I asked her to come up with my girly name. She said "tiffany" because that's what she wanted her name to be when she was young. It sounded like a sweet name to me so I agreed. The fisher comes from the fact that I like to fish and I wanted to throw something in the name that was innocently masculine.

After revealing my inner feminine side to my wife, I asked her to come up with my girly name.

That's a really good idea. If I didn't already have a name, I would try that with my wife to make her feel more included.

I picked mine for two reasons. Tabitha is a female porn star I enjoy (always came across as classy) and Valentine is a name I was considering for a daughter. Random, I know.

My guy name is Tony, but I'm wanting a different girl name.

Taylor Skyrim
05-11-2011, 02:29 PM
I choose Taylor as my first name because all the way up to my birth I was called Taylor and then I was born a boy.
I choose Skyrim as my last name because it is the main setting of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and that game comes out on my 21st birthday and I like how the my name sounds.

I just changed a few letters in my real name and liked the sound of it...

Cindy77
05-12-2011, 02:02 PM
I just figured you can't go wrong with Cindy. All the Cindy's I have ever met I wanted to sleep with, so maybe that means I'm sexy too. Also when I was first introduced to AOL, I had a handle name Cindy too. And tons of guys wanted to talk to me.

I'm also very open to change it as I explore this side of me more. There are plenty of hot, sexy and feminine names out there.

BritneyChandra
05-12-2011, 08:23 PM
It has been several months since I posted anything. What better way to get active again then by starting with my name??? :battingeyelashes:

Unfortunately, the name has stuck but this girl has never managed to fully accept it as an identity (always looking for the perfect name that feels like me?). So, tonight I think I'll post some pics of me all dressed up and glamorous with nothing to hide and see what names anyone can suggest. I am a firm believer that names have deep meaning and define your personality and much more. Sometimes I think I can guess someones name based on appearances - it seems like magic. I don't know. Or it probably is the fact that no-one has ever really named themselves - from nick-names to surnames, they are always given. Without being given a name it just does not feel right.

How Britney Chandra appeared and has since existed for the past two years: (or, how I accepted my cross dressing and desire to be feminine as much as possible)

What's in a name? Well, as soon as I came to terms with CDing and quit tossing out my clothes everytime I started to feel guilty about it I had to take the next step - every lady has a name and identity so it was time I began building mine.

I'm a very geeky girl, and any of you who know Sci-Fi, Stanley Kubrick, or Roy Schieder from Jaws may recognize where my last name originated. I loved Arthur C. Clarke as a kid. The two series that I would read cover to cover every summer as my folks carted me across the country on family vacations were 2001 A Space Odyssey (which includes 2010 and others... both were were great movies but before I was allowed to watch Kubrick I had to read the book.) and the Rama series (Rendezvous with Rama is the first book).

So the Cat's out of the bag! I stole my last name from HAL9000's programmer. Kinda strange for someone trying their hardest to be feminine but then again I could always strive to be the cool hot chick that hangs out and plays video games with the guys... In the end it's all a tab bit ironic I am a sofware developer or "programmer" as the older crowd calls it.

Britney as my choice of first name is just a total wreck, shrug. I mean, I had to get a name or I wouldn't be who I wanted to be right??? So I thought of something that was first of all sexy (like a pornstar's stage name but respectable), second it had to sound young and hip just like me ;), and finally - slightly bimbostic (? is that a word???) but delicate like a flower. Something you can grab onto and hold on for a wild ride but still professional and reserved.

Sorry for the long post - it's really been wearing on my mind and I am sooo thankful to be able to share. All comments are welcome, or if you want to help let me know! I think I'll google some ladies famous in technology like Ada Lovelace for some ideas - who knows maybe tonight I will be given a name that fills a deep hole :).

All the best to everyone!

