I chose the name of a co-worker...she's a real cutie pie!

06-20-2013, 10:28 PM
When I became serious about not only dressing but transforming myself (temporarily of course) I realized a name was something I might need. Anyways all dressed up in the mirror practicing my fem voice I was rehearsing for conversations my alter ego might have and I tried out a dozen pornstar quality names then Ashley came to mind and the sound of that name seemed to match the face in the mirror

I came up with Hallie from a girl that was a friend in a town that I worked in :) Very pretty too :D

I chose Kate, because I know a really strong-willed woman named Kate whom I admire a lot. Plus, I can make it Katie or Kat if I want to!

I chose my name because I have always liked the name Daisy and I thought Dell fit nicely as a sort of "last name"

Robin/Robyn

So hard to choose!

Mine is Jessica Stace because my name is Jeffrey Scott so I wanted to keep the same initials and I always liked the name Jessica. The weird thing is when I decided to us the name it turned out to have the same amount of letters in both names.
KarenAdellScot
06-29-2013, 11:29 PM
My mother named me Karen Adell, and raised me with the name for the first four years of my life. It is my earliest self aware identity, so it was natural to renew acquaintance with my wonderful name. It is like finding my oldest friend.
I chose the name Sejd because I felt that being a TG was something completely impossible to understand. In ancient times when the Vikings lived in what is now Denmark, the Shamans were called Sejdare, and the healing and magic they practiced was callded Sejd. It is also known that some of these Shamans were men living as women. It's a bit strange this name, and hardly anyone knows how to pronouce my name when they hear it, so I should maybe have chosen another more common name. However, I am content with my choice because it connects me to a historical reality and feels rooted. I live in that magic place between the genders and it is OK.

I bought a blonde wig and my wife started calling me Griselda for some reason I still dont know. I dont think she does either. Just before my bithday last week she said Eloise was a nice name. So it stuck.....
I picked Hannah as that's what my parents were going to call me If i was a girl (& now I am...sort of!)
I love the name Hannah.
I'd love to have the name Amber.
Annaliese2010
07-02-2013, 02:50 PM
I met a hot waitress at a Cony Island restaurant whose name was Annaliese. She was charming & sexy. So feminine and lezzie. She liked me. Was intrigued. Then she was gone. I hardly breakfast there anymore but...will forever remember our brief encounter.
She was so pretty and centered. So good yet trashy. Her name was unusual though charming. Lovely and lilting. It stuck with me. Moved me to change my name from Elise to Annaliese. A sort of consistency in that. Wouldn't you agree? Both classic and hip. Retro and modern i.e. she was 'The Sh*t'.
So it is. So it shall forever be. Pleased to meet you! Hello girls, allow me to introduce myself (hugs & kisses). My name is Annaliese. I'm a M2F Transgendered Lezzie. Proud of it too. I don't worry about who accepts me. Who doesn't. I am what I am. Don't need to justify. No worry or fuss. Life is for the living.
And I am ALIVE!

07-02-2013, 04:53 PM
Hi gals, I'm just coming out and chose my first name as Cassie May. I'm a cute little blonde hair blue eyed southern girl. I will be posting lots of pics soon once I get it down. But let me know what y'all think about my name, and if you have any ideas of a last name. Thanks, Cassie May:)
AmyGaleRT
07-02-2013, 11:41 PM
The name is cute, Cassie! (Can I call you Cassie? :) ) There's all kinds of ways you can go with a last name. For instance, I took mine from my maternal grandmother's maiden name, for realism and to symbolize my connection to my female ancestry. You might use your own maternal grandmother's maiden name, or the maiden name of another female ancestor. If you have a female figure you admire, either in life or in fiction, you could use their last name, too.

I tried to pick a name that worked for both male and female - Sammy. Samantha It has it's pros and cons, but I like it so far!
Christina81

I'm not sure why, but I picked Christina a few years back. I had been referring to myself as Stephanie before but changed to Christina. You can call me Tina, Chrissie or Christina. I dont mind. :)

"Finding a name" was a struggle. I really never gave it a thought until I was asked. There was an awkward moment then something stupid came out, I didn't like it but I kept using it despite not liking it. This time last year I had a moment of clarity and came up with Joan Foster. A simple and appropriate.
Joan being the female version of Joan, the name I use when I don't want anybody to know my real name.
Foster being a variant of some of the ways people have screwed up my name.

The name I use is the my real name which is used for a boy or a girl. i just shorten it for my male name.
Kirsty
07-05-2013, 10:34 PM
Not really sure where Kirsty came from... it seems to be a difficult one here in American lol people want to say Kristy :)
I can only point to a character from Shortland Street (a New Zealand soap) from when I was back home.. but I didn't really
her or anything so I don't know why I chose it...... I had to pick a name when I signed up for second life and it just popped into my head.
At times I have thought about a name for my female side proper.... but it just keeps coming back to Kirsty... so now I just
let it be... I kinda like the fact that it just happened rather than choosing a name, it's almost like she has always been here
and I was just waiting to discover her :)

As a child I had a crush on a cartoon character: Little Audrey, lol. Seriously. I collected as many of her comic books as I could find when I was young. And of course loved seeing her animated cartoons on TV. So when the time came for a name, I chose that in honor of her plus I really like the name. Miller was given to me by a GG friend when I first joined my support group. I felt it went well together.

Farrah
07-10-2013, 10:11 AM
I remember when I was 10 years old, I liked this cute girl one summer. However she did not like me, bummer. So when I finally gave my female persona a name, I decided to name her Farrah. I wonder how Farrah is doing now, that was 25 years ago.

I've only very recently needed a female name. I've gone for Isabella, as I've been reading about Isabella of France, sometimes called the she wolf of France! One of the original femme fatales.

Nice choice, Isabella! Of course, most people are going to think of the main character of Twilight with that name...especially if you go by "Bella," as she did.

I hadn't thought of that! Oops. Or maybe I did subconsciously and that's why I'm not smiling in any of the pics I posted, just like KStew or whatever she's called.
Jenessa
07-11-2013, 11:48 AM
I started as Jenelle. When I was 19 I started dating a girl name, you guessed it, Jenelle. In time I told her about me and as we continued to date the only real issue she had with crosdressing was my name. She suggested Jenifer, I rejected it as too common but I liked the "Jen" part but thought it was to short. She then suggested Jenessa, and I have used ever since.

Picking a name is difficult. Nikita was my first choice but it sounds too much like an adult entertainer so i chose the name April.
I just joined this forum and am glad to have been approved. Crossdressing is something i have been doing since my early teen years (30 years ago) but was never something i went full on (clothing, makeup, wig, Etc...) with until recently when i found myself with the time to explore. I have never branched out or communicated my desire. I am hoping to meet people like me who are open to talk about crossdressing.
Sorry if i posted in the wrong thread but i wanted to introduce myself to the community.
Thanks,

Hummm..... I had to choose a name for privacy, my privacy reasons, to be a part of a local transgender group. Oh, how I wish this wasn't an issue, I'm trying to lead a truthful life without a separate life. I'm just me, with a name I can not publically say for fear of all sorts of rubbish.
I liked the character on the TV show House and the name has vague connotations for what I do for living at the moment.

Jane Shannon
07-19-2013, 09:33 PM
In a way my mother choose my name. If I had been born a girl I would have been named Jane Shannon, so it seemed like the right name to choose when I decided to explore this side of life...

I chose Kimberly.
I've thought of a dozen female names, but most I'd rather give to my future daughter. I picked "Kimberly" because I swore my first crush was on a girl with that name, and I've never met in person any female since with that name. But my parents tell me I've never known any one with the name "Kimberly." So... Even better, I guess. Besides, now I can just say it's from the first pink Power Ranger. :p
Druscilla Supernovae

I never really thought about it to that extent. Since I like dressing in goth I guess a vampires name would be a good fit. Druscilla.