Huggs,
-Brit

Hi, i picked my name by signing up for second life.

cardigansissy
05-16-2011, 08:57 PM
I haven't decided on one name, but have a shortlist. One is Rebecca, which is spanish for cardigan, which perfectly describes my favourite item of ladies clothing. The others on the shortlist are feminine names that couldn't be confused for men's names, in full or abbreviated form: Pamela, Pam, Susan, Sue, Susie, Elizabeth, Lisa, Beth, Betsy, Jennifer, Jenny. I've also considered names that have the same initials as mine, so that my credit card, etc. would still make sense. Any of these suggestions sound girlier? Or I'd be grateful to hear more feminine suggestions.

Reyna Roland
05-24-2011, 01:15 AM
I came up with "Reyna Roland", as soon as I heard it in my head, I knew it was the name for me!

I'm new to all of this, but I have known for quite a while that my parents thought I was going to be a girl till about 2 months before I was born, and for a long time they had Emily picked out. Since I'm not really a big fan of that name I chose a close derivative, Emma. And for a last name I wanted to use something of a character I love from TV. Since one of my favorite shows is How I Met Your Mother, I wanted to use a derivative of Robin, so I ended up with:
Emma Robyn

Kim is my given name...oddly enough, one of my GG friends (I'm not officially out to her yet) started calling me Marta several years ago, when she made me an unofficial member of her girls club. I rather like the name, but stick with Kim nonetheless.

There was a girl in my high school named Adrienne. I did not just want to look like her, I wanted to be her.

She was always perfectly dressed--always dresses or skirts. She wore two-inch kitten heels, which were strictly forbidden, but everyone, teachers included liked her so much no one enforced the rule. She wore makeup as many HS girls did at the time, but she did not overdo it...SHe often wore a bow in her hair, too.

She was nice to everyone and hung out with every group of kids-"cook" kids and not so cool She was genuine and popular with everyone...and God was she pretty....

Back in January of 1974, when I was twelve, TIME magazine ran an article entitled "Prisoners of Sex". It told the story of Rachelle McAdam, a Utah teacher who was fired for being transsexual. While I had been aware of the existence of SRS this was the first time I had a real person, with a real life, who had done what I dreamed of doing. She became my hero. Though her name is probably pronounced "rah shel", I read it as Rachel. And Rachel I am today.
You can find the article on the TIME website. But the picture that originally ran with it is not included, so I am posting it here.

Erika_bagels
06-19-2011, 08:04 AM
My first name is Derek, so Erika just kinda happened one night. It stuck, and now that I think about it, I've always admired (and had a crush on) pretty much every Erika I've ever met, so I'm happy with the name.

Mine came from a girl I new and secretly loved about the time I left school. We knew each other for a number of years and she became a very good friend and the GF of a good friend of mine before moving away. We met through my GF so she was out of bounds "sigh". She had a lovely curvy woman's body and was just a fantastic person. If I were a woman I'd want to look and be just like her. I loved her name so when I decided on a girls name for me the obvious one was Natalie.

I legally changed mine to a feminine nickname of my birth first/middle names, already used widely by friends and family and my sorority sisters in college to maintain initials and nicknames. My burlesque stage name "Chelsea" was a close 2nd choice for my legal name.

Mine is so close to my real name that I have always answered both when they are called anyway, Keith to Kath was picked for me thougsooooooooooo long ago havn't seen any reason to drop it. Surname is my Mothers maiden name

AmyGaleRT
07-05-2011, 10:42 PM
I asked my mother, in the course of talking with her about how she picked our names, what name she'd have given me if I'd been a girl. She had only boys, so she never got to use the girl first and middle names she'd always loved, "Amy Gale." Now, at least, those names have a home, if a slightly unconventional one. (I don't know if this is the spelling she would have used..."Gale" works better for me than "Gail" does, I think. For that matter, she might have meant "Aimee" for the first name, but I kept that simple.)

My last name is from my mother's mother's maiden name. Grandma might have had a hard time understanding all this, but she passed a number of years ago...