Well CD23. choose one, cause I'm tired of calling you cd23. Are you a statistic or part of a study or something?:heehee:.................:hugs:
I chose mine after my first real crush in my early teens. Her name was Dawn, she was 18 and staying at the same summer resort as my family & I. From the moment I laid eyes on her I was in love. She was very feminine & girly and loved to wear this gorgeous white bikini which she filled out perfectly. Part of me even at that early age wanted to be just like her and I've never forgotten her. So picking my name was very easy for me. I'm still trying to this day to honor her name by being as feminine & girly as she was! Plus, being a part time girl now allows me to strut my stuff in a white bikini of my own!

I haven't really picked one. Unless you're the pope, naming yourself really seems like a weird thing to do. My parents never had a girl's name for me, or at least that's what they always tell me (they did have one for my brothers by the way). That would have been the perfect solution.
My forum handle is just a fantasy name from my list of names I use for video games and such. It was the first one I could use here without having to use an extra number or something.
Tannis
07-30-2013, 01:14 PM
Tannis here. Not entirely sure how I came up with the name though. I kinda bounced around from name to name for myself, but nothing ever really felt like a fitting name. Then somewhere or another I noticed the name 'Tannis', and it basically hit me like a sack of bricks.
Further to that, I was never really sure what style of clothes I liked to wear, or what type of personality my 'girl mode' had. I was basically just screwing around with makeup and whatever clothes I had access to. After the epiphany, for lack of a better word, not only did I come up with a full name (Tannis Elizabeth Katherine *real last name*), but I chose a bra size (used to be just 'big'... Tannis is officially a B cup), a full personality, attributes, and just about everything that could describe her. I don't think this thread is really for going into more depth, but yeah... Tannis came about from a random epiphany, and spontaneously spiralled into a full-blown alter ego. I've ditched most of my old girl clothes and makeup, since they simply don't fit Tannis' style (outdoorsy type, practical, simple).
I suppose I should add to this, there may have been weed involved. I've taken to keeping a notepad with me at such times, and jotting down all of the amazing thoughts and realizations (actually kinda interesting... it's like a window into analyzing myself), and it was during one of those that all of this spawned from.
Allison Quinn
07-30-2013, 02:49 PM
When I first came out to my girlfriend with identifying as a girl I told her the name that I was sort of fond of :P
She ended up telling me that she thought it sounded like an escorts name to her and she disliked it and asked me to come up with others since she knew she would be calling me by the name.
I told her the others that also appealed to me and asked my mom in a roundabout way what she would have named me :P
I came up with allison with some of my mom's input and my girlfriend liked that :)
I've been living more as allison every day since then ^^

Same reason and to honor the same person that Christinac was honoring. Now I honor both of them because they both died way way way too young. Christina was 22 and Christinac as most of you know was 43 about to turn 44.

I's of the utmost importance to choose the correct name, or perhaps it's more correct to say it's of the utmost importance to avoid choosing the wrong name.
This simple fact has long been recognized, and agonized over by all the so called primitive peoples that circle the globe.
It's only the sophisticated lands that denigrate, make light of, or completely ignore the importance of calling something by its proper name.

The name I went by for a while (just myself and the wife) was chosen by the both of us. We were having a conversation about a ladies name that we could use as code ( is ?????? coming round later?) We chose it after looking up some info about the film Grown ups and chose the name of one of the award winning actresses. The name was/is Alexis (a-lex-ee)
Jasmyne

Jasmyne Rose
My wife's middle name is Rose, and she is one of the main reasons I was able to finally accept and embrace who I am as a CD, thus part is dedicated to her. We talked about names and I settled on Jasmyne, spelling with a 'y' as I like the look, as it seemed to pick me. I also like that both names also are names of flowers, which imply femininity.

I deliberated for quite some time over my name, in the end I opted to simply put an h at the end of my birth name, Lea, as I decided this was who I had been all along - the h turned the end of the name into an 'ah!' of realisation! :) To be honest it wasn't a hard decision as I had spent my whole life being told "that's how girls spell it" when it was noticed my name was spelled 'ea' not 'ee'.. and pretty much always felt they were somehow right.

Mine was a no brainer. When my mom was pregnant with me, they tried to find out the sex. The ultrasound tech was having trouble finding male anatomy (lol), and said she couldn't be 1005 certain but thought it I was a girl. My mom went through the remainder of her pregnancy thinking I was going to be a girl and had picked out the name Trisha Once I was born and there was a little surprise, they changed the name to Tristin. Even as a very small child, I can remember being called Trisha when I would play with my sisters dolls. The name just stuck.

I like both Trish and Alisha. And since they both have that "ish" sound, maybe you could start telling people "You can call me Trish, it's a nickname, but my real name is Alisha," and then gradually encourage people to switch over to Alisha.

Carol since it sounds a lot like my real name, plus i had a crush on a girl named Carol in Jr. High. I suppose I could use Rory (a name given to me by an online Femdom) since it is somewhat gender neutral.

When I decided on a female name I didn't have to think too long. I wanted a name I could easily respond to if my name was called out in a crowd. Growing up my name was Nicola, so I decided on Nicky, it sounds similar and I find it easily works for me.
So Nicky Prada is my name. and I am almost a Lady.

I think Samantha stuck in my head way back when I watched Bewitched as a child. Elizabeth Montgomery was simply that sexy 60's housewife witch that cast a spell on me to start raiding my mom's lingerie drawer. It certainly was the start that brought out the gurl in me

Brandilynn
08-21-2013, 04:04 PM
I remember when I was younger, there was this beautiful woman named Brandi that went to church with my family. She was skinny and tall, and there was never a time when I saw her without heels and earrings big enough to jump through. Her makeup was always on point, and her hair was always edgy, but very beautiful. She rocked asymmetrical bobs, blonde hair, black hair, curly, straight, braided and she even went with a military cut for a while. On occasion she would sing with the choir, and she had the voice only a strong, independent black woman could produce. She never got married, she never had kids, she had a career and didn't need anyone holding her back. I loved that about her. She moved to Atlanta a few years back to become a regional manager with her company, so I don't know what she's up to anymore. But I chose Brandi for her.
And then Lynn I chose (this is rather silly) because when I was younger I used to always watch "Zoey 101" and Jamie Lynn Spears just played the perfect teenage girl. Very feminine, very beautiful. Of course after a while she got pregnant and left the show, which I also really think is funny now that innocent Zoey had a secret ****ty side. So yeah.
And then I just put the names together to from Brandilynn.
Jennifer Now

For some reason, I like the name Jennifer. That name turns me on. Then, in church one time I heard a word that sounded like Anna. And thirdly, I like the way Taylor Swift looks. So Im thinking making my name a variation oh those: Jennifer Anne Taylor. Hows that sound?

I had originally adopted the name Max White (for its unisex quality) but soon changed it to Jessie White. I never used to like the name Jessie but have grown fond of it. Also I wanted a name that started with the same letter as my name - and I like the way Miss Jessie sounds.
And lastly, I chose the name White because, well... the White Stripes are awesome. And I think I was listening to Jack White when I was first choosing a name....

It comes from a TG comic book character and I adopted it for my writing pseudonym. It stuck ever since!