My other middle name, "Ruth," is the name of the first human avatar shape Linden Lab created for Second Life. For awhile, there was a glitch that sometimes happened when you teleported around that might cause you to show up with, not your shape, but Ruth's, at least temporarily. We called it "getting Ruthed." :D

Someone misread my name, Gene, into Gin-AY, and once I spelled it Ginnae, then went to a haunted attraction as Ginnae, she kind of took it from there. I like her much more than me.

Stacey Summer
07-06-2011, 08:02 AM
I have admired every girl I've ever met called Stacey so it felt natural that my name should be that and I've always liked the name Summer.

SamaraS
07-06-2011, 06:33 PM
Like Kimberly Marie, my mother told me when I was young that she would have named me Samara Suzanne if I was a girl. Having taken that name would have horrified her since she caught me once dressed and read me the riot act. On the other hand, she passed away last year and I find it comforting that I should choose the name she picked for me.

Aynthem
07-07-2011, 08:40 AM
My female name is Ayn Ryan. I took Ayn because of Ayn Rand is a favorite writer. But I always liked to pronounce it Ann. I took Ryan because it is similar to my male last name, but also because it is the last name of a TG woman who has been my inspiration and my confidant and like a mother to me. So since she thinks of me as her daughter, I took her last name.

The handle I use here is just that, a handle. It's simply an amalgamation of Ayn and my favorite Ayn Rand book Anthem.

Shelley
07-07-2011, 09:22 AM
All of my usual names were taken. So I tried my wifes name and It worked Since I love her the most I am proud to use her name. Just dont tell her!

DebbieL
07-07-2011, 11:55 PM
I had an unusual male name, and I wanted a simple name so that if people started talking about both people, it would be easier to talk about Debbie and not generate excessive interest. I'd had several close friends and two lovers named Debbie, decided that using that name would honor them. The last name, Lawrence, is my mother's mother's mother's maiden name. Eunice Lawrence married a circuit preacher but he ran off with the organist, so she and her sister Cora, went to Montana, where women were allowed to own land, and home-steaded together. When they reached the end of their 7 years, they knew that the cowboys and the railroads would try to burn them out, so they took a picture of themselves, one holding a shotgun, the other holding a double-headed axe, each straight out with their arms fully extended (remember it took 15 seconds to get a good picture in those days). They got one where the ends of the equipment was really clear and sharp and wrote "you-all come by now" - and posted it on the saloon wall. No one wanted to touch them. When one of the railroad men tried to propose to Cora, she said "I wouldn't trust you as far as I can throw you, let's find out how far that is" - she threw him 20 feet into a horse trough, and she told him that if he ever got closer than that, the next time she threw him, she wouldn't pick such a soft landing spot.

The irony is that when Cora and Eunice were home-steading, they weren't allowed to go into town wearing pants. The only wore dresses when they went into town. Almost like they were F2M transgender? What better heritage for my Femme Name.

Meredy
07-08-2011, 06:00 PM
I'm embarrased.
My female name is Janice (not Meredy).
Needed a name and chose them from a phone book, though I do like Meredy better, may be time for a name change!

Adriennegrl
07-10-2011, 03:34 PM
I'm trying to decide on mine now. I could actually use my male birth name as it's used for both sexes. I may use the more feminine spelling but some women use my actual spelling too. Choices...

Beverly
07-12-2011, 08:40 AM
I chose Beverly after seeing Beverly Sills when I was 14. I thought she was so beautiful with her large breasts, auburn hair, big made up eyes, red lips, long red nails, I wanted to be and look just like her.

Brandi layne
07-14-2011, 08:29 AM
I've always liked the name Brandi and my middle name would have been layne if I was born a female

joanncd
07-15-2011, 03:35 AM
I us Joann, as I know nobody with that name, and it is very close to my male name.

stonec657
07-15-2011, 06:24 PM
i chose Arianna because i have never met anyone with it and it sounds so exotic and sexy

TeaganNataliaAcheson
07-15-2011, 07:02 PM
I chose Teagan for a first name because I always really liked it. It was between that and Talia, which I also really liked. Well, I chose to put the 'Na' in front of that and use it as my middle name. Teagan Talia just didn't sound right. Then as for my last name, Acheson, I found an Irish name I liked because I am Irish. Also important to note, as I plan on being one hott mama after HRT and surgeries, it was important that my initials were Tn'A bahaha!