I always liked the name Jennifer/Jenny, and I always liked a certain beverage brewed nearby along side the Genesee River, hence my chosen spelling. The name suits me wonderfully!
Victoria Davison
08-25-2013, 11:08 AM
My girlfriend, who is the only person close to me who knows I CD, started calling me Victoria after one of our favorite beers, "Victoria Bitter". The rest is history...
Kathinja Galaxy
08-25-2013, 02:55 PM
Kathinja was the name of a female dragon-esqu character from a video game I played when I was about 7.. The game itself was the first time I consciously picked a female Heroin for the main character rather than the standard 'big guy with a sword' character. Kathinja was just a little side character, but when I saw her, and how she could freeze someone to stone with one look, well... I guess I fell in love, lol.
So here I am 15 years later, letting everyone believe I chose Kathrine and felt clever about adding a 'ninja' at the end.. When in reality, I identify as a powerful serpentine female who's look alone could stop you dead.. Hehe
Genesis
08-25-2013, 08:05 PM
Genesis is the name I chose for myself because I felt it was a new beginning for me. I felt alive and so full of positive energy when Jerry left and Genesis took over. Many call me Gen ( Jen ) for short.
First post. Yea! Since I am Indian, I wanted to choose something that reflected my ethnicity while still maintaing the simplicity of my male name.
Sandy Clifton
08-26-2013, 11:32 PM
My maiden name (Clifton) pays homage to Andy Kaufman's alter ego, Tony Clifton. Sandy is a nickname derived from a mythological figure with whom I identify.

Back when I was 14 or 15 , my first girlfriend had me try on a pair of her underwear when we were camping (drunk). I'll never forget it. It was a pink La senza Low rise talli bassi Thong. I tried it on for fun and we both laughed ( I loved it but never acted like it). She looked at my bum and said " my god you have a girls bum". At that time there was no hair of coarse. She laughed and said " we will call you melanie". I guess thats why I picked the name :) Was my first real experience with someone else other then myself.

Before I would join this forum, I wanted to have a female name. And so after a few days playing around with the idea of Serena from Gossip Girl, I ended up with Selina... I'm very happy with that name, it sounds so girly :P

I've always had an affinity for my first name and consequently it was to be my brother's name had he been a girl. My middle name just sort of seemed to flow with my first name so I kept it. I got it because I decided to just be me. :battingeyelashes:

Know a few ggs named Amanda and they are all very feminine so since I aspire to be as feminine as possible when dressed it gives me a visual of how I want to look and act.
Tara Power
08-29-2013, 11:48 PM
Saw this thread and it hit me,my female persona doesnt have a name. Thought about it for a day and settled on Tara Power and now have an identity. I think Tara is a sexy name and Power because I dont know, just rolls off the tongue for me, a bit different, not plain jane, but not pornstary with loadsa x's Im somewhere in the middle I think! Well I hope so.
Bobbi Soxxx
08-30-2013, 04:14 PM
I chose my name for a couple reasons, my boy name is Bob, so Bobbi works easily, when I was still doing Drag shows I wanted something that stood out, I tried a few different names, but kept coming back to Bobbi Soxxx, a baseball player my whole life i found it to be a name i could be introduced as for a show, yet it fit with My life and Loves. I use this name for most things CD. I have a Transformation Business, male to female, in my home, and find the name Bobbi Soxxx works for that as well, the triple x's allow a certain sexual edge to it, yet can be easily explained. If I am in an Exotic frame of mind I do use other names as i feel like.

Hey Tara, love your name too, sounds very familiar lol Im so glad that you think the whole name comes together, I love writing it down, which i posted on another thread. Feels better than writing my own name. Funny thing is that with my accent, I would pronounce it as "Parr".

I went with Jennifer for a number of reasons, main one being it's similarity to Jonathan in sound and it won't look too odd if someone shouts it out across the street!
Nikki 1984

I decided on Nikki because I like the way it sounds and it's close to my name already.

I have 3 names, really, but as for the one I use on this site, I don't really know where mine came from, but apparently it's the name of a queen in Europe. It just kind of came to me.
I also have another name (Dolly) which is taken from a story one of my friends wrote. There is also a third name, which is kind of punny [no typo], that I use as a pen name for various purposes.
Dalva
09-05-2013, 11:48 PM
My name comes from the title and character of a Jim Harrison novel. She (Dalva)is a strong, independent beautiful woman. Ever since reading that book several years ago, the name stuck with me. I was so enthralled with the character.