Mine kinda has a story. So back when i was a baby closeted crosdresser I was talking with some gay men and they all said.. you should try doing drag. I decided to take a Drag family name of silver and the first name Bambie as it was trashy.
(Bambie Silver)

After realizing that a drag family is only good for me if they help me I decided to drop their moniker and create my own name. Seeming as everyone always called my Barbie by misreading my name, I thought.. why not take barbies last name. And be Barbies Drag Sister the family doesn't talk about. And at that point whilst drunk on one too many tequilas I changed my last name to Summers. Thinking that was barbies last name. (Bambie Summers)

About a month later when introducing myself to a new friend when out i said the whole spiel about being Barbie's sister.. and they said.. hey bozo.. Barbie's last name isnt Summers.. its Roberts... In which i face-palmed and went out searching for a new name.

As a child i had asked my mother what she was gonna name me if i was a girl ( as you all prolly all did) and she always said Savannah. A very pretty name.

I then asked her as an adult with a name crisis going on what my full name was going to be ( she isnt aware I am a cd)

she Stated:
Savannah Bambie-Lynne

In which i gasped. and Decided.. thats my name!

Savannah after her favorite place (Savannah Georgia) Bambie after her deceased best friend Fawn (she thought bambie was a cute way to remember her) and Lynne after my grandmother.

So I was born:

Savannah Bambie-Lynne Summers

My older sisters would tease me about how girly I was using the feminine variation of my boy name. They we also the ones that started me dressing by making me were girl clothes when I was preschool age. Wonder what they would think if they knew I wore panties everyday.

StarrOfDelite
07-16-2011, 11:47 PM
My Femme name is Ingrid Angelica Walsh. For some reason, I tend to use Starr in the handles I use on websites. I would have used my femme name, Ingrid, on
Crossdressers dot com, but when I signed up I didn't realize it was a serious forum for discussing gender issues of all sorts, and neither a hookup nor a fantasy story board such as the Adult Friend Finder or Literotica Forums.

Sorry that it took me a cuple of years to realize I'd never previously listed my name on this site. Mea culpa.

07-18-2011, 01:40 AM
Just like the first post in this thread, I chose my name (Jennifer) because it was the name my mom had for ke if I were born a girl. I've been using the last name "Luna" because it represents femininity to me. Women are more in tuned with nature. And I think it sounds pretty :)

I had a really neutral name earlier since I was using "Autumnrain" but that was only because I was hoping that me and my SO could come up with a real name for me together...

It's taken us about 2 weeks or something, with lists being made, names being erased and new ones coming on them, can't be to old fashioned, not to much like porn stars etc... but we finally ended up with this one. We both feel it suits me pretty good, it's pretty in the long version but we usually cut it down to a simple "esme" when we're discussing something like clothing etc.

Feels really good to have a real name, and my SO really wanted to have it to get the two of us more split up! not me and her but me and Esme!
I can see the logic, the more separated it is the easier it gets to handle, for both of us...

So, just wanted to say hi again! and let everyone know it so they don't think Autumn has been locked up somewhere

Ruthi

I chose the name Ruthi because it was the name of my first girlfriend when i was seven

Nylon Erin
07-25-2011, 10:14 PM
I think your new name should be special to you and you should sort of identify with it. I went with Erin beacuse my name is the Male version any way and I like it.. So that was easy.

Cally

I recall when we had to come up with a name for our kids. I always counted on some sort of sign or omen to maybe attach meaning to the name we chose, or maybe something relative to the situation...

For my own name, I like Cally. The inspiration was a character from scfi who had similar big hair.
Now that's deep huh?

My name is Elisabeth Ann

07-29-2011, 04:25 PM
I choose the name Mary along time ago, a girlfriend of mine said you look like a Mary. And so the name. and she still is a good friend that's way I can't changed it. I like the name Jasmine, but it would brake her heart if I change my name

I haven't exactly decided yet >:. My name here isn't exactly one I'd chose, because it looks a little too fantasy-ish for my tastes. I'm considering something beginning with an S: maybe Sasha, Samantha or Sophia. All seem regal, classy and intelligent.

Mine is Jess simply because when i was starting out a girl called Jess helped me out a lot and helped me realise who I truly am :)

This was very easy for me. My parents named all of us kids with "M" names. So if I had been born a girl, I would have been named "Michelle." About 10 years ago, there was a TV show about vampires. The main character's little sister was named "Dawn." I have since always loved that name. Coincidentally, the name of the actress who played Dawn is also Michelle. Her nickname in the series was Dawnie.

susmitha means the lady who smiles beautifully. when dressed up. i am more beautiful than my wife and sisters.

Couldn't remember what my Mom said she was going to name me if I'd been a girl, and didn't want to just go with the feminized version of my given name. "Deanna" just kind came to me out of nowhere as something sufficiently girly, yet it's not too far off from my given name :D

Easy for me - sexy woman I admired at my first job - all the qualities I wanted to emulate.

Annaliese
08-05-2011, 10:23 AM
I started with Ann that is what my name would have been if I would have been born a girl. Then I change it to Anna, the final change was to Annaliese which I love and I think it fit me and it is a name I got form a Barbie Move.

Quite simple, It sounds VERY close to my male name. That way when someone addresses me I will respond.

Mrs Roads
08-05-2011, 08:34 PM
Me its Ms. Rocki Roads (the woman/adult entertainer that inspired me to embrace my female self - she is the woman I totally strive to look exactly alike to the point I ordered a custom wig in her hair style) or at times Diana Prince (Wonder Woman's alter ego :) So I have 2 female names depending on my mood!

It just seemed like a natural progression, as if the male and female names belonged together anyway............michael/michelle!

Stacey Rae
08-07-2011, 03:41 PM
My wife and I talked it over about 3 years ago. "What is your Lady name hun?" she asked. I thought about it for a few hours, the told her "Stacey Rae". Here's the reason; There was this girl I went o elementry school with, her name was Stacey. She was the "COOL" to hang out with. As we got older and moved on through the years of high school she became one of my best friends. In a tragic accident she lost her life as I lost a friend. So after her I am Stacey. As for the Rae part. My mother-in-laws middle name. I just loved the way the two name fit, so here I am, Stacey Rae.

Mine came from a name I was going to give a daughter. Never happened tho.But still loved the name.

Jennifer B
08-07-2011, 08:27 PM
I went from Lisa to Sandra to Sarah, but settled on Jennifer because it just feels right.

Kaitlyn26
08-07-2011, 08:31 PM
I chose the name Kaitlyn because I liked both the full name and the shortened versions Katie, and Kate. Elissa was a close tie for second but then everyone would call me Lisa and I would hate that.

SophieCD
08-08-2011, 04:43 AM
I was torn between several names. I wanted something very feminine but also one of the timeless, classic names. I like Rebecca, Rachel, Claire, Sarah and Lucy but settled with Sophie.

I chose the name Rebecca because I think it sounds sexy as well as sophisticated.

New to this so still coming to terms with it all, but just created as account on ebay which includes the name Becky. So that seems to be the name I will go with if my personality continues which is a name I have always liked. It was that or Charlotte although I guess I could change at any point. :)

Hmm, when I was younger I wanted my name to be Tiffany Jewel, but that doesn't tickle my fancy anymore.

Maybe Ashley or Barbara?

Clearly I still need to think about this.

Rosemary Jane
08-17-2011, 06:13 PM
For years, I have been using Janey. Some time ago an old and dear GG friend who was comfortable to go the dinner with Janey answered the phone when I called with "Hi Rosemary" ( a friend of hers as she was with family). I was so smitten with her calling me "Rosemary" that I decided to add it and now am Rosemary Jane!