Lady Mandy
09-06-2013, 04:11 PM
I had been thinking on names & couldn't pin one in particular down that I just really had to have. My wife liked the name Amanda & it just kind of stuck - I like it as well & had other ideas, but it sounded good & is the title of a song that I like so we decided on Amanda/Mandy. The reason I'm "Lady Mandy" here is simply because Mandy was already taken.

This is so much how I feel. I'm the same me no matter how I choose to present myself.
Also, because I don't want to offend anyone, I certainly don't think there's anything wrong with choosing a femme name - I just choose not to.

So here it goes! When I was in my twenties my buddy and I hit a lot of strip clubs. There was this one girl who danced at one club in particular whose name was Bianca, I have to tell she was SUPERBAD! She had this kind of naughty elegance about her that I never forgot and that's the kind of attitude I want to bring out in my look. She had this whole naughty nurse gimmick, funny that she is a doctor now. I guess dreams really do come true.

I never thought about even having a female name until i joined this site a couple weeks ago. Kati was actually something i was given years before cross-dressing. K D are my first 2 initials so my sister actually laughed when we were kids - your initials are Kati. Now when shopping i can ask - would Kati like this cami... Yes she would.

A few friends know that I go out dressed. I've used a few names over the years but was looking for something new to start my life in Tokyo. Went out one evening for dinner and drinks with a group of friends. When the topic of my name came up, a female friend from Spain just looked me up and down and said, "You look like a Veronica." Sounded good to to me!

If I had been born a girl I would have Sarah Christine, but honestly my CDing is about what I want not what my parents wanted for me. Fully dressed, I am Abigail Alexis, Abby for short. Someday when I finally muster up the courage to go out dressed, I want for people to see me as the midwestern girl-next-door type and the name Abby was picked out for that connotation. It's about me and how I want to be seem, when I finally want to be seen.

I've always liked the name Victoria. It's stood out to me for years. So when I started dressing, it was my most obvious choice. The middle name Lynn was my ex-wife's, who started to support me dressing (until she decided it was too much for her). My last name is Edwards, which connects my femme name to my given name (my given middle name is Edward).

Well I fell in love with the name Melanie when I was about 7 when I saw it on a doctors busineess card which was her name. I recently rekindled my interest in the name now that I work with a Melanie who is one the best of the women I've ever known. Time for a middle name to match it. :battingeyelashes:
susan jackson
09-29-2013, 03:40 AM
My full female name is Susan Gina Jackson
When I was a child, and I first started dressing, I didn't really think of having a girls name. However, when I was getting tired, my mum would refer to me as being a 'snoozy Suzi', then when I got older, and discovered alcohol, she would call me a 'woozy Suzi', and so Suzi stuck. As I grew more mature (?), I thought Susan was more appropriate
Gina is from a girl I used to know
Jackson - I have no idea why I chose this particular surname

Back to what's in a name. I've answered this one a few times in various ways. Over time the name has changed. As time also changes. I prefer the name to embody the present persona. The old one has passed and doesn't fit me any more, so I drifted into another. Like a feather on the wind....
This name found me, it simply came to mind.
I am Allesandra and I am at your service :)

I go by Katharina, pronounced like "Katrina". As for why I stick with it, it is a name that just fits for me. It has the more unique spelling, but is a natural name, and the spelling makes sure you won't forget it.
It mostly comes from a lecturer I had in university. She had this casual energy and feminism that was both warm and familiar. She wasn't so much of a teacher as someone who felt like your friend telling you something that interested them.