Really a simple choice after much thought. LOL. I'm in the late summer stage of life, aka "Autumn", and with the good graces of age and wisdom through this pink fog that envelopes us, have finally found my inner core of feminity, hence "Dawn".
Best wishes all ~ Hugs

I've really taken my time as I did not want to rush into it, but I've just decided today to go with the name Kara. :)

I was graced with a nuetral name at birth, Thanks Mom! I had never giving it much thought since I stayed stealth when dressed and if shared I would always play it down as not an issue. Though over the last few years when I let it out more and embraced the fact, I realized I didn't need to change it cause I was just being me... If I were to choose another name though it would be a hard choice between Dominique or Crystal Marie...

Katie83
08-22-2011, 03:32 AM
If i'd been born a girl, my name would have been Lucy. Thats now my sisters name. I chose the name Katie because it's a name i loved for a long time. Thought about Keira too, but went for Katie as its more mainstream.

Daedalus
08-24-2011, 07:03 PM
I'm completely new to CDing and have not done it in public yet and so I don't have a "female" name picked out yet. I did however just move across the country and in doing so chose a new MALE name for myself - Dade (short for Daedalus). I was thinking of using my birth given male name which is Chris for my female name. Maybe spell it a little different to make it more feminine. I think that would be fun and wonderfully ironic.

Miss Maxine
08-24-2011, 07:17 PM
I picked Maxine because I've always liked the name and identified with it. Not sure why I identify with it; I just feel it suits me. I'm starting the process of legally changing my name to Maxine, actually. My given name is Juan Manuel. Nobody calls me Juan! No one ever has! Not even my mother! I've always gone by the nickname for my middle name: Manny. In recent years, my friends have started creating their own nicknames, for me. Since I don't like either my first or middle name; I have accepted almost all alternatives, to it. Legally changing it to Maxine is pretty exciting, though! I can't wait. Some people have already taken to calling me Max, which prevents some confusion, given the androgyny of the name. ^_^

When I joined ASCD back in 97 there were too many Michele's. Being original ( as I always try to be ) fell back on April...my birth month. The Mae came from April (may) be standing right net to you, and you (hypothetically) wouldn't know I dressed. The Flowers came from me "Blooming" into the person I had become. The net was NEW in 97 and I didn't, and still don't understand everything you can do with a PC. I posted my opinion on a LGBT issue "abC KNEWS" and the feds showed up in that NG and put the brakes on the whole thing. They also put a "Trojan Horse" in my PC and wiped everything I had been associated with. But I still live on...

My full female name is Cynthia Katherine Davis. It is nothing like my male name and I chose it because I like the way it sounds. I like my initials, CKD, and I like my nickname CK. I thought about the whole name thing for a long time and eventually decided that choosing a name "just because I liked it" was the best choice.

Jessica Winters.

The name Jessica has always been one of my favourite names... and it's the name my Aunt always called me when teasing me. In the end though, when I first began thinking I would like to crossdress, it stuck and I've used it whenever I wished to use a female name.

'Winters' comes from online roleplay; It was the surname of my friend's character, whom mine was to be the sister of... now, some 6/7 years later I use it for myself. Funny how things work.

Kelsey D
08-26-2011, 04:59 PM
Kelsey Danielle. I always liked the name Kelsey. I know a Kelsey, and like to imagine if I were her when I dress up (hope this doesn't sound weird). She is really pretty and not too feminine, but still girly. She has dark hair and a nice natural body, a little bit of a belly that I have. I think our feminine figures are similar. So I guess I named myself after her. lol

Danielle is just a basic name I thought of that matches my actual middle initial. So, hi I am Kelsey Danielle. :)

Raychel Torn
08-26-2011, 07:17 PM
My wife likes to just call me her "little ****" (in a loving way), but it was a little hard to talk about my fem identity in public that way we Raychel. I bet you can't guess what my real name is. LOL

Samantha171
08-27-2011, 10:58 AM
Samantha.