10-14-2013, 04:32 PM
I have a really simple and maybe unexciting way i got my name.
One day I was getting ready for bed and looked in the mirror. I was checking myself out to see how well my new nightgown fit when i looked up and started thinking of names. Then all at once I said "Hello Heather" and that was it. As i stood there feeling very pleased with my new name I decided to honor my favrote place to get nightgowns and decided my last name should be Shirly.
So now i am proud to call myself Heather Shirly and I hope it is a name that you all will see post on here many times to come!

IanBrianna
10-15-2013, 10:46 AM
This is your opportunity.
Please tell us all how your came to choose or were given your female name.
IanBrianna derives from my regular male nickname, Ian, and the name given me by a former Dominant Mistress, Brianna. We mostly communicated via mail and telephone (home computers were not widespread at that time), though I also traveled up to San Luis Obispo and spent an evening with her once. She sent me her personally worn lingerie to wear under my male clothes and specified I was to wear very thin male clothes, so something of her clothes would show through. We met at a motel, and we walked through the lovely town, following a meandering stream, to a Mexican restaurant she liked. Judging from the mocking expressions of the cashier and restaurateur, the outer clothes were sufficiently thin. Then we walked back to the motel and had a pleasant evening together. We stayed in touch for four years, and during that time she put me on a regimen of daily Premarin for about half a year (the limit of her supply). Ever since then, I have had small breasts, whether or not I was taking hormones (I am currently on pueraria mirifica).
She was a lovely person, very musical and educated, and a good friend. In the end she married someone in her town (I lived in San Diego, far away), and I lost touch with her. I have had other dominant girlfriends as well as 'ladies of the afternoon,' and my tastes run to soft but firm dominance, with an emphasis on personal branding and feminization. I have been this way since the age of three, and never regretted it. Sometimes being feminized starts as a kick but then a wonderful and rather strange peaceful mood takes over. Anyhow, that is the origin of IanBrianna.

Hey all. I'm Anita S.
I don't know what the S stands for yet, but I've been Anita S. for a long time. Hiding myself in the corners of my house, and not letting anyone know about my CD.
Long story short, I just love the name Anita and it just feels right. Claimed it the first time for a character in an online game about ten years ago.

Elisa is not actually my female name... or it might be now... not considering it as an alias though. Chose it somewhat randomly when joining another forum, but then again, I just remembered today that ages ago I used to play a PC golf game in which my avatar was a girl whom I named Lisa. Guess it all comes full circle now.

I've always liked the name Danielle and Michele so, I took both of them. Danielle is my first name and Michele is my middle name. It just so happens that my male names start with D and M as well.

My case was similar to others. When I started taking my girl time more seriously I would join forums or look for accesories online, and Michelle was a name I liked, so I'd use that instead my real name.
I like it because it can be used in many places and sounds normal. Right now if I give a full name I type Michelle Macedo (I have a Latin American heritage on my mothers side, so sounds appropriate.
So that was it for me.
Leanna Jean

I had a former gf who dressed me and said what should we call you. Being Leonard my male name we went through all the variations, Lorena, Leona, Lorna, Loren - then names like Leigh Ann and then I said how about Leanna it sounds girly and pretty, later I added Jean which is my mothers's middle name.

Molly. :) I have just always loved the name and I think it goes with my extremely feminine, open-minded, "spacey" lol, energetic, party girl, etc. personality.
Phydelia
10-20-2013, 01:32 PM
i found the name Phydelia on a 19th-century tombstone... i thought it was a beautiful name, and it has the advantage of sounding immediately feminine, but not being associated with any living person, so there's no baggage to it. i started using it as a pen name, and it only seemed natural to take it as my Femme name.

I picked Dawn, I thought it was pretty and it sounds like Don, If someone leaves me a voice message (my male name is Dan) I know it is related to my fem persona and anyone who hears it assumes they mistook my name.

Since a lot of gurls take either a feminine form of the male name they were given at birth or the female name that their parents would have chosen if they'd been born genetically female I did both. ^__^
As a first name I took the "would have been" name: Caleigh
And also decided as a middle name to go with: Danielle
It's a humorous bonus that my initials are then "cd" ^__~

Sarah, because she is a beautiful inspiration to me. One of those girls that you just can't stop checking out her outfits and body. Unfortunately she is the significant other of a friend and so I have to be very careful with my eyes.

I took my female name from a TV character in England when I was young. Her name was Jill Harvey and the programme was crossroads, I hadn't realised at the time I was a crossdresser but there was always something about her I liked. She was always dressed to the nines. Even though I was a normal boy, comics, soccer and normal boys stuff she had a big effect on me. Even if I couldn't explain it at the time.

I have no idea why I chose Ann. Thinking back I see it as very feminine, quick and simple.
Desirae
10-27-2013, 07:26 PM
I've used Desirae for quite a few years in other online forums. I have no idea why I chose that name or even where it came from. Honestly, I really don't even like the name very much. I don't think it fits my personality very well. I should change it, but I have no idea to what.

One evening my wife was watching me do my makeup and she ask me about my female persona. I said what do you mean? She asked me if I acted different when dressed, which I do, and asked me why I don't have a female name? I had never thought about it I guess. She said well you need to change that, you look like a Melinda to me and it just stuck.

I've always been fond of the name Cassandra. Elegant and high-class sounding, brings to mind a madame from the 19th century.
That or Vivian, because the Young Ones rules.
Can't decide which one I'd like to settle on. Think I'm gonna flip a coin.

Robbin_Sinclair
11-01-2013, 07:39 AM
Actually, having been Robbin Sinclair for about a year and I'm tired of it. It is close to my boy name and, except for the two "bs" often is a boy's name.
In my girl world, Robbin has a sister named Rachel. She's much more sane and better with money.
I'm more of a Rachel. Can we legally change our names in forum-land? What are the element in the Petition to Legally Change Name on CD Crossdresser Site?
Maybe we need a moderator's sensible approach.
Just kidding. Love all, happy weekend.
(still) robbin :hugs:

Hi Robbin! I think Rachel is a great name. Go for it, girl.
You look great in a dress! Should wear one every day.
Go with Vivian. It's more down to earth. Cassandra is too dramatic. Nice to meet you.
Sounds like you should be a Melinda full tme.

Carla, a play on Charles. Westin, the last name of a girl I was mesmerised with when I was 14. She opened her bathrobe and showed me her well developed boobies. To me Westin sounds so cool like Lakewood or Braveheart. And, I don't think Carla Lipschitz would be to good.
(Note: my real last name is not Lipshitz!)

IanBrianna
11-05-2013, 06:50 AM
My fem name is Brianna, from which I derive my user name of IanBrianna. Ten years or a little more ago, I served a Domina for four years who named me Brianna.
In her memory I decided to retain the name. Brianna surfaces at times in my mind and takes the fore. She is a young woman still in her early thirties, slim, with a
short hair-do. She is very practical and matter-of-fact. I enjoy giving place to her and seeing the world through her eyes. While not particularly femmy (she is
something of a tomboy), she insists on my femming up as much as possible. This may be all my imagination, but it is fun.

How many of you gurls have chosen a last name as well as your first name? My wife just told me about a neat website - howmanyofme . com . I learned some interesting things about my name:
Deedee: There are 1,585 people in the U.S. with the first name Deedee. Statistically the 4019th most popular first name. More than 99.9 percent of people with the first name Deedee are female.
Skyblue: There are fewer than 118 people in the U.S. with the last name Skyblue.
Deedee Skyblue: There are 1 or fewer people in the U.S. named Deedee Skyblue.\
There are 486 people in the US who share my male name.
Deedee <my other last name>: There are 1 or fewer people in the U.S. named Deedee <other name>.
Deedee Skyblue (there's only 1, accept no imitations!)

It was easy. I just changed the u to an i.
I didn't have a name for the longest time until I started dressing for my wife. She asked what do I want to be called and I said Kim. I like all of the people I know who are named Kim and it just seems to fit me.