No real idea why, but I've always liked that name. Plus it shortens to Sammie, which I really like as well. And also to Sam, which is pretty gender neutral, which I also like.
Haven't decided yet on any other names, or even if I want to give myself any other names.

katieann
08-27-2011, 06:17 PM
I liked the actress Katie Stuart, and before I looked her up on IMDB, I thought of "Katie-ann" (I found out later her middle name is Ann). It took about five econds and I thought of Elizabeth.

So Katie-ann Elizabeth.

Now it's not to say that I haven't thought about other names, but I like this one the best.

Mine was simple as it would have been my name if I'd been born female. (My mother always told me she thought I was going to be a girl when she was carrying me and she thought I had more feminine traits than most boys when I was growing up. If she only knew!)

Sina
09-01-2011, 06:12 AM
my first choice for a name was something with a "j", like Julia or Judith. but after a couple of days I choose Sina. Don´t no why, it felt good.that´s it.

BlondeFarrah

No mysteries with my choice....just a tribute to my beloved Farrah Fawcett. She was my first sexy - female image in my life.

Jessica Ames
09-01-2011, 04:01 PM
Growing up, I always was attracted to Jessica's. I've always thought it was cute! It was an easy choice, although I think using the name that you would have gotten, if born a girl, is a cute idea too. I would have been Brittany, but that's not me, I'm Jessica.

BlondeFarrah
09-01-2011, 04:08 PM
Oh, Jessica is VERY cute!!!!!

My name Lexi was chosen by me and my ex-wife because we felt that I was a lot like the character Lexi Gray on gray’s anatomy in personality anyways. I’m still up in the air with a last name but I am becoming more interested in the last name of summers

Tara D. Rose
09-02-2011, 11:52 AM
I picked the name Tara when I was about 12 years old. It sounded very feminine and I had never known anyone named Tara at the time. I did think about it long and hard before I decided. I knew way back then that I had two very distintive different personalities as different as night and day. Still, today, there are not many Tara's but, latley, I've been seeing one or two more Tara's come about. My wife calls me Tara sometimes.
Love & Respect........................Tara

I have always used Johanna to label my Photo File of me Crossdressed or Nude Tucked. My Mother always claimed she had no middle name but when I was going through her papers I found her Birth and Baptismal Certificates with middle name Sophia. I thought Sophia was cool even if she did not. Johannas is a frequent man's name on my Mom's side.

I just dropped some letters from my name and got Ellyn

Kris83
09-04-2011, 07:29 PM
I chose Kristin (Kris for short) because it's not a huge departure from my real name, and I've had people accidentally call me Chris before, so I figured it would be easy to adjust to. Honestly, I'm actually looking forward to changing my name to Kristin. :-)

alexisDFW

I chose Alexis not sure why, definitely girly, makes me think of a small petite blonde... and I'm a 6'4" dude :) guess I like contradictions.

09-05-2011, 06:09 PM
Well I'm new to crossdressers but have been experimenting for a few years and decided 2 days ago that Jane should be creeated, not very dissimilar from my given name so if I ever chose to take it to the next level and venture out of the closet the transition wouldnt be too hard, still a lot to learn about as yet though

Mine is a female spelling of my name. The other name I use, April, is what I may change over to entirely, as this is the name I would have been given if I were born female.

I have yet to come up with a female name for myself, not sure how I should go about it, I like a lot of names but I'm just not sure what would fit me best.

Aki Aizawa
09-07-2011, 12:37 AM
Mine is an Amalgamation from a couple of anime characters, Aki Hinagiku and Miyabi Aizawa. I liked the way that Aki Aizawa sounds.

I have another name that I would like to use but its an anagram of my real full name and I don't really want to get outed by someone with too much time on their hands.

i know two bridgets - one was called bree and the other i knew as lady guinevere and they are both really loively people
bridgiit is not all that far removed from my own man name
